If Reagan ran in 1992/1996, Bill Clinton would have been broken, I mean litterally broken. Bill Clinton doesn't have wits, all he has are looks. Reagan has wits, experience, and good counter-arguments to Liberal talking points.
Prophetic speech. Virtually everything he outlined as the wrong choices are the choices we are now speedily advancing.
A rendezvous with destiny. We surely have one now. Projections of a 20 TRILLION debt by the end of next year. 20 Trillion. This administration - in just 7 months - has increased our debt by 25%... and they will DOUBLE it again in another year.
Who on EARTH can't see the eventual result? Who can't see what we are marching toward?
No matter which side of the political divide one stand, only if someone is as ARTICULATE as Ronald Reagan and has as COHERENT a vision should someone from show business dip a foot into politics--which rules out
1 Matt Damon
2 Wanda Sykes
3 John Cusack
... the list goes on.
Otherwise, they end up sticking their foots in their own--and each other's--mouths even worse than GW Bush did. (And who would have thought that was possible.)
In 2004, when Reagan died, was when America begun losing its way. Bush carried on little of the Reagan traditions. But not enough of it to ensure a 3rd Republican win in 2008 for John McCain. Right now I wish Bill Clinton was never our president.....and I wish voters in 08 made a wiser decision.
The Government isn't The Solution,The Government Is The Problem.
Rest Easy Ronald. :')

Ronald Reagan: A Time for Snoozing.
Republicans have spent the last 20 years and millions of dollars trying to spin Reagan as some kinda saint instead of the evil bastard that he was.

Those who would choose to give up a little bit of liberty in the cause of peace deserve neither.
WOW. What a man. How did it take the Republicans another 16 years to figure it out about him?
