The girl at 1:27 couldn't have been in the 2008 Olympics anyway because she would'e been too young! If she was 10 in 2003 than that would mean she'd only be 15 in 2008! Just saying...
@celebfan09 WTF are you talking about? There were lots of 15 year old gymnasts legally competing in the 2008 Olympics. Stop being ignorant and read the rulebook.
@bikerOGX Why don't YOU read the rulebook... it clearly says "currently, as per the 1997 regulation, gymnasts must be at least 16 years of age, or turning 16 within the calendar year, to compete in senior-level events.."
@celebfan09 Did you understand the part where it says "or turning 16 within the calendar year"????? I mean, if you're going to criticize others for not following the rules, maybe you should f**king understand the rules first, dumbass.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
clearly this is the chinese government's assassin training program covertly masquerading as a 'gym'. by 2012 these kids will be the worlds most sophisticated trained killers.
about all their ages, in china and i think in a few other places, when your born your considered 1 year, or 9 months, one or the other. so their really about a year younger that they say.
@Jarileigh CUT THE SHIT!!! Like really? You keep going on and on about how people are phyco and need mental help... But quite frankly YOUR the one that needs help and is phyco, so just stop trying to fight with everyone and grow up. Thank you have a nice day buh bye
@kkwuzhere1 You obviously haven't been around hearing the crazy things this guy has said, he argued with someone else for a HOUR! And he's never even been in a gym, Chinese, American, or otherwise. You don't have the whole story, I had to shut him up, he was harrassing everyone, and I have shut him up, he's reduced to making comments about a T-shirt, I knew he would change the subject if I called him out, and it worked, I'm sorry that you had to come across that!
"A type of mid-life crisis where persons over the age of 18, but usually in their mid-20s to early-30s, start to freak out that they are aging and not getting any younger, so they compensate by wearing Hollister Co. clothing. Bear in mind that Hollister Co., by the company's own definition, sells apparel targeted to the 14 to 18 year old age demographic."
"So when you see that creepy 27 year old guy walking in the mall wearing a Hollister Co. t-shirt, try not to laugh too hard. He's just having a Hollister Life Crisis."
You continue to argue with everyone like you know what you are talking about, yet you won't even say what your background is! Since you continue to change the subject & insult me, obviously you have NO BACKGROUND IN THIS SPORT! You are looking up Kristie's quotes & posting them, I already know the answer because I lived & trained with her, did the same skills as her, & I told you why I quit the sport & proved why, you called me a quitter. You are WRONG, either apologize or SHUT UP!
@jarileigh Hey, I forgot to mention, if you like wearing kids clothing, you should checkout my line. The Nastia Liukin Supergirl collection consists of cute, affordable, quality fashion for young girls (and I suppose, you too) available at fine JCPenneys stores everywhere.
BIKER Before you get that mental health help you so desperately need, don't you think it's a bit ironic that you are on here saying how the Chinese gymnastics ethics are so positive, and all American gymnasts are fat & lazy (sweeping generalizations that inherently incorrect!)...you might want to look in the mirror...are you sure you like what you see? Maybe YOU are the one who is fat & lazy, so you have become obsessed with the race & sport with the least body fat on the planet!
If you knew anything about a real gym, you would know that ALL top coaches have big egos, if you embarrass them, you better hide, & they ALL act totally different once the camera's are off! I have tons of photos of me & Kristie, but I'm probably not wearing the right shirt, LOL,Did you ever notice you have a problem arguing with yourself? I TOLD you how Kristie felt, then you say the EXACT same thing ...but arguing with me like I didn't say it! I think you should seek mental health help.
@jarileigh Yeah, you keep telling me how much you've accomplished in your life, yet I've never even heard of you. Your only claim to fame seems to be as some crazy woman who keeps posting rambling nonsensical comments. I'm glad you agree with me about what Kristie Phillips said, but other than that, I have no idea what point you are trying to make. By all means, please continue to enjoy wearing kids clothing. Wear your daughter's Hello Kitty underwear & Justin Bieber socks for all I care.
@bikerOGX The point is, you are saying all American gymnasts are fat & lazy, & that is as fundamentally untrue as the fact that ALL Chinese have the best training methods in the world. But the question you CONTINUE TO AVOID is ...what makes YOU an authority on the subject, (you've written pages)? Are you a gymnast, coach, (clearly not), a rabid psycho-parent, a fan? If you argue for pages, you should have SOME background, unless you just read about it, clearly YOU WON'T SAY so it can't be good!
@bikerOGX No, I said I accomplished more than you by age 15 in response to you calling me lazy. Which you haven't denied! Gymnastics has been my life, so I have some knowledge of the sport, which you clearly do not, especially since I'VE ASKED YOU REPEATEDLY HOW YOU KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT GYMNASTICS and all you can answer is a VERY lame attempt to change the subject. I hope you've learned your lesson. Don't argue about things u know nothing about, it makes you look dumb!!!!!
@bikerOGX You apparently are so lame, you so obviously know NOTHING ABOUT GYMNASTICS! I lived & trained with Kristie, & coached Carly Patterson & her Mom was married to my Uncle, so I've known her since I was a kid, but you don't have a SINGLE ANSWER to my questions, or questions for me, you just make childish remarks that have nothing to do with GYMNASTICS, try to change the subject to silly things, which isn't surprising because that's what people do when they have LOST THE ARGUMENT! LOL
@bikerOGX My claim to fame is that I KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT GYMNASTICS! And your claim to fame is that you so obviously know NOTHING ABOUT GYMNASTICS, that you do what everyone does when they are dead WRONG, you change the subject to FASHION? I hope you've learned your lesson, don't argue about things you KNOW NOTHING ABOUT! I'm sorry you have trouble following me, I will simplify, because I lived/trained with Kristie Phillips & coached Carly Patterson, it means I know something about gymnastics.
