the fullerton referenced in this song is fullerton street in the lincoln park neighborhood of chicago. never the less, this band always felt super west coast, and fulteron in so-cal fits!

Fullerton Street, in Chicago. As in "somewhere down ON fullerton" street. On the street, not in the city. Also, the video has lots of scenes from chicago. at 18 seconds, that's the L passing overhead, at 55 seconds, that's the city sky line in the background with the sears tower. So yes, the song is about fullerton street in lincoln park chicago, not about so-cal. but like i said before, it works for so cal!

good question man. i think it has to do with where the sound originated though. blink 181 is from so cal. going farther back, unwritten law, face to face, bad religion, rancid, etc area all west coast as well. i think its just that we associate the sound with the west coast. who knows though.

In adition, i could not find any single band that does not have a song related to the west coast. To make us feel better, we all need to find our own "fullerton st" or "ocean avenue", if its near a coastal side, better. Yeah, west coast!!
