My husband is on his 3rd deployment in as many years. Our daughter is 3.5 years old. He has missed so much and it's heartbreaking. We've been married for almost 4.5 years and I really look forward to when I truly get to be with him all the time. 7 more years until retirement and then no more photos like the ones in this video!

My husband just left for Afghanistan last Thursday, this is our 3rd deployment. I want to break down but I know I have to be strong not only for myself, my husband but most especially for our son. I travel for work frequently, 6-45 days out at a time with with 1 - 2 days home. I know the heart ache of leaving and rejoicing of being home, these men and women who serve us know these feelings much more than myself or any of us. Maaaan, this just reminds me of all the sad and happy moments throughout my life with my significant other. We started through the journey as boyfriend and girlfriend and now we're married. As he gets ready for another deployment I get ready for months of sleeping with the phone and awaiting every email or phone call. Thanks for being really supportive of not only the service members but their families. It means a lot to us.
We got married in December 23, he left for his first deployment in January 15. I really thought we had more time to spend together but those few weeks went by like a blur. A lot of people don't know what it's like to be in a relationship with a military man/woman. Your video really cheered me up and I'm more than excited to see my husband soon. :') Thank you.
Forget what some of the people are complaining about. It shouldn't matter what branch is shown more or they feel that way. Everyone knows they deploy and in the end everyone involved in these situations goes through the same feelings. So try to look at the bigger picture.

4 photos? 5 photos? Come on... We deploy more than the Airforce does.. and who's augmenting the Army because they don't have enough people?? THE NAVY. Do some research.
I hope you are not a guy crying because there aren't many photos of the Navy. I don't see any Airman complaining and they have less photos. No Coasties are complaining and they're barely in there. Take your skirt off. I have more women who love a man in the Army Marines, hence so many photos of them. Also, I chose whatever capture the emotion I wanted. Your women need to take more homecoming photos because I didn't have a lot of Navy. Not my fault. Really don't care.
@silvernavy I'm sorry you feel neglected, but I know for a fact he didn't do it intentionally. He let people know that he was making a video and said to tag him in some pictures if we wanted him to use them. I guess it just so happens that no Navy spouses tagged pictures before he didn't need them. It wasn't intentional neglection.

great video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i havent experienced having to say goodbye for a deployment but even boot camp was really tough for me. i cried harder than i had in a long long long time when i had to say goodbye to him. im in dep now and once we're both in the military deployments will be tough but i know we can make it through.

I wish I knew how much it helped but I'm very happy that you are now able to feel the way you want to feel freely. That was the purpose of this video, to let everyone know it's okay to cry, be angry, irritated, bitchy, depressed. Deployments are rough and they are not easy to deal with. Being strong is important but you can still shed tears and be strong at the same time :)

This is perfect! My fiance isn't deployed right now and I've yet to go through one, but we are separated by 3000 miles at the moment and I feel it everyday. Its so hard to be apart from the one you love, but knowing that the first kiss and hug upon seeing each other again is waiting for me is what keeps me pushing! my boyfriend come home in a month :) im sooo excited to finally see him after 7 months :) it's been sooo long & i just need him back. even if he only need a month left, everyday is still a challenge for me & i wish the day would FLY!

my boyfriend isn't deployed but he's been restationed... I know its not the same but it hurts just the same bc you miss them. GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS <3

This is perfect! My fiance isn't deployed right now and I've yet to go through one, but we are separated by 3000 miles at the moment and I feel it everyday. Its so hard to be apart from the one you love, but knowing that the first kiss and hug upon seeing each other again is waiting for me is what keeps me pushing! He's the bestfriend, the best man, the best blessing I could have ever asked for. I'm head over heels in love with my airman! Thanks for this :)

Thanks for the love everyone!!! =] I tried my best to match the lyrics with the pictures to capture the emotion. At first saying goodbyes are really tough, but just like in the video, if you hold out to the end, the reward of seeing them all over again is WORTH it!