I don't know how someone can throw on their daughters T-shirt and offend someone, but my apologies. I think you just don't want to admit that you are a loser & have accomplished absolutely nothing, & you are bitter because you suck at gymnastics! I can probably do more at MY age than you can! I rarely name drop & hate to do it, but it's wrong to call me lazy, etc & other such names when you haven't the slightest idea who I am!!!! No one will EVER ask for YOUR autograph..who's the loser?
@bikerOGX i know i mean im a gymnast but im one of the few that are tall so in the gym it looks like there are little girls around me when they are actually my age.
@xxangierulzxx My daughter was watching the Pan American games with me. She was upset that Chuso got hurt on balance beam. I told her, "That's not Chuso. Chuso only does vault. That's Bridget Sloan. Bridget looks old like Chuso, but she's actually only 19." My daughter couldn't believe it.
Carly's Mom didn't want her in gymnastics. Carly went to a B-day party at a gymnastics facility & Johnny (my friend & owner of the gym) saw her & he couldn't believe she had never taken, but I knew Natalie (OLDER than me, LOL) was a gymnast & Carly's Father was extremely athletic, so I wasn't that surprised. I convinced Natalie Johnny was a much better coach than she had, & if Carly didn't like it, she could always take her out, & the rest is history! Literally!
I'm still waiting to hear your resume, not holding my breath, LOL! And you change the subject with a pathetic attempt to call me old, & for throwing on my daughter-in-law's Hollister shirt? I trained with Kristie & Lucy Wener (made the Olympic team), coached Carly Patterson, have owned my own gymnastics facility & am a gym choroegrapher & "troubleshooter" for girls stuck on skills, etc. BTW, I've known Carly's Mom since I was a kid, she was in my 1st gym & was married to my Uncle,
That being said, I'm pretty sure I had accomplished more by the time I was 15 than you have in your entire life! I don't think you've ever spent a single day in a gym! You are a complete idiot, ALL top coaches have HUGE egos, & if you embarrass them, you better hide! If you had any background in gymnastics at all, you would know that. MOST top coaches ride their gymnasts about weight. I trained with a 3 time Olympic coach, who did you train with? I taught Carly Patterson, who have you trained?
WTF? Turns out the owner of the ArtSports World gym, in which Doug Boger, a banned former U.S. national gymnastics coach was working, is himself a convicted sex offender. Michael Zapp was convicted of second-degree sex abuse in Oregon in 1987 for touching a 12-year-old gymnast's breasts. Zapp was not required to register as a sex offender because the database did not exist at the time.
A former U.S. national gymnastics coach has been fired by a Colorado Springs gym after revelations by the Orange County Register that he was banned by the sport's governing body over allegations of physical and sexual abuse of underage female gymnasts. Doug Boger, 62, was dismissed by ArtSports World, a Colorado Springs gym, amid mounting concerns by parents and gym employees about the safety of children around Boger.
buset! china udah nyiapin "pasukan" untuk olimpiade-nya sejak mereka anak2. oke deh, indonesia juga nyiapin "pasukan" untuk fifa-nya sejak anak2 juga. hahahaha.
Shawsomething: Do you read Chinese? Or are all your "information" and "evidences" from those frentic anti-Chinese racist media? Don't you realize you've been so thoroughly brainwashed from very young age? A good suggeestion to you: If you really really care about Chinese or Russians, learn some basic Chinese/Russian and then come back to give your opinions about Chinese/Russian training. You've been acting so ignorant and stupid.

@russiangymfan There's a thing called Google translate my friend. Once again, you try to look noble by making idiotic assumptions. Where are you getting that I'm anti-Chinese? A good suggestion to you: You don't need to speak Chinese to recognize that this video /watch?v=8YC5dkBVaxI is full of abuse. Yet again, you completely contradict yourself by saying I'm stupid and ignorant while you call me a bully for calling you a moron. That's pathetic. Did you forget you insulted me first? Haha, funny!

shawnVika..:This is exactly what a true moron and bully does: when he/she cannot present convincing arguments, he/she starts to call others names! All labesl you've used to bash others can be perfectly described you. You're a big moron and bully who is extremely culturally biased, perhaps a racist, possesses cold war mentality, loves to make enemies, is a war monger, severely brainwashed by anti-chinese racist media, a coward who refuses to accept facts.
@russiangymfan Haha, nice try. "What a big idiot and an extremely biased person you are" you said that before I called you a moron so who is the "bully" now? That comment was quite ironic. You're insulting me because you cannot face the facts. Want to face more? You are so quick to say that the US is whiney even though USA Gymnastics never filed an official complaint about He Kexin's age. The people of China were even posting on message boards that He was 14. Nice try, yet again.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 He Kexin again? Of course, you realize that even the people who found the online "evidence" against He Kexin admit that if her age was altered, it was most likely altered to make her younger, not older, to qualify for the Intercity games. Occam's razor indicates this to be the most likely scenario, but it doesn't benefit the U.S. at all. That's why some whiny-ass Americans still go for the crazy conspiracy cover-up theory in an attempt to grub for more gold.
@bikerOGX It's definately not in an attempt to "grub for more gold". It's because these athletes train their entire lives for this one moment and don't deserve to have it taken from them because of a cheater. Why would they alter her age to be younger for the Intercity Games and risk a misunderstanding and disqualification in a bigger event, the Olympics?
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Oh please, Americans are always grubbing for more gold. Did you know Marion Jones' teammates sued the IOC last year and actually won back their 2000 team relay gold medals? Talk about crazy. Couldn't Dong Fangxiao's teammates follow the same precedent then and win back their 2000 bronzes? I think it would be absolutely hilarious if another special ceremony had to be held at next years U.S. championships to give back the U.S. bronzes.
