u should get a new straightener. ur already doing a great job(but don't stop at the ends it causes damage) ur hair would look even better with a prfessional straightener. they don't cost that much if u get a good one like i have. my hair is just like urs ecept longer and i use a titanium tools and it cost about $45 at sally's. and the one u have is too big for your short hair get a 1" flat iron.
