  • still 16 valve come on chevrolet!

  • This man (Ed) has just become my fav designer... I'm in love with the Camaro!!!! I actually get butterflies in my tummy when I see one... I'm luvin' it!

  • i rented this car for 4 days and all i can say is that gm might very well be the biggest POS company in the free world, if they can't get it right now, they never will.

  • @rrraiden lol... you keep posting the same comment on every Camaro video.

  • @rrraiden I call bullshit. If you'd really driven this car, you'd have nothing negative to say. Sound like a jaded fanboy to me.

  • the camaro is hidden

  • I could get a brand new Porsche as a gift, and wouldn't like it as much as getting a new Camaro.

  • I would get a brand new Porsche as a gift and immediately sell it or trade it for a new Camaro lol

  • Are you sure you'd rather have a Camaro over a Carrera GT?

  • Yes, yes I am.

  • With all dues respect to Camaro I can't agree with that,LOL.

  • @thedub007 i would love the porsche more than a camaro. you haven't driven or been in one. my dads 05 911 C4S makes at least 50 hp less and is still faster, sounds BETTER, and is better

  • @Ltndoom

Porsche: The ultimate cars for douche bags.

  • He messed up they should have gone retro. It looks way better than the modern

  • I have never wanted a car more than this one.

  • people have been saving up for this historic moment for nearly five years and now its hear. thank god for GM!

  • @150peacemaker It's kind of sad that it took GM Holden Australia to do the development on what is the quintessential American muscle car. Holden designed a ball tearer, but Chevrolet's input consisted of instructions about how it looked sounded and drove, then they were handed the blueprints. The Pontiac G8, Pontiac GTO and the 2011 Chevy "police Caprice" are all Australian designs. Holden's engineers won't fail them but they should have done it themselves.

  • 7:01 is what I'm talking about!

  • Oh Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 5:58 is excellent; that V6 rocks!

  • Comment removed

  • euro tuner!

  • "feels good. has lots of body roll" lol wtf?

  • It's too F'n tall! Looks like a sedan! That's where all that crap body roll is coming from.

  • Jr. was driving the base model V6. The SS version has different suspension (FE3)

  • @ndyt They have to have a certain amount of "softness." The US market is used to cars with slightly mushy suspension in just about anything. If they left Holden alone to do the suspension work, it would be sharper

  • @ndyt Have you any idea jus thow many arguments were started about that body height? It's not the height that's the problem, it's Chevrolet softening the suspension. It sits on a shortened Holden Commodore floorpan, aka Pontiac G8. The roof height was a safety issue. Commodores don't do body roll like that because they have stiffer suspension.

  • Lower the ROOF......

  • lower the roof

  • lol

  • It's already low enough

  • chrysler is dodge? he said chrylser with its dodge chhlener? at 400 to 406

  • Dodge is owned by the Chrysler Company. kinda like how Cadillac is owned by GM.

  • It needs glas packs and a 4bbl carb

  • @meyersd66 If it were born in 1969, but can you imagine the kind of stink that would cause these days?

  • Freakin awesome, dude!!! If only GM was smart enough to make a 4-door sedan. I know it may sound ugly but it looked badass when I drew one out on paper.

DO THE SAME FOR THE FIREBIRD TRANS AM (if they bring it back)!!!!

  • If GM survives, there a chance that the new Impala will basically be a 4 door Camaro. But right now, that's the G8's job. they have the same platform and architecture.

  • @eldo59 They do build good sedans, but said sedans come out of Australia. Rebadged Holden Commodores, Statesmans and Caprices, wearing various badges in the GM empire

  • @eldo59 GM USA doesn't but GM Holden does. The Australian wing of GM were entrusted with the job of developing the Camaro. They built the Pontiac GTO and G8, rebadged versions of the Holden Monaro and Commodore respectively. The coupe market in Australia is unpredictable, which is why most Australian muscle cars are sedans.

