  • U c because of racial discriminación blacks will b affected for many decades to come, all blacks should b rich and wealthy , no matter wat their circumstances r, the way blacks were savagely beaten , se should own the Dam country

  • How are African Americans of this generation entitled to any compensation or apology from actions and injustice acted upon over 2 decades before their birth? It's to my understanding that now everyone, regardless of color, is granted the same opportunity. Stop perpetuating separation, stop keeping your own people low by labeling them oppressed. Take some self accountability and make your own future.

  • Looks like the media just lost credit again and that bitch probably got fired or had to sleep with someone to keep her job lol

  • SMH, THE MEDIA GOT WHAT THEY WANTED I GUESS THE TRUTH !!

  • It is much easier and very cowardly to demonize the oppressed than to reconcile the evil injustices of Whites against all people of color.

  • U CAN TELL THIS DOG SMELLING TRAMP KNOWS NOTHING OR EVEN CARES ABOUT CHURCH!! a church question??? I CAN SMELL HER!! ALEX JONES CHANNEL!! INFO WARS!!!!!!!!! GO BECOME WISER!! ASAP

  • OMG...Fox news must feel like the biggest asses on the planet. I do not see a hteful bigot, I see a preacher in a black church- this has realy opened my eyes as to how divisive the media tries to get when political interest are at stake...and using a preacher is the ultimate insult!

  • miseducation of the negro

  • He should focus on the reconciliation part more than the social critiques. All of what he says is true, but he fails miserably at building that bridge, closing that gap between the races. Reconciliation isn't a rhetorical enterprise, or an intellectual debate. Reconciliation is compassion, humility, moderation. While he's no racist or panther, he's definitely Afrocentric. I'm of the opinion that Afrocentrism, or any ethnocentrism, cannot coexist, yield or bequeath reconciliation. Period.

  • Wright is not arrogant , he is deliberately acting so, to/for the media, because of their treatment of him. it's his way of saying, stick that in your pipe and smoke it. You go black man, go...

  • hii...I was responding to the post below mine. It was not meant to inlcude all white people, tho it may have sounded as such.

  • white people have a problem with intelligent black people, they want to believe that black people are ignorant savages, less intelligent, they are itimidated by 'cocky black men'

  • My friend you must remember only stupid white people believe that. But we have stupid black people the believe that "If you want something done correctly you must hire white people". I say you must hire good people and have a damn good contract.

  • wow stop demonizing white people, we love black people and have embraced them fully as of the last 20 years.

  • @blackl1steddrums

AND THEY HATE THAT AND SEE IT AS A THREAT!! EVEN THE INDIANS WERE SMARTER AND MUCH MORE WISER THEN THE AGENDA!! WE HAVE JUS ALWAYS SPOKE PEACE 1ST AS THE SHOT THERE GUN POWDER THAT THEY DIDNT EVEN EVENT!! LOOK AT THAT SMELLY WHITE DOGG!!

  • You are so right!

  • @royalljelly I'm with you a hundred percent but it's not all white people it's a lot of them but remember some unintelligent Chocolate people believe whites are all goody goody nice people when just 30 to 50 to 60 years ago a majority of them were ganging up on us and going all out to terrorize and kill us. and I'm saying they didn't die out or go away. A real Black man knows the history and knows his enemy my problem is with the racist bigotry in the position to determine public policy

  • How can so many people be deluded into believing that someone who acts this arrogantly and cocky is a true religious man. People are fools I swear.

  • Bless Rev Wright.

  • lol.....i'm not 75

  • He spoke almost everything true. What is untrue, is this thought of reconciliation. Im black and I dont live in America, and I fail to understand why the hell black americans want to live on in peace with white americans. I suggest yall brothas open your fucking eyes.

How the hell can you live in peace with a warrior who does nothing but fights, kills, murders? Its like, going into Jail and expecting to have a tea-party with the worlds worst criminals... Fucking naive...

  • I agree

  • ill tell you why. because black americans are smarter than your ignorant ass. they dont blame white people for slavery/segregation because the whites living today do not condone those practices. they dont dwell on the past, which cant be changed, but focus on the future.

you said :"How the hell can you live in peace with a warrior who does nothing but fights, kills, murders?"

some whites kill, most dont. some blacks kill, most dont. its not about race anymore, you need to learn that

  • Dumb Americans.

