It has been forever rumored that the mega push that was given to Bret in the early 90s was originally set to be given to Kerry, that would have fitted him perfectly, being the wrestler who beat Ric Flair for both the NWA and WWF World titles, unfortunately his personal demons got the best of him but there is no denying that he was absolutely one of the all time greats

I allways thought David and Kevin were the better in ring performers of the Von Erich family, but I thought Kerry was also good but Kerry also had the look and charasma that none of the other brothers had. Kerry Von Erich had the full package needed to become a star in wrestling, too bad everything was about Hulk Hogan back then and too bad his demons got the better of him, RIP Kerry, you truly were one of the greats in wrestling.

Kerry was on Felony Probation for forging pain killer prescriptions. He was busted with a felony cocaine possesion charge and was facing some serious prison time for violating his probabtion in such a quick time. That and the Fact that he blew his big time deal with Vince, mounted on the already tarnished Von Erich legacy, and the dissapointment was too much. His drug addiction and his family's demons just out weighed his wrestling drive.