@bikerOGX I do know that. But that's so stereotypical. I'm not saying all Chinese gymnasts are underaged, am I? I'd much rather have had the Chinese team win gold in 08 than the American team if they had gymnasts of age. It is my own opinion that He was the only one under the limit.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Meh...saying Americans are medal grubbers doesn't seem any more stereotypical than, say, someone else saying that the Chinese beat their gymnasts. What comes around goes around.
@bikerOGX I guess you could put it that way. But that is my mistake. I do not mean to say "the Chinese coaches", as in all of them, beat their gymnasts. I'm not quite sure which coaches are which in those videos (The Red Race), but I clearly see a few coaches beating their gymnasts.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Yeah well, clearly a few U.S. coaches have molested their students too. I guess it just depends on how fair you want to be in the selection of which coaches are representative of the whole system.
@bikerOGX Continued. I read that article on Intlgymnast and they will most definately be permanently banned. On the other hand, do you think the coaches in the Red Race video have been banned? Also, there's proof of the Chinese being beaten. I don't think the coaches made sex tapes, however, I don't question that they did molest the girls and I certainly do not question the idea of them going to jail (even if it is 30 years later).
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Well, that point is moot because what the American coaches did couldn't even be shown on YouTube. The existence of such a video would be a felony. So you tell me which is worst.
@bikerOGX Of course the other is worse. This is what you weren't answering to me earlier when I said which is worse about Valeri not allowing water or kicking, pushing, and forcing girls to do casts until their hands bleed.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Have you ever been inside a gym? Most gymnasts I know have gotten rips on their hands at one time or another. A gymnast with bleeding hands isn't exactly the most unusual thing in the world. Eventually the skin gets tougher the more you train. Have you seen Huang Huidan on UB? It's incredible. The girl does her routine WITHOUT grips.
@bikerOGX Of course all gymnasts get rips (even some 5 year olds), but the bar was covered in blood from where her hands where. I would say that's a bit worse. I have seen Huang Huidan. She's one of my all-time favs on bars for China. Still, forcing an 8 year old girl to do cast handstands until her hands bleed is what I would consider abuse. And if that's your theory about He, then how come they would even change her birthplace in the first place?
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Well, if you agree that all gymnasts get rips, then I'm sure that sometimes, blood does get on the equipment. Occupational hazard. It's not like the blood was a result of the coach beating her, as in the case of Karolyi with the Romanian gymnasts. Rodica Dunca said, "On certain days we were hit until blood was pouring out our nose. You can say it was a concentration camp."
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Oh, it's not MY theory about He Kexin. It's what the people who found the original Internet documents eventually admitted. When you realize that He Kexin competed for the Wuhan team in the Intercity games, everything else follows. A '92 Beijing born He Kexin is useless to the Wuhan team. However, a '94 Hubei born He Kexin would kick ass and take names. You see, the Intercity games has a MAXIMUM age limit and Wuhan just happens to be the capital of Hubei province...
@bikerOGX I never said the blood on the bars was because of being beaten. But that's abuse. No hand with rips bleed that much. And the video includes a coach kicking a child too. And if that is the truth, then why would they go through all that just so He could compete at the Intercity games with younger gymnasts if she were already so much better? There's not much experience to gain there.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Oh, I didn't say you did. It's just that whenever someone talks about gymnast abuse, I just can't help throwing out some fun facts about Bela Karolyi. Like, for instance, Melita Ruhn, Nadia Comaneci's teammate, said Bela Karolyi once removed the cast from her broken leg during a competition and made her perform vault. Afterward, he replaced the cast. The fun fact is that she scored a perfect 10.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Hmmmm...very confusing...you seem to be saying that the younger gymnasts at the Intercity games would pose no serious challenge to an older He Kexin. Aren't Americans always whining about how the Chinese had an advantage because they were supposedly younger? Are you now saying that was all bullshit?
@bikerOGX Haha, she was terrific in 2006. Almost as good as she was in 08. Again, another irrelevant stereotype. Her bars was Olympic material in 2006. What's the point of her competing against girls two years younger and not fully at their peak if she's already much better. What experience does she have to gain from there? For the Karolyi example, I consider that abuse too. But it makes you wonder how broken her leg really was.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 The best Olympic gymnasts in the world couldn't beat a handful Chinese gymnasts who had the supposed advantage of being "underage" in 2008. If this is true, wouldn't having He Kexin compete against literally hundreds of these awesome "underage" Chinese gymnasts at the Intercity games be an even bigger challenge than the Olympics? However, I think you're missing the point about the purpose of competitions. Gaining experience is a byproduct, the main goal is to win.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Yeah, I agree with you about the seriousness of leg injuries often being exaggerated way out of proportion in gymnastics. Marta should call up Rebecca Bross right now and tell her to get off her lazy ass and fly to Tokyo to help the U.S. team. "Miss Brossa, suk eet up, back een Romania, zee gymnasts kompeeted wit noo neecaps!"
@bikerOGX Bross resumes training soon, that's good. Poor girl. And I would agree on what you said about the Intercity games, but the field was pretty weak. What is there to win?
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 If the goal of a competition is to win, would you rather have He Kexin on your team doing bars or not? Somehow I don't see the coach of the Wuhan team saying, "Naaah, let's leave her off, she's too good."
@bikerOGX I see your point, but that's not what I was saying. Why would He feel the need to go through all that trouble and change her age and birthplace just to compete against a weak field?
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Competing against underage Chinese gymnasts is somehow a "weak field" now? What happen to all the American whining about the unfairness of competing against younger and more flexible Chinese gymnasts?
@bikerOGX Nice try. I said the Intercity games is a weak field. That's not really much of a lie. He Kexin easily beats them even in the AA with her wobbly beam set and weak floor routine. And why would she go through all that trouble and change her passport just to compete against girls that don't have a shot of beating her?