First of all, I know you Americans love dividing people in different races, but there are none, there is one race and thats homo sapiens. Go and fuck an Neanderthal or Homo Erectus if you want to race-mix, thats the scientific definition.

Second, read history and tell me one people or culture who have created nuclear, bio, chemical weapons? Who have killed 100million+ Africans, exterminated Native Americans, mass murdered Arabs/Iraqis, Japanese, Aboriginals, World Wars?

  • Those who forget the past are bound to repeat it.

  • @hiiamrick

a good saying but not relevant in this case

  • He had said that it was an attack on the black church. The problem is that he does beleive these things to be true. He himself and the church hold radical and dangerous views. This is not an attack on the Church. Understand the difference. The point in them being black is of no importance at all. Like Obama, they are to blame for the encouragement of this this filth he spews. But this too is the problem. I'm not concerned with the idea that they don't beleive this, I'm worried they do.

  • thumb down

  • This man is a dumb asshole just like farrakhan. they want to ride in on Obamas achievement.

  • Kill yourself cracker!!!!!!

  • thumb down

  • and u wanna ride on obamas cock.... what a deluded fuck off u are.... it would be better if you had kept ur filthy trap shut moron.....

  • John 10:16 was not quoted completely by this man here. Jesus continued to say... them also I must bring and there shall be one fold and ONE shepherd. John 10:11,14 makes it plain that Christ alone is the good shepherd. The other sheep he is referring to are the Gentile nations, not Islamics. Read Romans 11. There are many religious leaders who would do themselves a great deal of good if they themselves did what Jesus said and not used His Name for their own cause.

  • Comment removed

  • I do agree about the reconciliation. But what he says about Jesus and Islam is heresy, may God be merciful to those that follow Rev. Wright.

  • intelligent! speaking the total truth!

  • This guy is such a loser...he is drunk on his own 15 minutes of fame. He's also under the sad misconception that anyone actually "gives a shit" about anything he says.

  • Only a jackass would say what you said. Jackass!

  • No need to be angry, for anger is the way to the dark side. hhhmmmmmmm yrrreeesss

  • Wright's analogy was fact. As a powerful dominant white male one could preach and lynch on the same day because HE was "made in God's image." Not saying the slave was not, but that wasn't the quote he could readily identify with being treated as a SLAVE. So MY opinion is since everyone's personal perception of God is different NONE of us pray to the "same God." MY GOD is a nuturing sustaining Daddy. He ADORES ME, FORGVES ME. He comforts me in chaos. He's my EVERYTHING :) To you He's?

    GO OBAMA!

  • His mannerisms were a little more than "different" they were not really neccesary. It breaks my heart that the only thing the media allowed people to TAKE from this was "Wright bashes Obama." So that's the primary focus. As far as "slave/slave owners praying to the same God" I think all he meant was that when you are in a position of oppression the Scriptures unstructed slaves to "work as they were working for the Lord."

  • What I mean by that is when given an opportunity to orchestrate and manipulate the media DOES and we just gobble it up. I wouldn't vote for Clinton because she married Clinton anymore than I would vote for Obama for being black!!!

Now all of a sudden we have "He'll say whatever it takes to get votes" meanwhile Clinton pulls off a major "land-slide" in IN! I'm a black Christian woman and I think what Mr. Wright said had truths to it. All the biblical quotes were correct, but his haughty display!

  • My only problem with this circus act is if this man is there to speak about "blah black church," why is it that he without hesitation shunned questions about Bill Clinton; but not ONE about Senator Obama???

It is very sad to me that the media put such a spin on things. I mean NOTICE the questions. A powerful man once said "You must pitch the slaves against each other pointing out their differences and using them to your advantage." I'm paraphrasing but that whole scene screams of Willie Lynch.

  • Is there a precher(credible one) with a video opinion of Rev. Wright. I want to know if they think that he is a fake preacher, does he believe in God? Is are the members of his church not going to heaven ?

I am just interested to find out what other christians, of all races, think.

