@jakesnake237 the 560ti is a lot better in performance than the 550. i would just spend or save more for the 560ti. i've never tried fallout but i know assasin's creed isn't that hard to run. I can run it on my laptop just fine and it looks awesome.
@jakesnake237 The 550 is a great card but not really powerful enough to play games at ultra settings at a playable FPS. Go for the 560 since it only costs slightly more but performs significantly better. Personally I think the Radeon 6870 is the best choice at that price range considering it cost's about 20 bucks less and perform's slightly better the the GTX 560!
@NINJApenguinCHIMP IT doesn't, but it still isn't fast enough to capture a "frame/image" that appears and dissapears so fast...although 30 or 60 aren't the correct numbers...the human eye can only capture amount of fps's
No human eye is the same. Statistically for most 30 FPS is the maximum people can see any difference. For some though it can range from 31 all the way up to 200. No human is the same so stop saying humans can only see up to 30 FPS. Most can, but some can basically go up to 200.
Probably true. I never understand why people say 30 fps is the most you can see. I notice is a massive difference between 30 and 60, and then i notice an even bigger difference between 60 and 120. But generally 60fps+ is extremely smooth.
@DiViNiTY1337 no no no no no. just no that is not a good argument because duhhhhh seeing half the frames that the person that poos on you is bad and so on. go to bestbuy look at a 60hz 120hz and 240hz tv and then come back at me bro
Lol i get 36 fps on crysis 1920x1200 very high,0aa, 0af, dx10 with 8800 Ultra sli. The GTX 460/560 TI isnt much of an upgrade since sli of previous generation cards get around the same fps as a GTX 560 TI just no dx11. GTX 470/570 would be a better upgrade.
@PCGamerLewis That varies a lot from person to person. Some jet-fighter pilots are able to notice something passing by in a 200th of a second, meaning they can see up to a 200 FPS. You should try gaming with 120 fps on a 120hz monitor, most people do notice a difference even beyond 60 fps, but not as much as from 30 to 60 for example.
@ThisIsItBing That's probably an engine error. If you have a 60HZ monitor, and you have an FPS over 60, then it doesn't matter at all. Your monitor cannot show more then 60FPS if you have a 60HZ monitor. The human eye is not based on FPS. It uses a different system. But I think our eye can see more then 200FPS. I can tell the difference between 200FPS on a 200HZ monitor and 60FPS on a 60HZ monitor.
And to answer your question, CSS is not really good for FPS comparisons.
@ulkord then obviously u have no clue bout the card anyway crysis isnt tht good graphics witcher 2 has bout same if u leave some options on high not ultra
@Arnoud1987000 did i say full AA no i said high graphics and yh u can a bit jittery wiv explosions but playable i have antiailiasing on x2 i never said it was up high anyway y would i lie im upgrading to higher card for 3d
@Tazzjohn260 your card cant burn out. its meant to be used so you can also max it. as long as you dont overclock it to the max and dont have enough cooling its fine because even on maximum capacity there is still plenty of headroom because nvidia for example doesnt clock the gpu so high in order to be more durable.
@Tazzjohn260 You can burn out your card... but only from overvolting it, like a lot of GTX 570s we're burning out at 1.1V, otherwise yeah it's possible to freeze. You can tell if it froze when the screen goes black and you hear the fan speed change drastically (going back to boot profile). The only way something will burn out without overclocking is if you SOMEHOW manage to start a damn fire in the case or if it's very old and fizzles out, much less of a burn, just clearing that up for others.
@Tazzjohn260 well, i got also the 8800 GTX and got a GTX 580 now.. but with the 8800 GTX BF3 is running on like 20 fps is really a shit experience even on 1024x768.. so you LIE!! and that was with i5 quad core on 3800 mhz and 8GB of ram !
@nukeclears strange. try the driver before that and if thats not the case check your tempure of the card because gpu can get very hot. when hot the gpu performance degrades due to the heat so go check that out :)
This is the problem.. you compare the king back than to the novice crap mid reange card today.. the 560ti.. is crap i had 2 of them in SLI on 1 Ghz...... the frame buffer is way too small and a lack of memory so crysis wont run good with a load of frame drops and stutter you need 1.5GB of physical vga ram and about 220 gbps for good 16xaa response and good fps..