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 She didn't change her passport for the Intercity games. Intercity games doesn't require a passport. Everyone is from China. Duh.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Wow, you're kinda slow, aren't you? The Inter"city" games isn't an Inter"national" competition. Do you understand the concept and purpose of a passport? Try rereading my last comment again.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Try again. If you still don't understand, maybe you should have been selected for the U.S. team, cuz all Special Olympic athletes are guaranteed to win a medal just for showing up.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Repeating and understanding are not the same thing. However, I think it's great schools are giving special ed kids like you access to the Internet.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 But the fact is that He Kexin did represent the Wuhan team in the Intercity games. Are you saying she didn't? Look at the links on your very own channel. LOL!
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 A "small meet" according to who? To the Wuhan coach, the Intercity games is the most important meet of his life. "All that trouble" according to who? Coach fills out Intercity games registration form: He Kexin, '94, Hubei. Bamm. Done.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Notice everything that connects He Kexin with the '94 birthdate is linked either to Wuhan or Hubei. Every document that lists the '92 birthdate has her correct birthplace of Beijing. So unless you are saying He Kexin wasn't born in Beijing, of which there's mountains of evidence that she was, it doesn't take a genius to figure out what happened. The birthdate change makes sense in either direction, but the birthplace change only makes sense in one.
@bikerOGX I don't see the sense of yours. The Intercity games is nothing compared to the Olympics. Why would they change her birthplace just to represent Wuhan?
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Would you stop making the same stupid mistake of looking at everything in hindsight? It's like asking why Jordyn Wieber, your favorite gymnast, would waste her time competing in some lame State championship in 2003, when it's obvious NOW how much better she was than everyone else there.
@bikerOGX It's not the same. In 2006, He was about at the same level as she was in 2008. Haha, funny about Wieber. My favorite XD. You keep on avoiding the question. It's evident you have no answer.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Do you understand what hindsight means? Do you think He Kexin has psychic powers? Does she know whether she'll win any given competition before it takes place? Does she then follow your lame-ass logic and choose not to compete at all because she knows she's going to win? Does she not want too many medals cluttering up her room? Does she not want the prize money cuz she's a Notorious B.I.G. fan and knows "mo money mo problems"? Why don't you answer these questions?
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Well, if I had psychic powers and knew which meets I would win or lose, I'd only go to the winning ones. The real question is why you think she wouldn't.
@bikerOGX I'm not avoiding any question. It's you that is doing it. Changing her birthplace on her passport so that she could represent the Wuhan team? Why on earth would she do that just to compete at such a small meet?
@bikerOGX Don't call me names or change the subject, WHAT have you ever done in a gym that makes you qualified to even argue about gymnastics? You sound like a psycho- parent of a gymnast!!!!! I can prove anything I say, so you should be able to as well, so don't lie! You think nothing bad happens in a communist country? That isn't true, bad things happens in EVERY country! Look up the video "Not always happy endings" These kids are from all over the GLOBE! And abuse happens in every country!
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Besides, He Kexin is a gymnast. Her job is to compete in competitions. What's she going to do, say "No thanks coach. I don't feel the need to compete. Gonna stay home tonight and read Jennifer Sey's book on my kindle instead."?
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Regarding He Kexin, never mind the fact that she was cleared 3 years ago. Try re-examining the Internet evidence. What most people do is concentrate on the 1994 birthdate and completely ignore the incorrectly listed birthplace. If you maintain the Internet document to be accurate and say He Kexin's passport and birth certificate were faked later for the purpose of the Olympics, changing the birthdate makes sense, but why alter the birthplace from Hubei to Beijing?
@bikerOGX I won't dismiss the fact that she was cleared 3 years ago. I don't want another Dong Fangxiao 10 years later. And why her birthplace could've been altered to Beijing is beause she would've been cheered for more if she were from Beijing (hometown girl). That would've boosted her confidence. It's not too hard to fake a passport (that's what Karolyi has said), so why not do a bit extra while you change her date of birth.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 That's kinda a weak explanation and you know it. Besides, from what I understand, He Kexin speaks perfect Mandarin. If she was from Hubei, she would speak a different dialect and her Mandarin would have an accent. Her speech would be clearly identifiable to Chinese speakers as, say, an American from the Midwest trying to pass herself off as being from New York.
@bikerOGX It is a bit of a weak explanation, but if I were to change a gymnasts age, I would also go to even more drastic measures to make them feel as comfortable as possible. I don't see the need to change her birthplace and I didn't realize you were so knowledgable about Chinese dialects.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Sure, making He Kexin feel more comfortable is a good thing, but think about it for a moment. By changing her birthplace, you just increased the complexity of the deception one hundred fold. Now you have to fake school records, pay off thousands of people from her "real" hometown to keep their mouths shut, etc. This is exactly what I meant before. Americans would rather choose a crazy complex conspiracy theory to make the facts fit rather than what is simple & obvious.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Asian women tend to appear younger than their actual age that's the reason why there's so many misunderstandings, if USA never filed an official complaint then that means they aren't 100 percent sure and are afraid of being proved wrong, even though the event was held in china background checks on the athletes were done by many countries US included so since US is doubting china's age group, it really shows how much trust they put into their own security.
@hollisterluver1308 If USA Gymnastics never filed an official complaint, it could be that they are happy with their silver and understand that even though He might've been underaged, China was better and deserved the win. That's how I take it and that's how I would respond. I'm from the US, so don't stereotype please. Yes, typically, most Asian women look younger than they really are, but even people in China were saying that He was 14.
