I dunno why there's all the hate on A7X, though, this is the Internet, so it's to be expected. Nonetheless, I've grown up on classic rock and heavy metal, good shit like Priest, Maiden, Metallica, Anthrax, etc. This is the music I love.

But give credit where it's due. Because of how awesome these old bands are, I listen to some newer stuff like Avenged. These guys are keeping hard rock alive. It's not easy in a world of Bieber's and Hannah Montana's.

Respect those keeping the dream alive.

Without guys like A7X taking the forefront and trying their hardest to keep rock and metal alive, this world wouldn't have good music like this as anything more than a fond memory. I'd rather live in a world with a few newer bands taking initiative and saying, "Hey, let's rock the fuck out." even if they aren't particularly liked rather than thinking about when rock was still alive.

Well, just because you happen to like Emo bands, it doesn't mean they are metal. Avenged Sevenfold = Metalcore = Emo + Hardcore, which both come from Punk. The hate for these bands comes from the fact that either the fans or band members call it Heavy Metal. So, I really like the punk band Misfits. I guess I should start calling them Heavy Metal.

I thought it was awesome that Nu Metal was at it's height in 2000, easily THE worst sub-genre of metal out there, and Rob releases this shredding masterpiece with some of THE best singing I've ever heard. Seriously, this album is a masterpiece, WAY better than anything Priest has done since he rejoined. Although, Angel Of Retribution is a masterpiece as well. Nostradamus is alright.
