Resistance 1&3 are the best the second did some things right in terms of scale but was somewhat lacking I think. The only part that R3 stumbled was the prison level because the human opposition wasn't animated well and I think it didn't tie into the story that well. But with that said I thoroughly enjoyed the campaign.
I like all of the games. If I feel like the good old WWIIish style, or a more horror-kind game, i'd play RFOM, if I feel like more futuristic more full on gameplay, I play R2. If I feel like a combination, I play R3.

it seems you dont like challenging games... health pick ups are the best part of resistance and they are back in resistance 3... the feeling of degrading health bar and lack of health pick ups is way enjoyable than regenerating health..

Resistance Fall of Man ran at 60FPS. Resistance 2 ran at 30FPS without a lot of the really great effects like motion blur, and they ditched the old way of weapons that made RFOM great.
uh fall of man ran at 30fps. fall of man didn't have motion blur. at least resistance 2 had motion blur as a bonus option after beating the game. get your facts right before you spew lies.
Liked Resistance: FoM better, i think that the people animations were better in Resistance 2 but the graphics overall in Resitance Fom were better, the campaign was also better.
Resistance: FoM was WAY better. A true FPS epic. (Half-life 2, Halo, Crysis 1, Doom 3, etc..) Resistance 2 on the other hand, felt like your typical 8 hour adventure : /

The first and second game were so DIFFERENT comparing them is nearly impossible. .it's like to different games. .the first one had VEHICLES and WEAPON WHEEL. .The 2 games have different weapons also. .but R2 has a kickass co-op & multiplayer.But if I had to chose it would be R2 because of the co-op and multiplayer matches.

@blackacid1000 I'm not sure which comment you were replying to but the enemies that look like grims but are much taller are Alpha Grims. These are simply a lot stronger and in multiplayer coop they usually drop grey matter when they die because they are considered a boss battle.

On the level where you kill the giant spinner the land surrounding the tower looks like a crappy aerial photo from google maps
To an extent, I agree. However I fealt that the weapons were overpowering, like in R1 where a hybrid would take like 8-10 carbine shots to kill, R2's took like 3-4 shots. Also, you gotta keep in mind that technology evolves more rapidly in Resistance so looking like the "26th" century is reasonable. I think that while R1's campaign was the best, R2's multiplayer kicked it's ass with 60 players and amazing co op, the lingering issue is the lack of new/wacky weapons though.
Yeh I agree only thing i dislike with co-op is it takes ages to kill level 3(3 star) chimera. It took like 8 mins once. Still its a good way to rack up xp
The story of RFOM is a hella lot better.. When I booted up R2 I felt disappointed and yet, somehow overwhelmed with it. The graphics are awesome. The story.. not so much.. also, all the chatter is via radio, so that kills the ambient. The guy is 6 feet in front of you and you're talking to him on the radio.. that sucks.
I liked R: FoM better because I thought it had a better atmosphere. It had a real gritty look to it. Everything was all grey and fuzzy. And the war-torne England really looked the part. In the beginning of Resistance 2 you fought in colorful forests. It didn't suite the game at all. Also the first one had more enemy variety. What happened to those big four-legged animal aliens?

Personally I like R2 because when it comes down to it, I want great gameplay, with great graphics.. the story istelf, well R1 explains really everything you need to know about the Chimera so you dont need that much explination in the second one.... both games are amazing though, and along with GOD or WAR, these are 2 franchises that you must play all of them, no matter what.
but i dont have friends to play rfom with split screen, we just play racing games instead of a shooter that looks boring to them so i dont even use split screen on R2 either

well if you get close to an enemy while your charging the blade you can make them explode but its primary use is to shoot the blades into your opponent.

on res1 u get rewarded for completing the fame on superhuman difficulty by unlocking the black ops suit, but in res2 u get it by ranking up which kinda looses its authenticity cos everyone has it
R1 online is way better than R2. R2 feels like just a replica FPS of some other game. r1 maps and weapons are better to. And the fact that there isnt a seperate buddy list on r2 and u cant kick people out of partys

Yeh I agree only thing i dislike with co-op is it takes ages to kill level 3(3 star) chimera. It took like 8 mins once. Still its a good way to rack up xp

The story of RFOM is a hella lot better.. When I booted up R2 I felt disappointed and yet, somehow overwhelmed with it. The graphics are awesome. The story.. not so much.. also, all the chatter is via radio, so that kills the ambient. The guy is 6 feet in front of you and you're talking to him on the radio.. that sucks.

I liked R: FoM better because I thought it had a better atmosphere. It had a real gritty look to it. Everything was all grey and fuzzy. And the war-torne England really looked the part. In the beginning of Resistance 2 you fought in colorful forests. It didn't suite the game at all. Also the first one had more enemy variety. What happened to those big four-legged animal aliens?

@Playstationgamer814 Sure but if they werent smart enough to know how to make a sequel then I have no hope for a 3rd being anything great. The 1st was so awesome and the 2nd just took a head 1st dive into a 20 foot pool with no water... So yeah, horrible mess. They sacrificed graphics to support alot of players which was a bad move. alot of players doesnt make a good game, certainly not the Resistance2 game.

i like the visual of r1's faded hazed 50s atmosphere.

resistance fall of man destroys 2 because fom was better story better gameplay and 2 everyone looked like they were all from the 26th centery and i hated that more than anything else in the game. also fall of man sounds like a cooler name than resistance 2 fall of man is better and always will be.

Rfom is VERY VERY hard you have to aim 100% to kill if your kill doesnt get stealed, everyone has last rank and they play in parties with their clans.Resistance 2 is more fun because its not that hard

Personally I like R2 because when it comes down to it, I want great gameplay, with great graphics.. the story istelf, well R1 explains really everything you need to know about the Chimera so you dont need that much explination in the second one.... both games are amazing though, and along with GOD or WAR, these are 2 franchises that you must play all of them, no matter what.

resistance 2 kicked my ass online. theres no room to run around and to survive because of the 60 player experience, which is great because its new but too hard. wasnt a big fan of campaign either since u vs the same waves of enemies continuously if u know wat i mean but thats just me so ya. im a critic over games haha

well if you get close to an enemy while your charging the blade you can make them explode but its primary use is to shoot the blades into your opponent.

aahh i got both resistances (lol) and love both, but i gotta say resistance 2 obliterates resistance fom, the multiplayer and co-op are sooooo fukkin good, and if you say it sucks you suck yourself, i have both dlc for resistance 1 and 2, and the online in resistance 1 is cool, but resistance 2 just beats it

on res1 u get rewarded for completing the fame on superhuman difficulty by unlocking the black ops suit, but in res2 u get it by ranking up which kinda looses its authenticity cos everyone has it

R1 online is way better than R2. R2 feels like just a replica FPS of some other game. r1 maps and weapons are better to. And the fact that there isnt a seperate buddy list on r2 and u cant kick people out of partys

actually me and another guy had a 3 person team and 1 person dropped out almost instantly and we finished it and we kicked ass it was the level were you had to protect the guy while he shut down the reactors while the chimera swarmed in and we finished it i was a medic most people dont realise that you can heal npcs

They are even. R1 has better enemies and better weapons. R2 has Better Coop, better story and better online. But R2 has also lost that special Resistance feeling...It feels more like all other FPS games, even though it IS one of the better ones!..But R1 was kind of uniqe, it had different weapons, enemies and levels compared to others...I miss that in R2.

Well for me I like resistance1 better for story because it made feel like you were in World war 2 fight these Aliens but in resistance 2 I fill like it all about the future and crap.. Plus on mutiplayer it hard to find a ranked game but resstance co-op rules