@hollisterluver1308 i truly respect that the U.S. had no bad intentions i think they performed great quite honestly i'm just so fed up by their fans who keep pointing fingers at China when they won the game fair and square, they won the game because the team consists of girls who have passionate dreams for the sport and did work hard for their placement today, i just ask that we can just stop the accusations.

...hnn the stuff they were doing in the vid was probably just their warm up routine, but that routine is what 8 year olds are doing in America. You start young because you're most flexible when you're young.
Don Peters, a former U.S. Olympic team coach who guided American gymnastics to some of its most iconic and triumphant moments, could face a lifetime ban from the sport after three women have come forward to accuse him of having sex with young gymnasts in the 1980s. The women say they have come forward after 20 years to expose a culture of exploitation in USA Gymnastics.
this makes me sad. I do gymnastics and i see the older kids with deformed bodies and being forced and yelled at. kids this young should have a choice.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
...things like this always make me think of brain washing maybe i'm just not disciplined enough but good god these children look like they take life too seriously
"I've been actually using logic and theory - unlike you - to explain that what China's doing is wrong"
Do you even have logic? Your so-called "logic" is based on your frentic anti-China biased media. "theory"? What theory do you have used? All your comments fully display what a big idiot and an extremely biased person you are! Chinese coaches treat gymnasts like their own kids while Korolyis are approved child abusers! Chinese gymnasts lives are much better then you bad loser.
@russiangymfan I have nothing biased against the Chinese media. I already told you this. Where exactly are you getting this? You just assume such idiotic and bigoted things that no one else is capable of thinking up! Now, moron, I must direct your attention to this link /watch?v=8YC5dkBVaxI&feature=related. If you don't think that training cast handstands until you bleed isn't abuse, then I don't know what is. This is proof. You have no evidence behind anything you say. I'd say you're the loser.

Hahaha.... What can be more stupid than this?! After badmouthing many biased and silly comments (no logic, no evidence, etc.), this thoroughly brainwashed idiot now self-claims that he/she can "teach" others, this is just too funny! Maybe all his/ter teachers are just like him/her--ignorant, biased, refuse to know a real world, have cold war mentaly, love wars, are loyal consumers of anti-China media and lack mental capability to accept facts.
@russiangymfan I'll tell you what's more stupid than that: you're whole comment that you just left. You've been leaving opinions of me whereas I've been actually using logic and theory - unlike you - to explain that what China's doing is wrong. This does not mean I'm insulting the Chinese media in any way, shape, or form. Where are you getting your crap? A typical gymnastics fangirl throwing accusations.
I think a big difference here is in the fairness of the examples each side uses to make their case. On one side, top U.S. coaches and gymnasts are being mentioned by name in specific examples of abuse. On the other side, what's being used repeatedly is some edited video of some dude in some gym somewhere in China. Well, until the other side acknowledges that she's not playing fair, I'm going to start basing my view of U.S. gymnastics on this video.
@bikerOGX It's hard to learn Chinese names. Let alone ever hear of them. Whereas, in the US, we know the coaches names because we aren't on the opposite side of the earth.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 BTW, did you notice that in the video I chose to represent U.S.A. gymnastics (watch?v=FpmRBg5XlWM), the gymnast seems to have two butts? There's like a "front butt" as well as a "back butt." Are all gymnasts in the U.S. specifically chosen to have this special trait? If so, I think it's a great idea because no matter which way they fall, they're guaranteed to have something big and round to land on.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Exactly! ASac fell recently on FX during VISAs too. Not hurt at all. I'm one to give credit where credit is due. The selection of "double-butted" gymnasts in the U.S. is a stroke of genius!
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 I'm not sure why you're having trouble finding out the names of the Chinese coaches. Here are the names of the entire Chinese WAG delegation traveling with the gymnasts to Tokyo. Kinda strange saying that you have trouble even finding out their names, yet seem to know SO MUCH about their "abusive" training methods. Shanzhen Lu, Xu Jinglei, Liu Guicheng, Xiong Jingbin, Qunce Wang, Wang Liming, Hua He, Shuquing Cui, Ying Cao, Zhao Hui Liu
I actually have heard (From the NBC horror trio believe it or not) that the Chinese way of coaching is quite positive. If the gymnasts fall, they are not berated in any way, and the coaching is more about positive reinforcement, even when coupled with very strict training.
@bernardmvella Yup. Daggett said it right after Gabrielle Douglas had a meltdown on beam during day one of the VISA championships. And now Douglas and Anna Li are on their way to Tokyo after Marta broke Caquatto.
@bikerOGX Yeah, and I've heard people talk about 'abusing the chinese girls', but all the videos and articles seem so subconsciously racist and unconvincing on the analytical and factual side. I've only ever seen Lu Shenzhen act positively towards his gymnasts, but Marta Karolyi, the girls she coordinates look dead scared of her.
@bernardmvella /watch?v=8YC5dkBVaxI&feature=related I wouldn't call this racist... And I definately wouldn't say that the Beijing team was scared of Marta. They always went up to hug her right away (or Valeri or Liang).
Oh it's true. If the rules were followed, ASac shouldn't have been allowed to compete in the 2010 World Championships. Just like Ponor can't even be announced as a nominative member of Romanian team this year before Oct. 1 due to the required six months availability for anti-doping tests. An exception "may" have been made in ASac's case cuz she gives really good BJs according to the FIG committee members.

@jarileigh 3 words: Hollister Life Crisis
"A type of mid-life crisis where persons over the age of 18, but usually in their mid-20s to early-30s, start to freak out that they are aging and not getting any younger, so they compensate by wearing Hollister Co. clothing. Bear in mind that Hollister Co., by the company's own definition, sells apparel targeted to the 14 to 18 year old age demographic."

I TOLD you how Kristie felt, then you say the EXACT same thing ...but arguing with me like I didn't say it! I think you should seek mental health help.

