Never place new tape over old tape. All old tape and adheasive should be removed and new tape applied to do a proper regrip. Mineral spirits is a flamable liquid. Bramptons HF1000 grip solvent is non-flamable, non-toxic and bio-degradable. Mineral spirits and white gas are a poor substitute for HF-1000.
