  • JAPAN IS NUMBER 1 ANIME

  • It's funny all the USA bashing going on on here because you all claim that the United States is shit and this that and the other thing, etc. Yet when YOUR countries are in trouble, who do you turn to for help? The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The world relies on us. You can say whatever you want about us, but in the end, we always were and always will be on top. Personally, I wouldn't give anyone from another country the time of day, let alone lend them money and aid in everything....

  • @siberia888 eeehmm.....the US has more foreign debt than any other country on earth...just to let you know.

  • @madhat1979 I love how that's always the only comeback people outside for the US can come up with. Just shows how uneducated you truly are. If you wish to actually have a real conversation about your smart ass remark, send me a personal message and I will be happy to put you on blast. I cannot reply in just 500 characters.

  • @siberia888 It's not the only comeback I can come up with, but you say you wouldn't lend any country money, I just reply that the US are in debt with a lot of countries.

It is just all very ironic.

  • nice, music?

  • haha Tokyo :D

  • really?!? man i worked in geneva and zurich and the minimum wage is about just 2 times that!! even when compared in PPP they are richer than most of the sities you displayed... and dont tell me that i dont know wath im saying cause o have a degree of international relations and a master in economics...

  • Actually, per capita + size of the population makes NYC the richest in the World.

  • Kool Tokyo<333

  • Where is Malaysia?

  • @MrAkuamirul poor malaysian...those are for cities..not countries..is malaysia a city or country??? FAIL! malaysia, the country without conception but 'contraception'.

  • I found a study by the Brookings Institute that Hartford Connecticut is the richest city based on per capita GDP, and Oslo is the 2nd richest city based on per capita GDP. They hardly have populations anywhere comparable to Tokyo or New York. It is easy to have a larger per capita GDP when your population is so small. Per capita GDP is just GDP divided by population. This video is about the cities with the largest GDP's by 2025 and not metopolitan areas.

  • I love Japan, and I love the US too. I don't mean to insult any city here but I observed that New York City(Metro) has a population about a third the size of the Tokyo metropolitan area, and yet, it has an economy that is not much far behind.(I think about 2-3% smaller) .. You can verify this. Thats an amazing thing isn't it?

Greetings from India. I wish to visit Tokyo some day.

  • @binoyrakesh The Tokyo Metro area population is the largest in the world, and the NY metro area is the 4th largest. No, the NY metro area isn't 1/3 the size of Tokyo metro. The Tokyo metro area has approx. 35 million people and the NY metro area has 20 million people, not 1/3 of the Tokyo metro area. Anyway, these statistics are for the actual cities not metropolitan areas.

  • @binoyrakesh I can't find the lastest GDP's for Tokyo metro area, but it is the richest metropolitan area based on GDP. All I can find are old statistics from 2008. NY's GDP was 1.28 trillion in 2010. So NY went from 1,406 trillion in 2008 to 1.28 trillion in 2010? Isn't that a decrease in GDP? I don't get it.

  • @pagliacci567 Tokyo's GDP was 1.9 trillion back in 2008 and New York's was 1.28 trillion, but those aren't the latest GDP's. New York, London, and Tokyo are the 3 major financial capitols of the world. Oslo is the 2nd richest city in terms of per capita GDP according to the Brookings Institute, but it's not a financial capitol like the other 3.

  • @binoyrakesh Tokyo is better than New York. Tokyo is called the most livable megalopolis and most space age city in the world. Tokyo is a decade ahead of NY & the rest of the world in technology. Sorry, but New York has shanty towns like the Bronx & Harlem, and Manhattan smells like piss. But both Tokyo & NY are called megalopoli. Small cities like Hartford, CT and Oslo, Norway can't even be compared to them.

  • @didier2120 what are you all up in arms for?

MONEY. I said that NY with a much smaller population, has an economy only 2% smaller than Tokyos.

Technology, Shanties, "piss smell" , being ten years ahead - I never talked about that.

    Stop TROLLING.

  • PPL who are saying that Canada is a world third Country , they are making a big Mistake ...Canada is one of the most beautiful and great country in the world .

