Um...isn't there one important scene missing from when Holden and Lily first meet? Doesn't he jump out of the stable in front of Dusty and Lily and basically startles her? I'm not seeing that anywhere in these clips...:(

@katie66bug There was some editing done for the rebroadcast years later, but it seems like that scene was long enough to have aired in the previous episode. It's too important moment to cut out since the whole point of showing it again was to see when they met.

Firing Martha and Scott Bryce was the final, jump the shark moment for ATWT. Noelle is fine, even pretty good, when one stops blaming her for this new version of Lily, which ISN'T Lily at all. But the bottom line is Scott IS Craig, Martha IS Lily and the show should have been smarter in making a deal work

Wow like I said in the first video, this bring back so many memories! My grandma used to make us watch this and I STILL remember this actual episoed when it first aired, I must have been only like 5 years old but still remember it to this day! What happened to this Lilly? Why'd she leave the show? Think she will ever return? I saw it today and Holden cheated on Lilly with that annoying blonde!

In March of 2008, Martha Byrne (Lily) was re-negotiating her contract. She asked that she be given a guarantee of episodes per year, which is customary for soap opera contracts. Instead of responding to her request, the production company fired her and found a replacement, Noelle Beck. Byrne is probably too expensive for the show, so I wouldn't expect her back. They hired this Craig again in 2007, and he lasted less than a year because his standards were higher than the writers'.

They didn't exactly fire her. The negotiations were still on-going. They did, however, put out a casting call for the part of Lily, thinking it would scare her into signing. Instead she was insulted and left of her own accord.

If I remember correctly, this isn't the very first time Lily and Holden meet. The image of Holden swinging out of the rafters in a barn and surprising Lily keeps popping up when I think of the first time they meet. Ever their dialogue in this scene sounds like they've already meet at this point.

I didn't see the story when it originally aired, but what I have seen in random episodes shows me that Dusty was no match for Holden. I think it was much harder to choose between Holden and Damian. Those guys could drive you nuts with desire in a way Dusty didn't, pretty eyes or not.

Holden looks good here, but Dusty has better days as well and Holden had worse days than this also. Remember Holden is a couple years older than Dusty. As Dusty gets older, things even out more. The biggest thing is that Dusty was the original pairing for Lily and he was always the good guy back in the day. Holden had some schemes with Meg and held some truths from Lily. Regardless, those were great stories back then for sure!

Luther's Corner & the Snyder farm is now a lot closer to Oakdale, at least it seems that way (makes me wonder how much Oakdale supposedly grew since this time period when Luther's Corner was 11 miles outside of Oakdale).