What resolution is Linus running when he uses the 8800? Cos I have an 8800 GTS and get about 30-40fps on 1080p and 50-60 on 720p both with Medium settings.
@acana79 well, he compared an old beast and a new mainstream. So, it's obvious that the chosen old beast is very old, so, why not compare the new mainstream with the previous beast ( read:highend )? Your suggestion has not its place here pal.
I totally disagree. He says 3 years is about the average upgrade cycle, and people who bought the 8800 gtx/ultra are people who would look at the GTX 580, not a mainstream card like the GTX 560. The point of this article makes no sense. Either you take the old crown, compare it with the new crown and study the performance gains. Or you look at old mainstream vs new mainstream. There is no point in cross referencing since you’re targeting different consumers.
@acana79 why bad? I had nvidia 7900 and stepped to GTX 260 after a year or 2 after the 200 series. For me it was important to know the difference with and older card and a new card. I had to google it. FOr people with an older card it's good to know the big difference with the newer card. Voila. Thumbs up for this video thumbs for your comment :P
@acana79 Faggot, the GTX 560 Can run any game at 30+ fps on any settings, just because people don't want to spend $575 on a Shitstick video card doesn't mean their video card is "main stream".
with a 2600K CPU you wont notice any bottle neck with a 560TI XD i mean i have a Q6600 CPU on LGA 775 over clocked FSB to 1333 and the ghz to 3.0 and i dont notice any bottleneck at all :P
@gmxgamer Your PSU will support that but little games support physx so I don't see a gain. But for games that do support physx such as mafia 2 and Batman AC you see a nice boost in performance especially on high physx settings
@ElegyForTheMasses I was about to say the same thing 3 years and 560ti cant run a old game on max? Wth? no point in upgrading till the 600 series then
Whoa. The screenshots in the end were impressing. I'm going to buy a GTX 560 Ti soon. I know, there are already better cards on the market, but it's the best I can afford.
@ShikogoFox lol gtx 570 580 and 590 are the only stocks graphi cards better than gtx 560 ti
and you will be AMAZED with the power that this card give to you compared by the price
if you overclock it and if you have a good coolin system you will bring this gtx to the power of a 570 or even to a gtx 580 , i have 4 independent fans and i brought my gtx to 1.1 ghz to the core clock and 2335 to memory clock addin only 1.5v to the vcore and only go to 80c celsius under very full load
maybe the corsair 1200 wats but i was thinkin ... i will get the gtx 590 but i will keep my gtx 560ti to use physx ,do you think is a good idea to do that?
@gmxgamer seeing as u want the best... u may want to wait for kepler.. or the 7000 series for amd.. they just released 7970...it's the new fastest single gpu right now.. faster than 580... and just better in every aspect..kepler will come out late this year i think..
When a game goes under 60fps in a game i can see the difference from when it is a solid 60 (when i set fps cap)

@acana79 did you mean - "compare it to the GTX285" ?
zorandesign 1 month ago
@zorandesign no
acana79 1 month ago
@acana79 well, he compared an old beast and a new mainstream. So, it's obvious that the chosen old beast is very old, so, why not compare the new mainstream with the previous beast ( read:highend )? Your suggestion has not its place here pal.
zorandesign 1 month ago
I totally disagree. He says 3 years is about the average upgrade cycle, and people who bought the 8800 gtx/ultra are people who would look at the GTX 580, not a mainstream card like the GTX 560. The point of this article makes no sense. Either you take the old crown, compare it with the new crown and study the performance gains. Or you look at old mainstream vs new mainstream. There is no point in cross referencing since you’re targeting different consumers.

@acana79 ok. you think that way, I think different. nvm

@acana79 He usually does comparisons by price.

@acana79 why bad? I had nvidia 7900 and stepped to GTX 260 after a year or 2 after the 200 series. For me it was important to know the difference with and older card and a new card. I had to google it. FOr people with an older card it's good to know the big difference with the newer card. Voila. Thumbs up for this video thumbs for your comment :P
capcom23 3 weeks ago
@acana79 Faggot, the GTX 560 Can run any game at 30+ fps on any settings, just because people don't want to spend $575 on a Shitstick video card doesn't mean their video card is "main stream".
TheGenesisfreak 3 weeks ago
@TheGenesisfreak I don't think you know what Mainstream is. And there's no need to be rude.

with a 2600K CPU you wont notice any bottle neck with a 560TI XD i mean i have a Q6600 CPU on LGA 775 over clocked FSB to 1333 and the ghz to 3.0 and i dont notice any bottleneck at all :P

Thanks guys!

i agree i cannot even play in 30fps anymore, once you play at like 120fps constant its hard to switch back :P.
Darkslpsandstuff 1 month ago
@gmxgamer Your PSU will support that but little games support physx so I don't see a gain. But for games that do support physx such as mafia 2 and Batman AC you see a nice boost in performance especially on high physx settings
mazhar977 1 month ago
With gtx560ti you should be getting a lot more than 40fps with max settings. Is your cpu bottlenecking overall performance?
ElegyForTheMasses 1 month ago
@ElegyForTheMasses yea theres somethin very wrong there

psychoclown420 1 month ago
Whoa. The screenshots in the end were impressing. I'm going to buy a GTX 560 Ti soon. I know, there are already better cards on the market, but it's the best I can afford.
ShikogoFox 2 months ago 16
@ShikogoFox lol gtx 570 580 and 590 are the only stocks graphi cards better than gtx 560 ti
and you will be AMAZED with the power that this card give to you compared by the price
if you overclock it and if you have a good coolin system you will bring this gtx to the power of a 570 or even to a gtx 580 , i have 4 independent fans and i brought my gtx to 1.1 ghz to the core clock and 2335 to memory clock addin only 1.5v to the vcore and only go to 80c celsius under very full load
gmxgamer 2 months ago
@gmxgamer lol.. not a 580.. and there are a few more cards better than 560 ti... like 6950 6970 and 6990 also the new single gpu king.. 7970...

mykatamari 1 month ago
@ShikogoFox Get a 550ti if your worried about price. It isn't that much of a difference from the 560ti. If possible sli 550tis, its like a gtx580.