  • I saw in the news today that Oslo, Norway is the second richest city in the world based on people's income. Don't remember the number one.. *Monte Carlo* in Monaco, does that count as a city? Wouldn't think so, since they're just approx.30 thousand inhabitants or something there! : )

  • @winterstellar Oslo Norway isn't considered a rich city when you consider that its nominal GDP. Oslo Norway is not a world financial capitol like Tokyo or Zurich, so that's bullshit. In fact, Norway is insignificant as a country. What the hell do you export? Herring? Norway is a consumer nation which has minimal impact on the world economy.

  • @praha265 Err...oil and gas, and pleeeeenty of it. There's this new, amazing source on the web called called "wikipedia", check it out, check out the wiki article on Norway, "Jaroslav". Hehe, and why don't you come here to work, seems like half of Europe is trying to now since there's no recession here, but just this seemingly ever-lasting boom. Check out wikipedia on Norway. Haha, "herring" was funny..but oil and gas sure has been funnier since the 70s and will be for another 50-100yrs. : )

  • @winterstellar Yes, the Wikipedia is Not a reliable source of information by any means, so there goes your argument. Anyone can post in the Wikipedia. The Wiki isn't a reliable source of information by any means. Just because it's posted in the Wiki doesn't make it fact. Oslo isn't a major financial capitol, and Norway isn't a major exporter nation. Whether it becomes one remains to be seen. Norway is still largely a consumer nation with minimal impact on the world economy.

  • @oxfordblues18 Wiki is reliable in the fact that that errors are fixed by experts, sort of like peer-reviewing in science. And the other thing: Norway is a top exporter of natural gas, and a big exporter of oil. Also electricity from all the thousands of hydro-electric powerplants. Lots of mountains, valleys, glaciers and stuff too' you know.We hardly use any of the oil, gas, or power ourselves,it almost all goes to export. That's why we always have big budget surpluses to invest, and never borrow:)

  • @winterstellar But forget wiki, the United Nations also have rankings of best functioning countries, happiest, richest per capta, most developed(their HDI-index) and so on and so on, and the bottom line is that NOrway is on top according to the UN, not just wikipedia.:)

  • @winterstellar The Wikipedia has never been a reliable source of information, and the errors are not fixed by "experts". You give the Wikipedia way too much credit. It can claim what it wants, but I've seen plenty of bogus information posted in the Wikipedia, because anyone can post in it. So you can forget that.

  • @winterstellar Norway has a very small population. It should be able to function well. It's much easier when you have a small population of people to manage. Per capita GDP just means GDP divided by population. It's easy to have a highe per capita GDP when you have a small population, but it doesn't mean that most Norwegians are rich either. You can't even live off of a salary of $54,000 US in many wealthy countries. What are the UN's standards for the most developed countries?

  • @oxfordblues18 I meant to say that you can't even live off of $54,000 US in parts of other wealthy nations. If that's your annual salary, you're definitely not rich. Like other countries, Norway is a country with its corporate rich & other rich people and mostly middle class Norwegians, who aren't rich.

  • @oxfordblues18 There are differences in income of course, but not in a lightyear near the differences of for instance the USA or some third world dump. No poverty, no illiteracy, and virtually no crime. Huuum, wonder where I'd choose to be a citizen, hehe. The US is okay for holidays, but I wouldn't live there. Not without a bullet-proof vest and a baseball bat to fight off street preachers, hehe!

  • @oxfordblues18 The HDI,for instance. Human development index or something. Anyway, nobody holidays as much as we do, and nobody tips as well either, according to stats at tourist resorts. And when we grow old, we move to Spain,France,Greece,Brasil and Thailand, places like that.So we must be doing something right here.(By the way, the 54 000 that's the average for every single norwegian, isn't it?Not just the working force? On the YouTube TYTchannel they said 98000 somehow..idunno.But TYTrocks, man!

  • I don't quite understand. The greater Tokyo metropolitan area is already the richest metropolitan area in the world. I assume that when they quote the GDP for Tokyo, they're not including the GDP for the greater metropolitan area of Tokyo.

  • sao paulo is going to be one of the richest cities by 2050

  • The price of goods went down in Tokyo, with nice service :) but not cheap.

  • what about sydney and bribane

  • WHERE'S LISBON? KKK!

  • Tokyo is the 4th richest city in the world right now, not much of a stretch of the imagination for 2025.

  • Japan, Switzerland, and Norway are the most expensive countries in the world with the greatest number of top 10 most expensive cities in the world.

