Theologically, I recently read about a woman who had been blinded when a man she spurned threw acid in her face. Under Islamic law, she was given the right to do the same to him. Whatever sort of God Muslims believe in, to assume that God is vindicitive and wrathful speaks to psychology more than theology. Jesus would have commanded the victim to forgive. In Islam, retribution is appropriate. How does this lift mankind? What an evil religion.

Islam allows the victim to either forgive or retaliate and this girl chose retaliation.

@dsindc There is no force to forgive nor to retaliate. The victim is allowed to choose between retaliation and forgiveness. God says it's "better" to forgive not "you must forgive". You can search and read about the inquisitors of middle ages, who believed that burning people was for God and they're evil belief had been approved by Pope. Did they forgive the people? Have this in mind, they were erudite people in religious books and matters. And don't forget, all of us speak to the same God.