@jarileigh Yeah, you keep telling me how much you've accomplished in your life, yet I've never even heard of you. bikerOGX 3 months ago

LOL
jarileigh 3 months ago
@bikerOGX My claim to fame is that I KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT GYMNASTICS! Zapp was not required to register as a sex offender because the database did not exist at the time.

russiangymfan 4 months ago
@russiangymfan Haha, nice try. "What a big idiot and an extremely biased person you are" you said that before I called you a moron so who is the "bully" now? That comment was quite ironic. You're insulting me because you cannot face the facts. Want to face more? You are so quick to say that the US is whiney even though USA Gymnastics never filed an official complaint about He Kexin's age. The people of China were even posting on message boards that He was 14. Nice try, yet again.
ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 He Kexin again? Of course, you realize that even the people who found the online "evidence" against He Kexin admit that if her age was altered, it was most likely altered to make her younger, not older, to qualify for the Intercity games. Occam's razor indicates this to be the most likely scenario, but it doesn't benefit the U.S. at all. That's why some whiny-ass Americans still go for the crazy conspiracy cover-up theory in an attempt to grub for more gold.
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@bikerOGX It's definately not in an attempt to "grub for more gold". It's because these athletes train their entire lives for this one moment and don't deserve to have it taken from them because of a cheater. Why would they alter her age to be younger for the Intercity Games and risk a misunderstanding and disqualification in a bigger event, the Olympics?
ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Oh please, Americans are always grubbing for more gold. Did you know Marion Jones' teammates sued the IOC last year and actually won back their 2000 team relay gold medals? Talk about crazy. Couldn't Dong Fangxiao's teammates follow the same precedent then and win back their 2000 bronzes? I think it would be absolutely hilarious if another special ceremony had to be held at next years U.S. championships to give back the U.S. bronzes.
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@bikerOGX CONT. I do know that. Still, it's not nice to stereotype. That's like me saying all of the Chinese gymnasts are underaged.
ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@bikerOGX I do know that. But that's so stereotypical. I'm not saying all Chinese gymnasts are underaged, am I? I'd much rather have had the Chinese team win gold in 08 than the American team if they had gymnasts of age. It is my own opinion that He was the only one under the limit.
ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Meh...saying Americans are medal grubbers doesn't seem any more stereotypical than, say, someone else saying that the Chinese beat their gymnasts. What comes around goes around.
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@bikerOGX I guess you could put it that way. But that is my mistake. I do not mean to say "the Chinese coaches", as in all of them, beat their gymnasts. I'm not quite sure which coaches are which in those videos (The Red Race), but I clearly see a few coaches beating their gymnasts.
ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Yeah well, clearly a few U.S. coaches have molested their students too. I guess it just depends on how fair you want to be in the selection of which coaches are representative of the whole system.
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@bikerOGX Continued. I read that article on Intlgymnast and they will most definately be permanently banned. On the other hand, do you think the coaches in the Red Race video have been banned? Also, there's proof of the Chinese being beaten. I don't think the coaches made sex tapes, however, I don't question that they did molest the girls and I certainly do not question the idea of them going to jail (even if it is 30 years later).
ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Well, that point is moot because what the American coaches did couldn't even be shown on YouTube. The existence of such a video would be a felony. So you tell me which is worst.
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@bikerOGX Of course the other is worse. This is what you weren't answering to me earlier when I said which is worse about Valeri not allowing water or kicking, pushing, and forcing girls to do casts until their hands bleed.
ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Have you ever been inside a gym? Most gymnasts I know have gotten rips on their hands at one time or another. A gymnast with bleeding hands isn't exactly the most unusual thing in the world. Eventually the skin gets tougher the more you train. Have you seen Huang Huidan on UB? It's incredible. The girl does her routine WITHOUT grips.
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@bikerOGX Of course all gymnasts get rips (even some 5 year olds), but the bar was covered in blood from where her hands where. I would say that's a bit worse. I have seen Huang Huidan. She's one of my all-time favs on bars for China. Still, forcing an 8 year old girl to do cast handstands until her hands bleed is what I would consider abuse. And if that's your theory about He, then how come they would even change her birthplace in the first place?
ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Well, if you agree that all gymnasts get rips, then I'm sure that sometimes, blood does get on the equipment. Occupational hazard. It's not like the blood was a result of the coach beating her, as in the case of Karolyi with the Romanian gymnasts. Rodica Dunca said, "On certain days we were hit until blood was pouring out our nose. You can say it was a concentration camp."
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Oh, it's not MY theory about He Kexin. It's what the people who found the original Internet documents eventually admitted. When you realize that He Kexin competed for the Wuhan team in the Intercity games, everything else follows. A '92 Beijing born He Kexin is useless to the Wuhan team. However, a '94 Hubei born He Kexin would kick ass and take names. You see, the Intercity games has a MAXIMUM age limit and Wuhan just happens to be the capital of Hubei province...
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@bikerOGX I never said the blood on the bars was because of being beaten. But that's abuse. No hand with rips bleed that much. And the video includes a coach kicking a child too. And if that is the truth, then why would they go through all that just so He could compete at the Intercity games with younger gymnasts if she were already so much better? There's not much experience to gain there.
ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Oh, I didn't say you did. It's just that whenever someone talks about gymnast abuse, I just can't help throwing out some fun facts about Bela Karolyi. Like, for instance, Melita Ruhn, Nadia Comaneci's teammate, said Bela Karolyi once removed the cast from her broken leg during a competition and made her perform vault. Afterward, he replaced the cast. The fun fact is that she scored a perfect 10.
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Hmmmm...very confusing...you seem to be saying that the younger gymnasts at the Intercity games would pose no serious challenge to an older He Kexin. Aren't Americans always whining about how the Chinese had an advantage because they were supposedly younger? Are you now saying that was all bullshit?
