  • How did you make that?! Like was that one uh, project or were they separate.... If it was one it did all that by one push of your finger! Amazing anyway...

  • That must have been a really big room...

  • @jdshark000 It was actually 20 x 30 feet ...

  • wow i guess you'll be glad when you have your mansion in hawaii... then you get all the space you want... maybe

  • @laurikadge Thanks, lauri--I know maybe 5 words of Russian. Thank heaven's there's Google language tools for my reply...

Это требует много терпения, чтобы сделать эти гаджеты...

  • @lunatim thanx google translator :))

  • @MrGloBuSS и не только терпения, но и фантазии!

  • you have a really really big room

  • @pakkastudios Thanks, pakka!

  • that was /really/ cool.

  • @UnitedWeFallTogether Thanks, United! I have more recent videos that are even better...

  • One of these days, I'm gonna try out that herringbone technique. I just hope I can get enough popsicle sticks

  • @ahbrando You can do the herringbone technique with playing cards, strips of stiff paper, or just about any stick-like material

  • @lunatim btw, this is kiddo3027's new account.

  • @lunatim How high should the suspensions be for the herringbone line

  • @ahbrando Ideally, the supports should be slightly taller than the sticks...

  • wow you got a huge house!

  • @elumint Actually, the space I used was pretty small--it just looks big through the magic of montage :)

  • awesome video

  • @BonJoviFan96 Thanks, BJF!

  • wow

  • @BonJoviFan96 Thanks, BJF!

  • ma chi ripulisce?scherzo,è fantastico

  • @angheia Grazie, angheia!

  • :O

Wow. Was all of that one shot, or were there separate shots edited together? Amazing either way...

  • @moonstar112 Glad you enjoyed it, moonstar! I had to edit this together as my work space was pretty small (15 x 25 feet/5 x 8 m). I'd need a space of a small arena to make a six-minute gadget...

  • EPIC

  • @randomMW2crap Thanks, random!

  • Absolutely Amazing! :D

  • @xBlackOpMontages Glad you enjoyed it, BOM!

  • wow!!! that is aawwssoommee!!!!!!

  • @220man Glad ya enjoyed it, 220!

  • Free time much?

    great vid

  • @bloodandguts5 Glad ya enjoyed the video! I don't have any more free time, I just don't watch any television...

  • those stickbomb sections really move FAST!!

  • @scyduckzard2007 The fastest I've measured was 210 feet or 65 meters per second...

  • @lunatim still, pretty dang fast

  • lol at 2:45 where the face pops up.

  • @cody4camp That's Lunatim's Imp...

  • Amazing! how long did this take to build??

  • @SuperBrytt Thanks, Super! This took me two weeks to make...

  • @lunatim What would you do if one of these sequences of dominos didn't work as planed on tape? Try to stop it and rebuild the whole thing? :o

  • @SuperBrytt I had to do this in sections, so it's no big deal if one segment didn't work...

  • @lunatim how long did it take to clean up? :D

  • @PeanutpwnXD Surprisingly, not long at all, much shorter than set-up. It's actually enjoyable as I get to experiment with ways of speeding up clean-up time. I can clean up a world-record stick bomb and sort the sticks by color in under 1/2 hour...

  • that was cool

  • @coldeyy Thanks, coldeyy!

  • The best thing to happen in New York Mills ever.

  • @brookchelmo Thanks, brook!

  • have fun cleaning after?

  • THAT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!

  • @ScoopTheNaturalForce Glad ya enjoyed it, Scoop! I have a lot more videos like this...

  • cool

  • @UtU133 Thanks, UtU!

  • Nice Video but i think it need more effects.. you can get nice video effects plugins and addons from aries-films file section. Just google for Aries-Films man.. pc

  • @freeeeeemusic Thanks, free! I'll keep that in mind...

  • Ya know, I've been thinking, and thinking, and thinking, and I just can't figure out why you only have 1,500 subs and most of your videos only get a couple thousand views. :(

  • hey your vids are amazing one thing where did you get the coloured lollypop sticks

  • Thanks, kevin! I colored the sticks myself with acrylic paint...

  • @lunatim and where did you get those small plastic poles for balancinh the lollypop sticks on in your other videos like frenetic kenetics

  • Those were a special order from a plastics company...

  • Great acoustics in that room. I really like the sounds it makes.

  • Agreed. That's why I don't drown out the sound of my kinetic gadgets with really loud music. They kinda sorta create their own 'music' of sorts...

  • omg omg omg omomg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg g omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg u are the BEST!!!!

  • Glad you enjoyed it, Rip!

  • Thanks, Astrid!

  • thanks lunatim. this version is sooo much better, it's like i'm watching it for the first time haha.

  • It's a lot more enjoyable when people can actually see things ;)

  • Bravo...Bravo keep up the great work!

  • Thanks, wiz!

    Great video, Lunatim.

  • Thanks for the compliment, Nlangkirby!

  • Where did you get all the domino "rally" pieces from?

  • I e-mailed Pressman Toys a few years ago, and they sold me what few remaining bags of old Domino Rally dominoes they had.

  • OMG dat waz so awesome

  • Thanks, f254198!

  • AMAZING 1,000,000,000,000,000/5 all that from 1 push outstanding

  • Hi lunatim!

    It' s really amazing!

I wonder how much time did it take to make?

    CONGRATULATIONS!

  • Thanks for the compliment, misal! This took me two weeks of working evenings...

