  • Im very fanatical with console-songs I like and dont become often impressed by an arrangement.

But this isnt so bad. ;-3 Very cool!

  • Cronna cross! xD

  • you have to relax :) your hand looks really stiff.

  • If I heard someone playing this in the background I would've been immediately drawn to it lol

  • Best¬

    Are u come from england?

  • @SiMoNRoSeCHEN Thanks!

And no, I live in Kentucky, U.S.A.

  • Very nice! =)

  • Thanks! :)

  • hello nario......^^

i hope you can play another song from chrono cross the tittle is "radical dreamers".....

by the way i really like your version of "time`s scar"....^^

    thanks for sharing it!

  • Oh my gosh, I LOVE that song!!! I don't know if I'll get around to making my own rendition of it or not, but if I do then I promise I'll let you know about it. Pinky promise and all. :)

  • wow i love your version!!!

    nice play buddy....^^

    keep up the good work....

  • Thanks eater! I'm glad you liked it!

  • NARIOOOO

Kickin' ass and takin' names. Love your piano playing; make more arrangements :D

  • Thanks!

I'll make more arrangements in the future, I promise... it's just a matter of when. ;)

  • This was pretty nice. It;s too bad the piano was really, really off-key.

  • You mean out of tune, right?

  • O_O

  • Actually, the notes are in key, but it's not the same as the original, for it is my rendition. Thank you for the compliments nonetheless and thank you for noticing the differences between my version and Yasunori Mitsuda's version.

  • It's pretty good, but I think it needs a bit more movement :s (since it's a really moved song), still, it's good :3.

  • What kind of movement are you looking for? I just wanted to make a tribute to the great Yasunori Mitsuda by playing a song of his in my own style; that's partially why it's called an arrangement.

One thing to keep in mind is that I am not a great pianist; I can only play so much on the piano before I start to mess up a lot.

Still, despite my inability to play how you wanted me to, I am thankful to receive a compliment from you. Thanks.

  • Wow wow wow, no need for getting upset there :s. That's just my own opinion. What I meant by "movement" was that I found some parts became a bit repetitive. I understand what you mean, and you don't need to be a "great pianist" to play well (As I mentioned before, I liked the piece, and you have potential) but I thought this would be of use to you, as in, constructive criticism. In no way am I insulting or anything similar. Just trying to help, so no need to get uptight, alright? O_O

  • I'm sorry that you thought I was uptight; I was actually just asking questions and trying to cover every possible meaning.

And yes, I actually agree that the song's a little repetitive, mainly towards the last third of the song. The main focus, however, was supposed to be the original melodies that popped in there (some played weren't in the original), but I'm sure that the bass made it seem too simple.

  • I suppose another problem is my inability to compose traditionally. I may have been playing the song on a piano, but the way I play is very reminiscent of the compositions from old-school video games (think of the simplicity from NES games).

In other words: my repetitive playing can be forgiven due to my inspiration of old-school video game music.

Even so, I thank you for your constructive criticism and for liking my playing, and I'm sorry that you thought I was slightly freaking out.

  • Ah, alrighty then. Either way keep it up! As I mentioned before, you have potential, and you have the main key, which is inspiration, so keep at it ;D. And sorry for any misunderstandings lol

  • Hey Nick, this is Jesse.

    YEAH!!!!

This is the coolest dude alive people!

Oh and he destroys the piano, the computer (with composing), and our minds when he amazes us all!

    Nick, I'm impressed everytime.

  • <3 Thanks Jesse.

  • I don't know... I liked Chrono Cross in every way more than Chrono Trigger except for gameplay, and that includes its story and music. However, I feel as though Chrono Cross' gameplay was so convoluted that made Chrono Trigger's simple gameplay the better game, which is kind of unbalanced, but at least it's fun.

So, yeah, Chrono Cross is better as musical narrative than a game. Chrono Cross is still pretty awesome at what it does, though.

  • chrono cross ost for eternity. always good to see you people playing chrono cross. like the rubber bands.

  • Thanks on all accounts! I appreciate your Chrono Cross love.

Long live Chrono Cross! (I still like Chrono Trigger more. haha)

  • true. true. chrono trigger better story, gameplay, and theory. but chrono cross better music and theme.

  • i lied..

  • thanks for killing a good song

  • Thanks for not explaining yourself. How did I kill this song? I'd like to know. Thanks.

  • oh sorry.. i meant killing as in; it sounded good. sorry it came out wrong..

  • Oh! Thanks for explaining yourself! :D

And thank you for the compliment! ^_^ I very much appreciate it.

  • LMAO XDDD WRONG CHOICE OF WORDS XD

  • are there people playing pool in the background? or is that a vending machine?

i feel your pain bro, public pianos have their disadvantages

    nice job tho

    -nohbody

  • Actually, it's both. XD Mainly a pool table and balls smacking into other balls.

    Yes, those kinds of balls.

    Uh.

  • yeah i got banned from ocr use your widespread influence to unban me plx

but i guess gay balls smacking each other would be considered amient to some degree

  • You must've done something to deserve being banned. That's no easy feat right there. :P

  • its gotten easier trust me. eh only a week left

  • you need a haircut

  • I agree! hahaha! I've been thinking about getting one for a couple of weeks now. Jeez, I'm lazy.

  • Wrong. You need to grow your hair out more. Awesome arrangement by the way.

  • too many gay bracelets

    other than that it's great

  • :( They're not gay. My friends gave them to me and my act of constantly wearing them is a sign that I stick with my friends and I stay true to them. Not to mention I'm very thankful for the Xbox 360 bracelet.

I really hope your judgment was a joke. :P

  • nario have i ever been serious

  • Heh, not too often. I will say that you have, indeed, been serious when we talk on AIM, but you do joke a bit. :)

I'm sorry for taking offense to your "gay" remark.

  • Battlerager, Stemage, and The Otaku: Thanks! :D

Taking requests for playing music is a little more difficult, but I'm up for a challenge when I have time... which is almost never. XD

  • Oh wow, that was pretty damn great.

Even if I don't know the source tune :P

  • Well done!

  • That was beautiful. :) Very well done.

It's been awesome seeing (hearing?) you improve for the past couple years. If you have time for it, you should upload more live piano playings. And take requests. Namely from me. ;)
