  • "I'm not an octopus and only have 2 arms!" :)

  • I work at Chilis. This is my living nightmare and I live it every day.

  • You NAILED it... I use to work at Chili's for 4 years... you NAILED it! Can't stop laughing! PERFECT!!!

  • The way you handle separate checks for large parties is right when you greet them ask them if it will be one big check or separate checks. I know it doesn't help if they change their minds, but if they know it will all be separate at the beginning, it can be controlled by the server rather than relying on customers to find this out.

  • eat shit @amiga2091

  • Fuck Chilis! I was in a Chilis one day with a friend of mine. She and I were only there and there was only four other customers there. It took 15 minutes for us to get a waiter/waitress after we were seated and HAD to ask for one! LAZY ASS PEOPLE WORK THERE! Then they finally give us the check when we were going to ask for dessert! Can you say rush the customer out? Thank God for Applebees!

  • @amiga2091 so let me ask you amiga, what time did you come into the restaurant? Was it right before they closed? Did you and your guest come in and act rude towards the host and the other people that worked there? Did you end up leaving your server at least 18%? It doesn't matter if it was Chilis, Applebees, Carrabas or Outback you would have gotten treated exactly the same. This video is dedicated to you!

  • @lookitsjoanna311 Very good questions! so irritating when people come in right before we close and want EVERYTHING and all i wanted to do was go home, but then they order a Well-done steak, and for dessert they have to order something that you have to cook and just waist even more time.

  • @lookitsjoanna311 I was there three hours before it closed. It was DEAD! We weren't rude or anything. The staff just acted like they could give a shit. Why the fuck would I leave my server 18% when they did a shitty job?

  • @amiga2091 Of course you don't think you're being rude. And clearly you've never worked in a restaurant if you're asking why you shouldn't give a 18% tip.

  • @amiga2091 Yes, I agree. The entire restaurant chain is horrible because you and your friend were slightly inconvenienced that one time.

  • im a server at chilis, and this is what i put up with every single day

  • I work at chili's, and this is spot on.

  • I serve ppl like this a lot....lol...i dont think like that but sometimes i can get irritating.

  • I don't work at chilis but I'm a cook at another restaurant and this shit happens there too. I hate when customers don't read the description of the item and then be like "oh I didn't know it had this on it" then we have to remake it and it pisses me off!

  • Worked at Chili's for a year, worst management ever. Video is true though, especially with the mango tea hahaha

  • hell i am a server at chilis these videos are freakin awesome!!

  • I love the octopus line!! So true!!! I will have both hands full of shit and it never fails, someone will point out that I dont have "everything" and I will surely say, "well, I left my 3rd arm at home tonight, so you're gonna have to wait 30 more seconds"

  • i bartend and i love these videos , they feel like therapy lol

  • Ive been working at Chilis for 4 YEARS. Thank you so much for reminding me that its not just me dealing with this crap, its great to come home and laugh out all the frustration!!!!! Love these videos, and to all of you that have no idea what they're talking about its probably because you are that moron that comes in just to make our lives hell so P.S GO FUCK YOURSELF

  • the part about singing for birthdays was spot on and hilarious

  • "i want my steak to be well done. i do not want to see any pink in my steak but make sure it is not dry." "that is impossible but i will say yes so i can go get you your steak and get 5 seconds of fucking peace."

  • My mother is a waitress at Chilis. She showed me this video and told me she puts up with customers like this every single day.

  • @Willamette53594 lol yea it literally is like this, people are so stupid

  • @lookitsjoanna311 Yeah, it's a real shame how picky, needy, and whiny people have become.

  • @lookitsjoanna311 Word for word, This happens atleast once every day.

  • "I will go and tell the cooks to change the laws of physics so your steak will cook faster" XDDDDDDD

  • ...and clapping as we slowly die inside. LMFAO brilliant

  • Damn only been working here 3 months and this video runs

Through my mind everytime someone is stupid

  • @foodserver53 you seem like a self righteous prick, who's also a drunk. that is all.

  • This is brilliant and completely accurate!

There should be a law that requires people who are illiterate to state it upon entering any food establishment. Idiots who can't/won't take the time to read a "Wait to be seated" sign or the description of the food that they order from the menu should not be entitled to eat in restaurants.

  • @kipperfeast "Here's your sign" lol..remember that when it was popular?

  • hahahahaha that's literally what would go through my head as I dealt with stupid customers!!!! fuckin Chilis man...