  • woooohoooo lol....

  • Whoo, hoo!

  • you must have a huge house! nice job! that was CrAzY!

  • Thanks, jwdeljr! Would you believe the studio space was only 20x30 feet?

  • Wow! That was certifiably insane. Loved the parts with flipbook animation - Fred Ott's sneeze!! Just amazing.

  • Thanks, LordFancourt! BTW, I'm very impressed that you identified the particular animation frames in question--I think it's also known as the Edison Kinetoscopic Record of a Sneeze or something like that. Whoo, hoo!

  • Its better every time i watch it!

  • Thanks, Troy!

  • wow. awesome. Favorite part: 3..2..1..BOOM

also the part with the chain of (stick bombs?) that 'explode' and move really fast.. thats awesome.

  • Glad ya enjoyed it, Kruptok!

  • holy shizzle this musta taken you forever to build for only 6:21 minutes of fun

  • Thanks, StickPeople! This only took me two weeks' worth of evenings to complete...

  • That was the most amazing thing I have ever seen in my life.

  • Glad you enjoyed it, cofusm!

  • OMG You sir are a genius XD. Amazing!!!

  • Thanks, ORA!

  • that was the best thing i have ever seen and i thought it was going to be something simple because 6 minutes i thought would be way to long but that was fantastic. very nice job i think you could get somewhere with your domino skills.

havnt been so amused by something like this in a while. very nice!!!

    :)

  • Thanks for the compliments, butterfry! I did establish a kinda/sorta career with my kinetic art, but--like so many artists--I have to work a day job as well...

  • WOW this is amazing!!!!!! it is done to the last detail. and its funny all the way, i rated 5 stars

  • Glad ya liked it, kasper!

  • 5:35 explosie sticks

    very good work

  • Thanks, atoombom!

  • whoa!!! them popsicle stix explode!!!!!!!!!! do they really go that fast?!? * "pow" *

  • Yup, those are stick bombs. The tongue-depressor bombs go about 10m/30ft per second, while the popsicle-stick bombs go well over 40m/120ft per second...

  • omg those are all of my favorite things ive ever tried with kinetic art times ten and put together, bravo(clap clap clap)

  • Thanks, Rubix!

  • from 4:41 to 5:17 is just boring, but at the end of it, it actually lands almost exactly at the right spot. I have no idea how you made it land right there, nor do I want to know, because it would probably blow my mind into tiny chunks of pink matter. Congratulations on being one of the coolest people on youtube. Woohoo!

  • Thanks for the compliment, Saurai! What happened was that I realized I put waaay too much of the waxed-paper strip on the table and thought that it would seize up. However, the paper somehow kept falling, so I kept filming and decided to keep that segment. At the end, the waxed paper was actually tied to the first stick of the herringbone chain, but the thread was too thin to show up on camera. That's the mundane truth--nothing that will cause you to *ahem* blow chunks ;)

  • ...oh. i thought it must have been something simple, but still i couldn't shake the fact that it might be some crazy-long-drawn-out-and-overly-calculated algorithm or something to do with the mass of the paper, et cetera. ...Were these all filmed separately, or do you have a GIANT room?

  • I wish I had an algorithm sophisticated enough to figure out exactly how my gadgets will work because that would prevent a lot of fizzled gadgets.

I had to film the segments separately because the room was only about 20x30 feet and the chances of a six-minute gadget working perfectly from start to finish are about a zillion to one...

  • ........WHAT HAVE I JUST SEEN?!?!?!?

  • ...something that will hopefully cause you to check out my other YouTube videos ;)

  • omg u r correct!

  • No offense but you just redefined the word nerd. :P

  • I actually have a very bohemian lifestyle, and creating kinetic gadgets is a lot cooler than vegetating in front of the TV or playing WoW for the zillionth time...

  • i have the same life :)

  • I guess your right, sorry :(

  • No prob, whatitdoinc...

  • great!!

  • 3:24 That must have taken a long time to do

  • The exploding sticks was crazy shit ! Your very patient and talented

  • Thanks, banana!

  • that was the most amazing thing i have ever seen, and not just on the internet, how the hell did u get those glasses to play that tune

  • Glad ya liked it, toad! The musical glasses are called a Pegophone, and are weights on a 'herringbone' structure tied to metal washers. When the weights fall, the metal washers ping the glasses, which play different notes depending on water height. I have an improved version in Edifice Wrecks...

  • ahhh i see how injeanios, (sorry bad speller) some may say u have 2 much time, i say people that say that have no imagunation and have a very boring life, nice job, world record?

  • No world records with this. I do claim an unofficial world record for stick bombs, though. BTW, I think it's silly for people who accuse me of wasting my time doing this--the only justification I really need is that it gives me and others a lot of pleasure to watch. Better to actually do something, no matter how silly it may seem, than to sit on one's butt and criticize others...

  • quite right

  • good job! i think that yours is much better than the original [:

  • Thanks for the compliments, folks!

  • Epic...

  • whats making the things fall at 4 13 to 4 27?

  • that must have taken a long time to clean up...:P..great job with the vid

  • Woo,hoo!

  • it's nice

  • That was so suspenseful... at times I was hoping that it would not stop. That POP! part was amazing. It was like a story. I couldn't not look.

It's funny how much fun it is to see things fall apart. It feels almost mischievous. LOL

  • holy crap this is AMAZING!!!!! =D