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@bikerOGX Haha, she was terrific in 2006. Almost as good as she was in 08. Again, another irrelevant stereotype. Her bars was Olympic material in 2006. What's the point of her competing against girls two years younger and not fully at their peak if she's already much better. What experience does she have to gain from there? For the Karolyi example, I consider that abuse too. But it makes you wonder how broken her leg really was.
ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 The best Olympic gymnasts in the world couldn't beat a handful Chinese gymnasts who had the supposed advantage of being "underage" in 2008. If this is true, wouldn't having He Kexin compete against literally hundreds of these awesome "underage" Chinese gymnasts at the Intercity games be an even bigger challenge than the Olympics? However, I think you're missing the point about the purpose of competitions. Gaining experience is a byproduct, the main goal is to win.
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Yeah, I agree with you about the seriousness of leg injuries often being exaggerated way out of proportion in gymnastics. Marta should call up Rebecca Bross right now and tell her to get off her lazy ass and fly to Tokyo to help the U.S. team. "Miss Brossa, suk eet up, back een Romania, zee gymnasts kompeeted wit noo neecaps!"
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@bikerOGX Bross resumes training soon, that's good. Poor girl. And I would agree on what you said about the Intercity games, but the field was pretty weak. What is there to win?
ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 If the goal of a competition is to win, would you rather have He Kexin on your team doing bars or not? Somehow I don't see the coach of the Wuhan team saying, "Naaah, let's leave her off, she's too good."
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@bikerOGX I see your point, but that's not what I was saying. Why would He feel the need to go through all that trouble and change her age and birthplace just to compete against a weak field?
ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Competing against underage Chinese gymnasts is somehow a "weak field" now? What happen to all the American whining about the unfairness of competing against younger and more flexible Chinese gymnasts?
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@bikerOGX Nice try. I said the Intercity games is a weak field. That's not really much of a lie. He Kexin easily beats them even in the AA with her wobbly beam set and weak floor routine. And why would she go through all that trouble and change her passport just to compete against girls that don't have a shot of beating her?
ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 She didn't change her passport for the Intercity games. Intercity games doesn't require a passport. Everyone is from China. Duh.
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@bikerOGX Birthplace on her passport*.
ShawnVikaKomova2012 3 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Wow, you're kinda slow, aren't you? The Inter"city" games isn't an Inter"national" competition. Do you understand the concept and purpose of a passport? Try rereading my last comment again.
bikerOGX 3 months ago
@bikerOGX I did, but your original comment made no sense. She alledgedly changed her birthplace to represent the Wuhan team?
ShawnVikaKomova2012 3 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Try again. If you still don't understand, maybe you should have been selected for the U.S. team, cuz all Special Olympic athletes are guaranteed to win a medal just for showing up.
bikerOGX 3 months ago
@bikerOGX Just stating what you originally said. No need to contradict yourself.
ShawnVikaKomova2012 3 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Repeating and understanding are not the same thing. However, I think it's great schools are giving special ed kids like you access to the Internet.
bikerOGX 3 months ago
@bikerOGX Your comment originally made no sense. She would not go through all that trouble just to represent the Wuhan team.
ShawnVikaKomova2012 3 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 But the fact is that He Kexin did represent the Wuhan team in the Intercity games. Are you saying she didn't? Look at the links on your very own channel. LOL!
bikerOGX 3 months ago
@bikerOGX I'm saying she did, but why would she go through all that trouble just to represent them for a small meet?
ShawnVikaKomova2012 3 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 A "small meet" according to who? To the Wuhan coach, the Intercity games is the most important meet of his life. "All that trouble" according to who? Coach fills out Intercity games registration form: He Kexin, '94, Hubei. Bamm. Done.
bikerOGX 3 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Notice everything that connects He Kexin with the '94 birthdate is linked either to Wuhan or Hubei. Every document that lists the '92 birthdate has her correct birthplace of Beijing. So unless you are saying He Kexin wasn't born in Beijing, of which there's mountains of evidence that she was, it doesn't take a genius to figure out what happened. The birthdate change makes sense in either direction, but the birthplace change only makes sense in one.
bikerOGX 3 months ago
@bikerOGX I don't see the sense of yours. The Intercity games is nothing compared to the Olympics. Why would they change her birthplace just to represent Wuhan?
ShawnVikaKomova2012 3 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Would you stop making the same stupid mistake of looking at everything in hindsight? It's like asking why Jordyn Wieber, your favorite gymnast, would waste her time competing in some lame State championship in 2003, when it's obvious NOW how much better she was than everyone else there.
bikerOGX 3 months ago
@bikerOGX It's not the same. In 2006, He was about at the same level as she was in 2008. Haha, funny about Wieber. My favorite XD. You keep on avoiding the question. It's evident you have no answer.
ShawnVikaKomova2012 3 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Do you understand what hindsight means? Do you think He Kexin has psychic powers? Does she know whether she'll win any given competition before it takes place? Does she then follow your lame-ass logic and choose not to compete at all because she knows she's going to win? Does she not want too many medals cluttering up her room? Does she not want the prize money cuz she's a Notorious B.I.G. fan and knows "mo money mo problems"? Why don't you answer these questions?
bikerOGX 3 months ago
@bikerOGX I did answer them before. But again, why would she go through all this trouble for a small meet. And yes, she knew she'd win.
ShawnVikaKomova2012 3 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Well, if I had psychic powers and knew which meets I would win or lose, I'd only go to the winning ones. The real question is why you think she wouldn't.
bikerOGX 3 months ago
@bikerOGX Because that would mean changing her birthplace. I think she knew she would've won. It was a small field.
ShawnVikaKomova2012 3 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Changing her birthplace on what? A passport isn't required. LOL!
bikerOGX 3 months ago
@bikerOGX Yes, you've said that. Which supports my argument even more. Why on earth would she change her birthplace?