He said that the slave owners and the slaves were not praying to the same God, does anyone have an opinion on this.

  • well, slavery was a humiliating and destructive vicious cycle of human rape, white europeans and americans knew this and turned a blind eye due to racism and pride. People say, but there was slavery in the bible too, yes, but it was in a different time period with different values, women who wore fancy earings in the streets were seen as prostitutes and it was condemned in the bible, should we condemn women who wear earings now? No, can't have same God and a different view of sin.

  • you are right and God punished the slave owners in the Bible for example Egypt, God sent 10 plagues, killed their first born, destroyed their economic power and military might in the red sea. So justice was served.

  • I think its just like the media, i'm not seventy five.

  • The man is brilliant I love it!

  • he is smart but he is making a fool of blacks, black churches, himself and his church which angers me deeply.

  • There is NO such thing as a white church and black church! There is only one CHRUCH! Taht is it. He meaning God created all nations out of one BLOOD! These folks who are asking these questions are scriptural ignorant! Becasue they believe in Sodomity, Santa Claus, Easter, Sunday, how can a people who believe in lies, act right and know the truth unless they repent!

  • Most people around the world believe in sunday! with or without the benefit of scripture....and what the hell is a CHRUCH!?

  • I personally do not think he is wrong, the reverend points out many truths such as pushing native americans out of their lands and nation building in Iraq, and the correlation between black neighborhoods in poverty and slavery, I do beleive that he could say things in a more civil manner at times, but he is telling the truth and the media, which many people buy into, portray him as an evil man. I would not back everything he says, but he says many truths people need to understand.

  • God bless you Mr. wright, however you are so wrong, because Senator Barack Obama is going to be the next President of america, deal with it.

    Thank you:

    Rose--F

  • Clinton '08!!

Go Indiana. Put Osama in his place.

    Clinton '08!!!

  • I feel sorry for this girl they got to ask all these questions. Wright dogged her sometimes during this news conference. I agree with most of what Wright said. The TV networks just chose to take 30 second clips of all the negative. I don't agree with everything he says, but don't crucify the man.

  • I completely agree with knobrocker!

  • Jesus Christ was a black man. Get over it you white racist bigots. And by the way; I am white as Casper the friendly ghost.

  • It was not an attack on the Black Church, it was an attack on Obama, who was foolish enough to associate himself with this cunt of a man.

  • smugness is on the face of those who try to undermine this man's truth.

  • you are right man

  • Hey...good stuff!

Check out my humorous video blog!

  • I am a white male. Nothing here offends me. This man speaks the truth

  • rev wright is an old ass man seeking attention.

  • As a white person, I expected to be deeply offended, but aside from being a bit theatrical, and having some out-there opinions, I think he's quite intelligent and entertaining. A lot of what he said makes sense. Unfortunately, he did throw Obama under the bus, and I can't understand or excuse that.

  • This is what Obama threw him under the bus for ???????? Hell he made a lot more since in these three videos then all that old crap he was spewing. At least he said why he believes what he does, shit if anything this made me think more highly of him and less of Obama for bailing on him.

  • Oh bless be the holly name of the almighty YAH, the house of YAH'qob known as negroes worked 4 thousand years as slaves without a salary, they lived in fear, and now most of them are either in jails or losing their houses without health care.Yet you hate them. But you sons of YAH'qob negroes keep your faith in YAH'shouah not in men. No men will help you. Your kingdom is coming all scattered bornes will comes together soon. Be fully blessed servants of YAH'shouah is coming soon for JUSTICE

  • why now ,this guy has been put here to distroy ..barack obama election...sellout wake up people

  • The perceived smugness may be a bit over the top--but most of what he had to say was true. I disagree with some of the answers but you can understand the sources behind those answers and where he got his ideas from. If he had changed his delivery perhaps he would not have offended so many. It seems to me that Wright is lambasted for not being politically correct in a culture that values being pc-- but he is not called to be pc, he is called to proclaim truth even if it hurts.

  • (bluestripetiger)

Definitely one of the smartest comments under this vid. EXCELLENT! Oh! And also, EVERYTHING Rev. Wright had said was true, not most. ^_^!

