Ok. I don't read a lot of mangas so... ok! But I don't understand why Red aged and Ash didn't. I mean the anime was around the same time the video games were out so if they made Red age, why didn't they age Ash as the time events from the anime was going and going. It's like every human in the anime is frozen at the age they're at today and will permanently stay as that age until the day they die.

A realistic aging just wouldn't work in a kids show; I mean if you were a kid would you enjoy watching someone go through puberty? Hell no, eww, you'd be shocked cause you do not understand what's happening to him and then realize it's gonna happen to you too. Also no-aging makes characters immortal. It's kids show about catchable monsters, why need realism?
