The KSC was awesome if the Devils were winning. The noise was deafening - the crowd sat on wooden terrace benches & used their feet to Queen's 'We Will Rock You'. It was a feared place. As the vid shows the crowd was inches from the edge of the court. Once a sweaty Wayne Burdon ended up on my lap. After games the Devils happily mingled with the public at a night-club in Hobart called Maloneys. I spent 1 night shooting tequila slammers with Paul Stanley to 4am after one game - he was from Texas..
@tqsuited - Yes it was pretty ugly, but the reason for that was, that the Kingborough Sports Centre was a multi-purpose facility opened to the public during the week. In fact it was in use on most other days/nights when NBL matches weren't on. It had a cap of 2,167 but that was deemed too full so it was cut back to 1,800 in it's final year. They moved up to Hobart (Glenorchy) at the new DEC in 1989, crowds were up & down, better facility but they never performed well there generally.

Great Old NBL Footage.
Good to see the Devils vs Newcastle Falcons up 1st. I think this is around 1987.
