You obviously don't know anything about the great soul and funk bands of the '70s that still thrive today and have a major influence on today's black music. It might be a more accurate statement to say Blacks hardly like synth music but even that wouldn't be accurate given the synth wave in R&B in the '80's.

@MrDaMiEnTT I finally figured out where some of this came from LOL 80s Funk mixed with new wave. MIDNIGHT STAR's "Operator" and throw in a bit of new wave disco (see "Look Of Love" by ABC), then throw in some bass from Laid Back's "White Horse" LOL

I was a teen in the early 80s and this sounds like a lot of the music I grew up with. It's like a combo of new wave, r&b, and disco. The closest band I could think of is ABC, but ABC is not as funky as this band.
