Compared to the first ToS, I'd say the character graphics are very good. Lloyd looks slightly odd, though it may be because we are used to seeing them in graphics similar to ToS. Still, these graphics are pretty compariable to Abyss, I'd say. Still, judging a game by how the characters look is kinda...nearsighted.

They have ruined the character design from the first Tales of Symphonia on Gamecube. I bought a Wii for a Tales game and this doesn't look tempting at all. Damn it!
This graphics make it look like "kiddie". Tales of Vesperia have tiny characters but the game doesn't look like kiddie as this one. Oh well, I have to save money for a PS3 or sell the Wii since I only play on my PS2.

You're the first person I've seen that said the switch from cel-shaded chibis made it look more kiddie. (that was actually pretty amusing) I can't believe you're judging it from the graphics in the first place. (plus this game has a different character designer than the first one, but the same guy is writing it at least. That's promising, I'd say)

You never know. The first Symphonia was 'Only for gamecube', but eventually had a port to PS2 in Japan....