  • this is fake. Non of u.s cities is rich n expensive -.- this is the correct one! ! 1 Tokyo Japan 2 Luanda Angola 3 Ndjamena Chad 4 Moscow Russia 5 Geneva Switzerland 6 Osaka Japan 7 Zurich Switzerland 8 Singapore Singapore 9 Hong Kong Hong Kong 10 Sao Paulo Brazil
  • @VanNelleish You're wrong. Your list is of the most expensive cities in the world, not the richest cities, and those African countries are very poor. Japan, Norway, and Switzerland have the greatest number of top 10 expensive cities in the world. Japan has 5 of the top 10 most expensive cities in the world, including Tokyo, the most expensive city in the world.

  • @IslamISofTheDevil666 Not just big cities. That's stupid. Tokyo is one of the financial capitals of the world with the world's 3rd largest economy.

  • you have mountains in LA? with snow?? wtf?

  • Philadelphia represent!

  • AFF RIO DE JANEIRO LA TRAZ

  • dubai ??!!

  • Tokyo is not only the richest city in the world, it is also the best one ever<3 !!!

  • Dubai too...why Dubai not in video?

  • why Malaysia not in video? whereas...Malaysia more rich and less debt than india!!! damn!!!

  • @MrAremeeroll shutp the fuc* up!! the video talks about gdp ppp and not per capita..india by 2025 will be the 2nd richest in terms of gdp..ppp and nominal as well...

  • @straightliner15 ok..sorry friends...

  • @MrAremeeroll no need for any apology!! ok??? u must read the heading first and then let ur mind run like freak to comment and get some likes...lol

  • Hahaha, watch Turkey on year 2023, and maybe if ur alive on that year dont forget to think about me..

  • Good Video

  • :) México

  • i thought dubia would be on here

  • why are the british so jealous of america? DAMN all you guys do is talk shit on here?

  • Shii is only about the western world, ignorant people.

  • Those are inflated money.

What was the price of a bread in 1995, 2010 and what will be the price of a bread in 2025 ?

  • This is pure crap, by 2025 Japan and USA would be off the list.

  • @IslamISofTheDevil666 It is also based on trade perspective such as the value which they carry among their respective stock exchanges. In the case of Dubai, Doha, etc. Their exchange power is not as competitive in comparison to this cities.

  • This is bullshit.

Houston already has a GDP/GMP of $384 Billion for 2010.

    That is FACTUAL.

In 15 years it will probably be $600 Billion.

Who makes up this shit ?

  • Hooray to Tokyo, Chicago, and Mexico City :D.

  • philli over hong kong??? LMFAO

  • @19nachito87

    Exactly.

Philly is a dying NE city that is losing population, and Hong Kong is rolling right along.

  • yeh right, what about dubai,Riyad,Jeddah Edinburgh,Abu Dhabi.Probaly American did this listprobaly dont know wher these places are.

  • @rippingale100 Edinburgh? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • This is a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Damn you tokyo!

  • dudeee Montreal and Vanvouver

  • never heard of toronto?

  • New York should be on the top...Followed by Europe countries then Tokyo...Singapore should also be included...atleast in the top 10

  • No Canadian cities? If you are American, did you forget where all your raw resources come from? My province hasnt even really hit a recession...

  • @GoGadgetHookerClean

Yeah, but who buys your resources? Besides, the US could invade Canada and conquer it in a month pretty easily.

  • @jonathanparis1988 wow ur a complete idiot. The US conquer Canada?? U MUST HAVE NO FORMAL EDUCATION. They couldnt and wouldnt dare attempt to conquer Canada

  • @jonathanparis1988 HAHA funny. US invade Canada. Too funny. US will pretty much get their ass kicked by Canada and All other countries like China, Russia, UK and more countries who you owe more than 15 trillion dollars to.

  • @Toronto324 i apologize on behalf of all of the ignorant americans

  • HEY PEOPLE THE TOP 2 FINANCIAL CITIES IS NEW YORK(WALL STREET) AND LONDON.

  • new york is the first for me!

  • yayayyayay go london and omg i knew tokyo would be 1st GO JAPAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • both top comments contradict each other :/

  • most Asian cities enjoy better positions in your rank, as they are much more populous than most cities in western countries, i think GDPP would make more sense.

  • What with United Arab Emirates?

  • 東京が1位?うーーん住んでる人間としてはあまり実感がないなぁ。

  • ?what?

