@drumsalltime This is the Chaser it runs about $7200+. The Horizon runs $10,400+ and the Tear Drop runs $15000+. Nice trailers for camping and off-road travel. There are some that are much better only they cost around $50,000. The AEV-490 which is built in Australia is quite the AT trailer, but it will cost you a pretty penny.
I am really wanting to buy one of these traielrs but I am having a reeeeal hard time vustifying the high price tag that comes with it. I have talked with AT and they wont budge on the price! I find it hard to believe that the accesories that you can get with the trailer are as expensive as they are priced at...any feedback on this from any of you that might have one of therse traielrs?
The great thing about matched tires and rims is that you can run one spare between the tow vehicle and the trailer. You can run a comprehensive tire repair system, or if the need grabs you run a swing away tire carrier and additional spare, all are available through Adventure Trailers
One of the better trailers I have seen. Not easy taking one of these along for the ride. Very handy if you want to fit your tent on top of like this one. Do they have a web site for the trailer? Might end up making my own!
for the places i find my gold this would be ok but its when i go camping this would just hang up on the hitch and strand me for a few mins till i got the hi-lift out
Reminds me of the fun we used to have four-wheeling in the Army with the old AMG trucks. They were like snails on the highway but they were great off road.
No one asked you to say "because they know that jeeps are a bag of shit and didn't want to show the rest of the world thats it is useless offroad" either so stfu.
Looks like a good setup for the terrain. On the old Land Rovers you could fit a PTO-powered trailer that actually drove - making your Landy a 6x6 'bendy bus'
I love the trailer, just not the price tag. A guy in our 4x4 club just ended up building his own for a few hundred bucks with spare parts and it goes everywhere with him. Shame about the price of that trailer really, I really wanted one.
i hate it when i have to push the butt button

Your adolescent comment amuses me. I suppose every jeep, jeep owner, US military, major car manufacturer, was wrong.
sail3465 2 years ago
Adolescent comment aside, there is a reason why marine fast attack uses G-wagons, and combat controllers/pj's use Hilux's and Land cruisers.

Cool trailer, but it seems like a hassel to tow around the trails. I'll just stick to my Toyota's that actually have space to store things. xD
broodmare25 3 years ago
The trailer is for us overlanders, not as much for crawling. In expeditionary travel a trailer can be a very useful item.... or an extreme hassle.
This is a good test of off road capability, but still doesn't say anything for durability, which most trailers FAIL at.

It was a joke about getting the guy beside the jeep to help by pushing it.