ShawnVikaKomova2012 3 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Once again, changing her birthplace on what? You keep on avoiding the question. It's evident you have no answer.
bikerOGX 3 months ago
@bikerOGX I'm not avoiding any question. It's you that is doing it. Changing her birthplace on her passport so that she could represent the Wuhan team? Why on earth would she do that just to compete at such a small meet?
ShawnVikaKomova2012 3 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Did you see where I wrote a passport isn't required? Why on earth would she change something that wasn't required? LOL!
bikerOGX 3 months ago
@bikerOGX Don't call me names or change the subject, WHAT have you ever done in a gym that makes you qualified to even argue about gymnastics? You sound like a psycho- parent of a gymnast!!!!! I can prove anything I say, so you should be able to as well, so don't lie! You think nothing bad happens in a communist country? That isn't true, bad things happens in EVERY country! Look up the video "Not always happy endings" These kids are from all over the GLOBE! And abuse happens in every country!
jarileigh 3 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Besides, He Kexin is a gymnast. Her job is to compete in competitions. What's she going to do, say "No thanks coach. I don't feel the need to compete. Gonna stay home tonight and read Jennifer Sey's book on my kindle instead."?
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Regarding He Kexin, never mind the fact that she was cleared 3 years ago. Try re-examining the Internet evidence. What most people do is concentrate on the 1994 birthdate and completely ignore the incorrectly listed birthplace. If you maintain the Internet document to be accurate and say He Kexin's passport and birth certificate were faked later for the purpose of the Olympics, changing the birthdate makes sense, but why alter the birthplace from Hubei to Beijing?
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@bikerOGX I won't dismiss the fact that she was cleared 3 years ago. I don't want another Dong Fangxiao 10 years later. And why her birthplace could've been altered to Beijing is beause she would've been cheered for more if she were from Beijing (hometown girl). That would've boosted her confidence. It's not too hard to fake a passport (that's what Karolyi has said), so why not do a bit extra while you change her date of birth.
ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 That's kinda a weak explanation and you know it. Besides, from what I understand, He Kexin speaks perfect Mandarin. If she was from Hubei, she would speak a different dialect and her Mandarin would have an accent. Her speech would be clearly identifiable to Chinese speakers as, say, an American from the Midwest trying to pass herself off as being from New York.
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@bikerOGX It is a bit of a weak explanation, but if I were to change a gymnasts age, I would also go to even more drastic measures to make them feel as comfortable as possible. I don't see the need to change her birthplace and I didn't realize you were so knowledgable about Chinese dialects.
ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Sure, making He Kexin feel more comfortable is a good thing, but think about it for a moment. By changing her birthplace, you just increased the complexity of the deception one hundred fold. Now you have to fake school records, pay off thousands of people from her "real" hometown to keep their mouths shut, etc. This is exactly what I meant before. Americans would rather choose a crazy complex conspiracy theory to make the facts fit rather than what is simple & obvious.
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 And if you say USA Gymnastics never filed an official complaint, then another name for unofficial complaints is "whining."

ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Asian women tend to appear younger than their actual age that's the reason why there's so many misunderstandings, if USA never filed an official complaint then that means they aren't 100 percent sure and are afraid of being proved wrong, even though the event was held in china background checks on the athletes were done by many countries US included so since US is doubting china's age group, it really shows how much trust they put into their own security.
hollisterluver1308 4 months ago
@hollisterluver1308 If USA Gymnastics never filed an official complaint, it could be that they are happy with their silver and understand that even though He might've been underaged, China was better and deserved the win. That's how I take it and that's how I would respond. I'm from the US, so don't stereotype please. Yes, typically, most Asian women look younger than they really are, but even people in China were saying that He was 14.
ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@hollisterluver1308 i truly respect that the U.S. had no bad intentions i think they performed great quite honestly i'm just so fed up by their fans who keep pointing fingers at China when they won the game fair and square, they won the game because the team consists of girls who have passionate dreams for the sport and did work hard for their placement today, i just ask that we can just stop the accusations.

More good news for U.S.A. Gymnastics.

ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago

ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 BTW, did you notice that in the video I chose to represent U.S.A. gymnastics (watch?v=FpmRBg5XlWM), the gymnast seems to have two butts? There's like a "front butt" as well as a "back butt." Are all gymnasts in the U.S. specifically chosen to have this special trait? If so, I think it's a great idea because no matter which way they fall, they're guaranteed to have something big and round to land on.
bikerOGX 4 months ago
@bikerOGX Yes, ASac didn't seem too phased in Beijing on her FX fall.
ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Exactly! ASac fell recently on FX during VISAs too. Not hurt at all. I'm one to give credit where credit is due. The selection of "double-butted" gymnasts in the U.S. is a stroke of genius!
bikerOGX 4 months ago

@bikerOGX Yeah, and I've heard people talk about 'abusing the chinese girls', but all the videos and articles seem so subconsciously racist and unconvincing on the analytical and factual side. I've only ever seen Lu Shenzhen act positively towards his gymnasts, but Marta Karolyi, the girls she coordinates look dead scared of her.
bernardmvella 4 months ago 4
@bernardmvella /watch?v=8YC5dkBVaxI&feature=related I wouldn't call this racist... And I definately wouldn't say that the Beijing team was scared of Marta. They always went up to hug her right away (or Valeri or Liang).
ShawnVikaKomova2012 4 months ago
Oh it's true. If the rules were followed, ASac shouldn't have been allowed to compete in the 2010 World Championships. Just like Ponor can't even be announced as a nominative member of Romanian team this year before Oct. 1 due to the required six months availability for anti-doping tests. An exception "may" have been made in ASac's case cuz she gives really good BJs according to the FIG committee members.
