Change sentencing for possession of drugs for personal use so that offenders aren't being sent to prison with rapists and murderers. It would clear up the overcrowding in the prison and would keep people that are struggling with addiction from being bred to be criminals while in prison.
Repeat offenders can have mandatory court ordered rehab that is only paid by the state if the person has no money.
i really think that they can have some dignity , debt paid , because we can't everlastingly push sentences beyond life this would be none sense and unfair.

Change sentencing for possession of drugs for personal use so that offenders aren't being sent to prison with rapists and murderers. It would clear up the overcrowding in the prison and would keep people that are struggling with addiction from being bred to be criminals while in prison.
Repeat offenders can have mandatory court ordered rehab that is only paid by the state if the person has no money.

Business needs profit, so they will continue to lock people up for the most ridiculous of misdemeanour's.
Have a search for the private prison system and what it produces. Not rehabilitated prisoners as one may expect but rather consumer goods made by the cheapest labour money can buy, prisoners.