  • You can pull a nun out of a nunnery house, put her in a restaurant, and she'll turn into douchenozzle bitch from hell. It's just the nature of the business, and the culture of the US. If someone here gets served/waited on in any way, they suddenly take on the persona of being someone more important than they really are, when they're really low self-esteem, wage-slave scumbags like the rest of us.

  • ok i just want u that i absolutely love these videos they r so dead on about the retards i wait on! U did forget to mention that their was food all over the floor from the kids who obviously have been raised by wolves. Who u know damn well don't act or eat like that at home because their parents would beat their asses.

  • This is fairly accurate of most moderately priced chain restaurants like chilis and Olive Garden, I really wish I could say what I think to "guests" the way the server character does in the video! However, the video forgot to mention the "guest" saying the party was not in a hurry, then at the end of the meal when eight guests want separate checks and change they send four servers to look for you because they want to leave NOW.

  • I need to know who is making these videos!!! Brings back all my old server memories!

  • This is not for all customers but it does apply to alot

  • Look you people need to pay attention to this alittle closer. its not for all customers but it does apply to some! You come in and sit your self when there is a sign that clearly says WAIT TO BE SEATED you come in and sit in a closed section which means there is zero servers in that area and then get mad at us...WAIT TO BE SEATED! The 5 min talking deal has nothig to do with the customer it has to do with the job. We are required to say 10 specific things to you so we dont lose or job.

  • I love this video!!! I work at Chili's and I think this is right on!!!!!

  • I cannot change the laws of physics, Captain.

Dammit Jim, I'm a Doctor not an octopus!

  • Ugh. Honestly I could continue my rant here for hours about how moronic you sound trying to defend customers who deserve to choke on their homemade lemonade, but just like trying to pacify difficult customers, it’s pointless. The only thing left I want to say is: These customers of whom I speak daily prove their lack of intelligence by breaking the cardinal rule… DON'T F*** WITH THOSE WHO HANDLE YOUR FOOD! Period.

  • @pleasantchance If you think it 's appropriate2speak lightly of altering people's food much less the serious toneUtake. Ushould clearly NOT Bin the business. I'd likeU2quote my remarks that "defend cust. unless you think the remark "all customers are stupid, that's the nature of retail" is a "defense". What I have said is that as a pro.& in your case I use the term loosely, U should focus on what U can do to minimize the impact of these folks on your other cust. U do like SOME of them don't U?

  • We work for 2.13 an hour and pray that our sections will not be filled with these dead-end tables. Also, 99% of server didn't tell their mommy and daddy, "When I grow up, I wanna be a server!" NO! 99% of us are working these shit jobs to pay for our college degrees, or because our primary jobs aren't enough, or because it was the only place in this total crap economy that was hiring!

  • @pleasantchance Life is tough honey and I don't have all the answers but unless your parole officer insists you work in the business, surely you have other options. Blaming everyone and everything but yourself is going to guarantee you a life of frustration and unhappiness and I do know one secret I'll share with you. Some things actually R your fault. I know this is hard for you to believe since you've got your "other people are stupid" groove on but it's true. Hope U figure it out someday...

  • If you really are a server, which at this point I highly doubt, you should KNOW corporate dictates everything right down to what is on the table top upon arrival. Servers are truly the modern day slaves in America. We deal with attitudes and comments that those same people who are the dreaded customer would never give or share with and other human being they knew, much less don’t know.

  • @pleasantchance I didn't work for a lot of corporations. Believe me, I have a lot of problems with the industry but most of mine were focused on RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT! Yes, I understand the house decides what condiments are on your tables but if U spent more time paying attention 2 what cust. were asking for with your menu items and then USING that info. to ASK if a particular cust. WANTS that condiment &LESS time point out how stupid THEY R(oh the irony) U might be better off.

  • They come in hostel because their family or work sucks, and the server becomes their verbally assaulted punching bag! They treat servers more like dogs and expect tricks; or, a machine that should provide a free service. Those ARE NOT faults of the server NOR are or should they be the server's responsibility. How dare you suggest that servers are the "challenged" party!

  • You're missing the point just like the customers who miss the description about their entree on the menu. Customers are "stupid" for believing they know the restaurant better than the severs hired and trained to work there. They demand things and get angry at their own mistakes and take it out on servers they’ve only meet 15 minutes prior...