    (Comment on Pg.4)

  • This guy is a Egomaniac, he doesn't care about anything except getting what he has to say out there. and probably just ruined Obama's chance at presidency

  • Typical attention whoring. People like Wright will absolutely ensure that racism and discrimination in this country continue, and people like Obama will instead fight to move on and move forward. You can play the victim and the conspiracy theorist as long as you want. Just know that if you chose to follow that path, you are doing yourself a disservice. Wise up people. The "man" is not keeping you down. You are keeping yourself down by isolating yourself.

  • I as a blackman disagree with what he is saying.Yes there was injustice done to the black race but the way he is handling this situation. This man has his own agenda. He is for himself. So my white, asian, hispanic brothers and sisters I disagree how the way this man is trying to handle the race issue

  • And, its not an attack on the Black church, its an attack on Obama. People are concerned that the possible next President of the U.S. agrees with you in that God should "Damn" America because its in the bible, for killing innocent people. You're a horrible minister my friend, or that a cute nickname for our country is the "United States of KKK A." You're insane dude, just a little bit.

  • Dude, I'll tell you how we unite and get over it. You let it go. You fogive and forget and become a color blind observer of humanity.

  • "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd." John 10:16

He left out half the verse and din't answer her question in the process. Jesus says he will bring them under one shepherd, which again implies a single faith system, much like when Christ said "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh to the father but though me." The man's a text-twisting snake. Get over yourself.

  • Can you imagine Bush or any one of his minions speaking so truthfully and eloquently. We are heading toward a new consciousness and Rev. Wright, although speaking forcefully, is actually spreading the same message as Eckhart Tolle in "A New World". We need to become less mind (ego) driven (he may need to work on this some more) and more aware and intuitive to the things that distinguish us as individuals, not a collective race, religion, or political mind.

  • man, I thought he was incrediably well spoken, funny, and had a lot of class and media is pathetic. It let down the country for years while not even searching for the truth about the Iraq war, and everybody just assumes what they report is true. The pastor is right, the media never gets it right, and they need to earn our respect back. We shouldn't give it to them so blindly. He's a smart man and America needs to be real about how racist a country it is.

  • He is a great entertainer, thats it. Religion is a very personal thing, some people can provide guidance. This man is providing entertainment, thats all.

  • I don't want this guy teaching anything other than how to sell snake oil-he claims intelligence but has none-but I'm sure this will be edited out on all the media channels because i am not a minister of the gospel. As far as for what God wants-it's written: For God so loved the World he gave his only begotten Son that whoever beleiveteth in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

  • Im white, this guys an idiot, and Im still voting for Obama.

    08ama.

  • I still don't understand...why do you guys call him an idiot?

  • Because you are an idiot

  • Question #16-

He perverts scripture, extremely. When Jesus said what he said about the "more have I than the sheep of this fold" or w/e (can't check, sound isn't working), Jesus was talking about gentiles (non-jews) being able to be saved. So basically, you don't HAVE to be a Jew to accept him. However, he also says he is the way, the truth and the light. So you must accept him, but anyone can. He's not saying "Oh, you're saved no matter what you do" 0_o

  • I can't wait to see Chris Rock in his next HBO special sink his teeth into this guy. :)

  • so let me get this straight this man

tells the truth and he gets watched

for it. Hmm. I wonder if he'll get killed for this. but what kind of country would kill you

for telling the truth oh right america. lol.

  • I thunk he is safe here because he has not used the word love very often. If he begins to talk about love then his life will be at risk in America.

  • The truth is offensive to some people, especially coming from an educated Black man.

  • @nickelslickent

LOOK AT THAT RAG DOLL ASKIN QUESTIONS!! HE MURDERED THEM WITH EVERY BRILLANT WORD!!! I CAN SMELL THAT FEMALE DOGG!!!

  • did ye ever notice hes not very black

  • The questions they asked him were unbelievably rude. If i were a journalist, I'd be hanging my head in shame at this display. These questions were neither probing nor difficult...just disrecpectfull.

  • fia, you may not realize it but he IS talking as a politician would... If he was a real pastor, he would be defending his religious beliefs instead of perverting and twisting the gospel. Politicians also twist words like that, that's why lawyers are so infamous ~_o

People only like him because he talks openly against racism- However, due to this, they fail to see the many, many other problems this man has.