  • The Dow and S&P 500 fall more than 7% as the Crash of 2008 crushes stocks in a wild last hour of trading; the Nasdaq drops 5.5%. General Motors falls nearly a third on fears it won't survive. Ha HA Ha! LMFAO

  • I would think you can get rid of most of the body roll without ruining the ride. American car makers just seem to struggle when it comes to making a good all around balanced sports car. Witch is prolly why they went to holden for the cars platform. If you notice all of Americas good handling sports cars are rarely and all American effort, The new Camaro is a holden, the new GTO was a holden, the chassis and suspension of the Ford GT was setup by Lotus. You get the idea..

  • The doco also fails to state that this Camaro is based on the VE Commodore platform. (An Australian Family Car!!).

  • I agree with lilpat, Clarkson would be a MUCH bigger help than Jr. "The steering feels real good its got a lot of body roll." lol idk if he was just running his sentences together or what but a lot of body roll in a car like that is not what you want. GM definitely got the styling right, it looks brilliant. But the answer is in the drive, and i personally like a car that's as good at cornering as it is good at straight line acceleration. hopefully it'll be as good to drive as the CTS-V

  • Last thing Jr. wants to do is is talk bad about his employers new car in front of CNBC. I think Jr. was accidentally thinking out loud. After he says "It's got a lotta body roll" he realizes "oh shit, did I say that out loud?" and preceededs to say. "... a little bit of body roll,,, not really necessary..." LOL nice catch TJ :-)

  • if I can give an a+ to GM it would have to go to Ed Welbourne, he is an awesome guy who first brought back the CTS and CTS-V to life, he has the right stuff now the rest of gm needs to get with it or loose more business.

  • they need to make it louder

  • @Thyrion07 Initial prototypes would have to comply to Australian design rules: "At 60km/h (37mph) drive by, noise may not exceed 92 decibels." to put that into perspective, the average car alarm would be approximately 100 decibels, normal conversation about 25

  • @Mechknight73 ahh i see i see

  • @Thyrion07 If Chevrolet had said "we want it REALLY loud," Holden would have done that in the production version. For some reason, Chevrolet wants to do the "warm, fuzzy and responsible" approach on the V6s. Either that, or they're worried it might mess with the Corvette market

  • nice car

  • Now thats a real muscle car!

  • lots of body roll, not really necessary.... dddduuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

  • Body roll is easy to get rid of. The factory wants to make cars nice and plush so dudes don't complain about ride quality. Aftermarket suspension components are already available in Australia!

  • MUSTANG!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WTF does Dale know about cars? All he does is go in a circle.

  • Jeremy Clarkson and Tsuchiya Keiichi would help them good XD

  • when will it come out?..what month??

  • they deff need to work on the exhaust! needs factory shorty headers . (V8)

  • The wait is almost over! Then again I want the V8 so I may be waiting even longer! Hurry ED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Glad GM took their time with the car. Took a little longer, but looks like the wait is gonna pay off. The production car looks to surpass even the Conceptual expectations. Can't wait to get mine...

  • @Revo21384 About 90% of the wait would be for styling. Holden had already perfected the chassis and floorpan for this car in the VE Commodore, a family sedan in most places, and was a Pontiac G8 in America. The Camaro sits on a shortened version, easily geared for left and right hand drive

  • @Mechknight73 90% hardly seems realistic, but perhaps 70% yes. It's true the chassis/V6 drivetrain required very little work thanks to Holden and the CTS, but new length/weight ratios etc would require some specific adjustments, and let's not forget the two separate powertrains that went into the SS. GM also worked very hard to sophisticate the ride/interior of the car. It honestly feels like a Lexus inside, until you romp on the gas and carve into a sharp corner. So like I said, worth the wait

  • LOL people honkin at his 69.

    Gotta love old school muscle.

  • It will be cool if they do an INDY pace car (white/orange stripes only), ZL-1 'copo' type car no emblems, radio or accessories at 3200lbs w/a blown ZR1 lump and regular brakes. Z28 w/side oiler LS7, 6 speed, 6 pot Brembos and HUD w/ G meter.

  • doesnt dale jr drive for toyota now??

  • never mind he drives for chevy
