The German sheer guts & glory designs influenced the strength & power. The American Sherman & M series tanks influenced streamlined availability without sacrificing power/strength. I have had my tiger since xmas, and love having "TIGER TIME", i.e. a smoke, coffee , rc panzer fun. Every new parent should own one! My remote control is kaput however. I can raise/lower main gun and shoot ,but no control over turret's rotation. Joystick feels limp, the right stick springs back to vertical after being pushed. ANYWAY, if anyone out there could tell me where to either buy a new handset or fix this, I'd be grateful! My tiger being stuck has turned it into an assault gun! no good!

I have a rc tank not like that one it is a Bulldog and I have had it for like a couple of months and have had no problems and I got it for around 80 bucks but I do have to be careful not to run it through water or mud or tall grass and I have the rubber kind of tracks but over all I love it.

this tank is a piece of shit..i bought mine and it broke in less than 5mins outside in my backyard shredded a track! the detail of tank is excellent but the tank itself is garbage.,maybe after a few after market upgrades itl be better but out the box its shit! it if you ask me its better to buy the tamiya version its more expensive but a better tank overall.

The Tank is great, Track is okay, drove about 2 miles with ist, everything works! Be sure to boy the one with metal gears and don`t drive through high gras.

Actually I kinda have to agree. You either get problems with the tracks, or u get shitty radio units that go haywire very easily. I bought a Type 90 tank from the same brand Heng Long and guess what? Everything worked fine for three months until a rear suspension broke. Then now I have to be very careful with it cos the goddamn radio units shorts out very easily. Thinking of buying a Tamiya Tiger tank. Much better quality.

For the price, it's a lot of fun. Most people would be very happy with it. If you want "the best" though, the Japanese can't be beat as far as quality and detail goes. You just have to pay for that.

@DemocraticOrder well it isnt a toy, or more precisely, it shouldnt be... it is simply scale model. for example, i have 1:10 onroad xray rc car for racing... and even that it is rc car, it isnt a toy... its rc model made for racing, this is similiar, tamiya tanks are not toys but true models for show etc... this heng long is somewhere between toy and model, but i personally think its more like toy... if you are someone who want to play with it, but you dont want to put so much money in it

the HL tiger is a copy of the Tamiya model, but to avoid getting sued, HL made the above model with 3 deliberate mistakes, so it isnt exactly like the Tamiya...1...the turret hatch is deliberately in the wrong place. 2 the gun is in the half recoil position, 3..the gun mantlet has come out of the factory deliberately placed upside down!!!.

IANAL but how can you get sued for making a model Tiger Tank look like a Tiger Tank? I like Tamiya, but they don't "own" the look of a Tiger tank anymore than HL. Are you sure these aren't just mistakes? Maybe HL needs a better lawyer.

Companies like Tamiya do not hold any Patented Rights to the design of the Tiger I Model, if they Tamiya did, everyone would be forced to purchase one brand only and thats not fair to the consumers.

Is that the smoke generator making that sound, I thought it was your turret at first then noticed it was not moveing, its so loud you cant hrer the sound FX very well, I am now glad i havent put a smoke generator in my Tiger, with some upgrades on your Tiger it will look and perform much better. everything on these tanks is very cheap to fix, or upgrade. they are easy to work on too. there is a mountain of bolt on bits available and as they are only £40 on ebay, they are brilliant!

hey i dont know where u buy your tanks from but i find that heng long are reliable. yes the tracks come off from side to side. either the tanks u buy are from a very low standard shop, they have been dropped or you are just too violent with them. they are not designed to be driven high speed over hard obstacles.