  • While I agree with things he said, he answered questions in a very condescending manner. Yes, the media is filled with idiotic talking heads, but he just gives them more ammo. If Obama can sit there and take the flag pin question for the hundredth time then he can hold more restraint and eloquence in his responses.

  • "condescending" is perhaps not the right word. He did come off in the beginning as very defensive, and thus responding in his own unique passionate style. Remember, he is NOT a politician. He doesn't HAVE TO have the same restraint that Obama shows, when he is attacked over and over again. Wright is not a fame***** either. His tone did soften as the conference progressed, if you watched the entire news conference. Amazing how so many people think TV soundbites=final truth.

  • Pray for him. :)

  • dAMN THIS MAN IS BRIGHT AND INTELLIGENT..

  • Jesus said: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." And:"Love your neighbor as yourself." I see no love in Reverend Wright. Only hate and vanity.

  • jimthewriter - have you ever watched any of Reverend Jeremiah Wright's sermons? Is the reason you see "no love" in him is because you've never even heard a sermon of his?

I see no understanding of Exodus 20:16 in your post.

  • History clearly demonstrates that when governments try to mix politics with religion, people's individual rights are trampled upon. They represent two different worlds; two different kinds of power.

"Every man, conducting himself as a good citizen, and being accountable to God alone for his religious opinions, ought to be protected in worshiping the Deity according to the dictates of his own conscience." George Washington, Letter, United Baptist Chamber of Virginia May 1789

  • He distanced himself from the contoversay and placed it on the Black Church...so that it would be a racial issue...not an idiot issue

The other sheep are non-Jews - gentiles - not Muslims

He is right on our government in that we need to appologize to the black community

Now to say that he has not influenced Obama is foolish.

And now we see also who Obama realy is..just like everyone else, not a man of principal...but a sell-out...and really a sell out to white America just to get elected!

  • He is as controversial as Martin Luther King. Don't forget that, people. The way the media looks at Dr. Wright was the same way they looked at Dr. King.

  • Honestly, I don't see a divide between our races. Through the years I have had a lot of friends that were black. Never once in all the conversations (personal conversations) did they ever say they were struggling with racism etc. I truely believe we can't move forward if the racism issue is constantly thrown out there. History is history and should stay history. Obviously teach it but don't hold onto it like it's your best friend. If we are to unite we need to forgive and move on.

  • Hillary and McCain cannot pay this guy enough!!!

  • pastor wright is brilliant. fox news is biased and needs to go bankrupt.

    Go obama

  • We need to shut down and take some time to get to know one another. Sometimes I think we're never going to bridge the divide! People, you have to read, study, do some homework if you are ever going to understand people and accept them for WHERE they are. Develop an INFORMED opinion. Everything Rev. Wright says has an historical premise. He has dropped a lot of scholars names, books, etc. Get tthem, read them. The answers are there if you want to find them.

  • --BREAKING NEWS-- I have posted a newly discovered sermon....entitled "Obama Controls Rev Wright 30 Ways...." (view on my profile)

  • This black man makes sense to this white man

  • I think the bottom line here is that Rev. Wright is still drawing a division between black and white. "This is an attack on the black Church" well why is there a "black" church? is that not supporting segregation in itself? And if it really is "tradition" as he put it that causes these controversial statements about other races and the U.S. government, is this "tradition" really necessary? Shouldn't all churches of Christian faith preach the same thing regardless of race/color?

  • mortaltreason777, it's because as recent as a half century ago everything was segregated all the way down to the church. People forget this country is young compared to other ancient countries that take centuries to turn things around. It's still fresh here compared to other places.

  • I suggest that you actually LISTEN CRITICALLY to his entire speech... He explains the history EXTREMELY CLEARLY and he explains the difference in one's hermeneutics and WHY they are that way. Also, if you listen to the entire speech you will hear how much White influence has played a role in the church... states clearly that his congregation is PREDOMINATELY WHITE and serves all races. It is not hard to notice that he is a historian of religion... gosh, think critically. Read more.

  • smugly? more like wisely and truthfully.

  • woooooow