  • Why do people ask for Dubai? Not becuase it is well developed it means it generates the same GDP as these cities.

  • without homo sapiens, the world is "safer" and the ape shall rise

  • Foret about individual CITIES where wealth is concentrated...measure by the NATIONAL PER CAPITA BASIS.....#1 Switzerland # 2 Australia

  • I hate china and hope they fall flat on their baby killing faces

  • without the USA, the world is fucked!!!

  • This video is a fucking shit. You didn't put milan rome etc.. what the hell dude thumbs down.

  • I would say this is mostly right, but what about Frankfurt and Dubai?

  • wheres dubai??????

  • London number 4 cool :P

  • wer is dubai

  • @abhishekbadoniya yup,,dubai is pretty rich tooo

  • @iLuvJapann Tokyo is established. It is not emerging. Growth should be steady but slow not exponential. Tokyo is an American built city like Western Europe after WWII. Tokyo is like the United State, big but maxed out a little. Tokyo plays by the rules established. Other cities like ones in China and Moscow are big cheats and cheaters get ahead till they are forced to play by the rules.

  • Fuck U.S !!! Long Live ASIA!!!

  • @FaaduProductions no the both continets and contries r equally the same as we are all human biengs we should learn to be friends and US pwned Japan i ww2

  • @FaaduProductions Without the USA Asia is fucked.

  • @jayc342009 without China, USA is fucked, wait how many history does USA has? Oh, 200 years? at most 400 years? China has 5000 years history, at least you should show your respect to the 5000 years civilization which invented almost everything you use now

  • @MinneFlagship Mate 20% of the most important inventions we use today came from america. %50% came from britain. Most inventions we use today came from europe. At the moment china is helping solve the problem the euro is having, because the euro has supported china for years. I respect china alot.

  • @jayc342009 All you "invented" now is a modern version of ancient inventions of Four Great Civilizations (China, Mesopotamia, India, Egypt). So you, my friend, invented nothing. The reason why China is in trouble is because of filthy communism and filthy democracy and before all else, because Qing idiots (Manchus) frose China in time, yet their rule happened because of one betrayer in Ming army, they couldn't take China by themselves. You arrogant European...

  • @GuitarDestroyer77777 Wow okay, so Europe invented nothing? Wow and i'm the ignorant one? You thick little cunt. Not even going to bother arguing with a thick retard like you, completely ignorant to say Europe invented nothing, really ignorant.

  • @jayc342009 Hehe, Egypt and Mesopotamia gave you everything you have, nothing else, you are just a descendant that just "modernized" their inventions. Everything in Europe comes from Egypt and Mesopotamia. The only pure people in Europe were ancient tribes (Gauls, Saxons, Britons etc.) also Greek civilization deserves a lot of respect. You, a "modern" Europe is nothing, just a copy...

  • @GuitarDestroyer77777 Sooo europe is just a "copy" and stole all the technology.....WOW HAHAH!!! You're a complete idiot.....seriously you are.

  • @jayc342009 Are you going to prove me wrong? Tell me any "European invention" and you'll see that the original was not even closely invented in Europe. Oh, wait, didn't you say you wont speak to me anymore? Why continue?

  • @jayc342009 hey mate, speak frankly, without thousands of significant inventions made in China in the history, there will be no western inventions, without the invention of paper, gunpowder, compass and printing, without the great voyage in Ming dynasty, try to picture what our human-being will be like today. and I respect to Europe and USA too for creating a modern and digital world, but obviously, none of Europeans and americans show respect to China in nowadays

  • @MinneFlagship HAHA i respect china, i just don't respect ignorant people. China is trying to help the EU with their euro problem. Also tell @GuitarDestroyer77777 to suck a fat one.

  • @jayc342009 Hehe, you are really a fool, as I've said China is ruled by CCP and no matter what they (CCP) do it makes no sense because they are devils not real Chinese. Yet you, tell my friend to tell me what you've said, why are you afraid to say that to me personally?

  • @GuitarDestroyer77777 I don't really care mate, bye.

  • @jayc342009 You should, you left with no argument whatsoever, and yet you insulted me, my friend, and Chinese people. Now you spit on all your words and say "bye". I don't blame you, arrogance cannot prevail, only truth. But here's a friendly advice, before you post this kind of nonsense again on some other places, make sure that you think a lot before you yap again.......

