I wanna play this game but I have no idea how to read jap! >,< is there an english version anywhere for PC or something else? :S or the dreamcast? <3 ty
i dont like real card games, but i will take a chance with this, is nicely desinged... i just have a question, what kind of data appears on the visual memory cards when in-game time? in case is something remarcable, u think this is usefull? for example qhen u play sonic shuffle without VMUs, the is not so good like with ur cards data just for u on ur VMU. and finally, this support 4 players game?
mikewienerNV, you are an idiot. culdcept was originally on dreamcast, it was remade for PS2, with some new chards added. for instance, zeneth only uses cards from the original version, where other characters use all newer cards in the ps2 version, and now there is an x-box 360 sequel called culdcept sagas...i almost beat this ps2 version, i got all cards except 2 "e" cards and only need 10 more medals out of 50
This is on the PS2. I worked on this game and this is the pre-localization version (noticed the non-English cards). The voice-overs were redone, but it never came out for the Dreamcast. What it lacks in graphics (and it really does) it made up for in some of the most addicting gameplay you'll ever see. You can pick it up on eBay but be warned...once you start playing Culdcept on PS2, you won't stop. :)
Never came out on the Dreamcast eh? Maybe not in the US, but i have the damn JP version sitting on my shelf and can provide pics as proof. Worked on the game, I'm SO sure.
You're so sure? Okay smart guy, go look at the credits for the PS2 version under Quality Assurance. Yeah, apology accepted. And you stand corrected. It never came out for Dreamcast US. Again, apology accepted.
You originally stated it NEVER came out for the DC.The DC game is exactly the same as the US PS2 release. The PS2 JP Game is "Culdcept II Expansion" And there is NO difference in the voice over work between the PS2 and DC Versions, only difference is that addition of a few new cards for the Expansion game, and new boards. Quality Assurance? You must have done a great job considering how poorly translated the majority of the cards are in the PS2 US Release.

Interesting. Definitely a genre Dreamcast lacks, but I probably couldn't get past the language barrier.