  • @pleasantchance the seven eleven still has the graveyard shift opening. Maybe you could work there. It would be much less stressful. Of course it doesn't pay nearly as well but...PS. IF you ever find an extremely well paying job that is easy and has no stress, please contact me. I'd love to hear about it.

  • @foodserver53 I first want you to understand I made an account just so I could tell you how much you are like the terrible customers these videos portray, and also that this will be several posts long I’m sure...

  • @pleasantchance actually, I hope you look for my name on these videos. I've yet to read about something I haven't personally experienced and when I can I offer some constructive suggestions about how to deal with some of them.Ucan accept them or reject them, or maybe even use your own brain to figure something out on your own. What is hilarious to me is listening to you bitch about something that's happens all the time and U do nothing(!) 2 deal with something U already KNOW is going to happen

  • @pleasantchance IF focusing on me helpsU2deal with your pain go ahead.I'm posting my comments because I care about the trade and the people who practice it. There are thingsUcando2cope with some of your problems and some solutions involve improving your skills soUcan work@a better place. What I hope you someday realize is that even if you can "prove" to your satisfaction that some bad thing is someone elses' fault, at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter. What U do, does...good luck...

  • @foodserver53 I think proof of my superior intelligence would be knowing how to comment using proper grammar and spelling. I don't understand why YOU ARE watching a a video that was made for the sole purpose of making other people in this profession laugh. The customers that act like asinine fools and really say things like this to other human beings deserve all the ridicule that is brought onto them.

  • @lookitsjoanna311 Ironic for U 2 B using the word "profession" in any para. describing yur attitude. I'm all for these types of videos because I think they have potential for being constructive. U blaming the customer because U don't have condiments on the table is CLASSIC. Anyone in our profession who missed that needs to look inward. If you want to use humor to make the world a better place, I'd suggest you look at the loser in the mirror. Customers R "stupid" that's the nature of retail...

  • @lookitsjoanna311 says, "I think proof of my superior intelligence would be knowing how to comment using proper grammar and spelling."

Hey genius, there is a character limit on these posts. When someone writes "U" "R" instead of "you are", it's not because they aren't as smart as you. I'm starting to C how U figure you're so much smarter than everyone else. (roll eyes)

  • @foodserver53 I never said I think I am superior to everyone else, only to you. I am not trying to be constructive, I am trying to be funny. I could care less what you think. I made this video as a joke, I am sorry that you don't find it funny. That is your loss and there is an easy remedy for this, don't watch it anymore. Do you want to call Steven Spielberg and tell him Jurassic Park was stupid because there aren't any dinosaurs in real life?

  • @lookitsjoanna311 "I am not trying to be constructive, I know.Nor, I'm pretty sure, do you have any interest in improving YOURSELF at all. Everything is about "those other stupid people".If I had a way to KNOW i'd hear the truth, I'd bet the rent money that your "bachelor's degree" is towards being a public school teacher. The classic refuge for mediocrity. Then the parents of your students will take the place of the customers in the restaurant as the "stupid people" whose fault everything is.

  • @foodserver53 For the record I have a bachelors degree along with almost every other server I work with except for the ones still in college. We are hard working people who put time into school and are trying to transition into a real job while the job market for professionals is rather thin so any remark you make about my "intel" is rather absurd. It's hard to deal with trash and stupidity at work, that is why you go home and watch a video like this to laugh and remember life can be funny too.

  • @lookitsjoanna311Joanna, I can appreciate the desire2laugh about things at work and I should have tried to be more constructive than starting a flame war with you but when YOU or anyone STARTS out calling other people "stupid" I think YOU should have your ducks in a row. Your problem with condiments suggests to me that you don't.The fact that you are unwilling to concede that there is ANYTHING you could do to improve your situation suggests to me an attitude problem. 4 your own sake re-examine

  • @foodserver53 people who seat themselves are schmucks, people who order well done steaks are schmucks. I've never been a server but in general, dealing with customers is ridiculously annoying. In sales we have a term called High gross, low grief

  • @bootypicture I agree these behaviors usually indicate a below average tip.

  • @foodserver53 I understand your frustration BUT UNTILL you work in this feild you will not have the slightest clue at how frustrating this is!!!!!!!!!! no not everything is the customers fault but that is not what they are pointing out here!!!!!!!!!!

  • Respond to this video... I give you props for this video!! very funny and a good laugh!! and just remember the people who comment badly on this video are ones who have not worked as a server or in the food buisness!!!

  • @caitlincrazypants Agreed!!

  • this is funny, so true