  • @GuitarDestroyer77777 Okay, bye.

  • @jayc342009 I'm glad you took my advice. :)

  • @GuitarDestroyer77777 I didn't listen to the part "europe invented nothing" but fine, whatever. You showed ignorance aswel.

  • @jayc342009 Look, this is not a debate, I do not wish to argue with you or humiliate neither you or me. I only wish that Europeans stop with arrogance, we are all humans and nationalities shall not divide us, no matter where something was invented and by which ethnic group you shall realize that before everything it was invented by humans. Equality, glory and peace to all.

  • @jayc342009 Actually, without Asia, the USA is fucked...

  • @AldousMiguel actually, without asia the rest of the world would have to go back to manufacturing there own shit and living by there means... omg what a nightmare!

  • @AldousMiguel

and without USA, asia is fucked too...

  • @MrBugfunk WE still have CHINA, LOL at YOU.

  • @AldousMiguel yoyoy

  • @jayc342009 Are you kidding me? Without Asia, USA wouldn't survive. Asia produces so much goods that are in the US market from cars to clothes. Plus, China holds over $14 billion of US bonds alone and over $1.2 trillions in combined bills, notes and bonds! I love USA, but the glorified image of America is just a visual illusion, my friend.

  • @supermonk3y07 I knew Mexico Citie's population is easily compared to cities like New York, LA, Tokyo, London and even Seoul, but I still thought that the economy was very far behind...though still its economy lags behind most of the above, Mexico cities economies still is quite large and not that far behind =D

  • Wow, I underestimated Mexico City, I thought Mexico City's GDP was closer to 300 or 400 billion PPP. Although its no. 7 in this video, I think that it's still high, that's more than half the countries total GPD, although like almost 1/3 of Mexicans live there. 745 bill, is larger than even whole countries like Sweden, Argentina, Chile...I am impressed. I have good hopes for my country Mexico to get better. To become something like Canada, US, Australia, =D

  • Where was Berlin?

  • I can't see Tokyo passing New York City. I can see Shanghi or Hong Kong moving to number 1.

  • u cannot predict because country birthrates are increasing at a gigantic rate and because of overpopulation the cities can change composition

  • Notice how most of them are developed capitalist cites. Just saying the ones that aren't as developed don't appear as much. *cough* China *cough* India.

Also if you see the rest of China and India outside of the major cities it is shit.

It's all about quantity there not quality. Good luck in the 21st century, brag about your stats all you want!

  • @ListWritingMachine india is developing 90 green cities, and infrastructure by 2025, and china is doing so to 130, stop being close minded.

  • @iamgig9876 Oh they've got a long way to go, I went to India once (why I don't know,) and it smelled like shit!

  • @ListWritingMachine as i said only 2 cities in india and like 6 in china look a littrle developed, others do look like shit, but the whole of india smells of curry..

  • @ListWritingMachine

    No,You Didn't ...

  • @FaaduProductions Didn`t what?

  • @ListWritingMachine That's because they POO ON THE GROUND!

  • @th3saints WHAT!?.

  • india will be no. 5 in 2025.i can challenge yu yu all fuckeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrssssssssss

  • rusia is not in europe

  • @anatoleirene

Well, the largest part of Russia is in Asia, and a smaller part in Europe. Moscow, its capital city, is is Europe. There was a time when Russia was spread in three continents, when Alaska belonged to that country. It was the only country ever located in three continents.

  • @anatoleirene Rusia Is split Smart Shit...

  • @anatoleirene - A part of Russia is en Europe and the other part is in Asia!

  • you forgot detroit... lol

  • USA will go bankrupt and won't do the top 25 anymore LOL

  • @21Vaillant Well if USA goes bankrupt, economic impacts on other countries would be huge. You realize that USA is the biggest buyer in the world.

  • @jonvarlig people that talk shit online generally have no clue what they're talking about... most people don't realize that America has the LARGEST economy in the world... and that we have the highest GDP and purchasing power... -__- so yeah, their hate stems from jealousy.

  • GO!GO!GO!,...... HURRAY FOR JAPAN!

    I LOVE JAPAN VERY MUCH!

    I'M A FILIPINA

  • WHERE IS PHILIPPINES?

  • @johnchristophercidro READ THE TITLE. IT'S NOT ABOUT THE COUNTRIES BUT CITIES.
