My question is just where is all this money coming from that Obama is handing out in the form or stimulus? Us the taxpayers right? So who do you think is going to have to pay up on all of it? Us the taxpayers. Obama and our democrats have done more damage to this country economically and as a nation than any other two president put together. This guy has lied to us from day one and has the largest socialist plan which he wants to put into action. Heavewn help out children
Impeached for what? Saving us from a depression? Getting us in the right direction in Afghanistan? trying to regulate banks? get you head out of your rear, this man is terrific, he has only been in office one year, as you point out it took eight years for Bush to royally screw it up. Bush tanked to 29%, Obama hasn't tanked his approval is still around 50%, hardly tanking

Bush is the WORST PRESIDENT IN U.S. HISTORY. His legacy will be the stuff of both polical horror movies AND comedy.
George W. Bush is not my president. I don't believe he ever won the presidency legitimately in the 2000 election, after LOSING the popular vote to Al Gore by over half a million votes. His whole administration has been one of the most illegitimate and illegal in our nations history. This nation never should have had to suffer through one term of his incompetence and corruption, let alone two. The destruction and division he has caused our country will take years to repair.
Cenk, these ignorant BRAINWASHED fuckers have one excuse for why they are republicans. Somewhere in their twisted peanut brain they beleive America is safe from terror since Bush did his buisness in Iraq. They think they have created a safer world to live in. They are completely hopeless. I don't believe the 9/11 commission report. Just let me see ONE VIDEO of the plane crashing into the pentagon and I will change my opinion. You are all BRAINWASHED SHEEP AND NOW CHENEY HAS STOLEN ALL YOUR MONEY
You're right, jumar1281. Except remember, Bush and his cronies keep saying that they kept America safe. "Noone has attacked us HERE." Nice caveat. Facts show that because of Bush's war on Iraq, terrorism ABROAD has exploded in number and scope. Al Quaeda has grown and spawned, attacking multiple countries, and killed thousands of innocents. Bush has therefore fueled the growth of terrorism and chaos around the world.
Talk about failure... You are right, America is not safe, nor is the world.
this american idea of suffering the pain of oppression in hope of becoming the oppressor themselves some day is probably one of the most misanthropic demagogic concoctions ever conceived, the slaves play along dreaming the "american dream" of being the masters some day, it suggests and reinforces the worst on both sides
I completely agree with you. We did vote for him, but now the truth finally seems to be coming out about how the election was rigged, with Fox news and not counting the african american vote in Florida. Even still we as a nation had the choice to Impeach Bush/Cheney for repeatedly breaking the laws of the constitution, but nothing ever happened. You're right, we have nobody to blame but ourselves
what I can't recollect is that Bush gives us stimulus checks, and then blames the 450 billion dollar defecit on the stimulus packages. Bush is a fuckin TOOL.
Lincoln was the first to exploit the powers of the Executive branch
Lincoln is at the very nadir of the collapse of the USA -- His laws are the very thing that allowed people like Hoover, FDR, and many others to turn the Federal Government away from the limited powers invoked under the Constitution!
I believe if not assassinated he would have relinquished his wartime authority. He was shot so soon after the Civil War ended, who knows what he would have done for the country.
The problem that I have is the double standards REPIGZ have towards spending on Corporations & Private Contractors and the foreign policy, especially with AIPAC and Israel and the military industrial complex. Using religion to garner votes, the BS War on Drugs. Illegal Immigration, Eliminating Regulations on Energy, Fuel and Big Oil. Manipulating the Courts then crying foul and activist judges. Trying to claim that they're states rights advocates. ect.
As far as the idea that lower taxes for the rich generates more revenue, why the hell are we in another recession if it works so well? The "trickle-down" economic theory has been proven wrong over and over, the people who spout that rhetoric don't even believe it, they just want lower taxes for themselves, yet idiots like you continue to get scammed and we all have to suffer for your incompetence.
Also, you throw out the "war on the middle class" because of one statistic on homelessness that may or may not be true, that's just ridiculous when you look at how he's screwed the middle class by having the average family pay over $16,000 and counting for the war as well as his neglect for the victims of hurricane katrina. We're in another economic recession and the president could give 2 shits since he'll get paid out the ass by the corporations who he works while we pick up the bill.
timbos, You would have to be a fool to think that giving lower taxes to the rich really generates more revenue and apparently you are. Of course they make up 40% of the budget, they're ridiculously wealthy and should pay more taxes because a lot of them made their money on the backs of taxpayers through corporate subsidies, the war, lobbying, etc.
I support lower taxes on the rich because I want to generate more revenue in the budget. Since we have been cutting taxes on the rich we have been collecting more money from them and now 40% of the budget comes from the top 1% of wage earners.
I'll agree with you that the current batch of republicans that lost in 2006 deserved to lose because they didn't hold down the budget but the current democratic congress has sent the budget skyrocketting and now it is much worse than when it was under the republican party control. Now it is impossible for democrats to be fiscally responsible because they know that all they have to do is raise taxes to fix any budget shortfall. That does not encourage anyone to cut spending when needed.
You said you quit being a republican but I think you were never a republican to start with because people who complain about the lack of "equality" probably tend to be more socialist and that is democrats.
the republican party is in fact and embarasment to our nation but the democrats also failed in prosessing a bill to impech Him so both partys are to blame. this is coming from a life long democrat.
Bush has blown every company that he ever led. Now he has has left the US screwed.
490 Billion deficit doesn't even include the Fannie May guarantee if Fanni May fails.
BTW Bush has bought 100 of Thousands of Acres in Paraguay. Yes, it is indeed the same country that used to take Nazis War Criminals from being found out.
It certainly hasn't been a failure, They wanted to start a war. Success! They wanted to destroy the constitution. Success! They wanted to help their family companies and friends get richer. Success! They were never about looking after America.

"The Bush Administration Has Been A Miserable Failure"? Just wait till this dip shit Obama gets in office. You will be crying for George to come back.
Yeah right, and you're one to call somebody a dip shit. What can Obama do to even come close to matching Bush as a dip shit? Quadruple the cost of gas? Increase our debt by $4 Trillion? Allow the country to get attacked under his watch? Start a war that has nothing to do with that attack and kill hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians? Continue to make the US the laughingstock of international relations? 2 economic recessions in one presidency?!? And on and on and on...Obama in 2008!!
I agree with johnnybravo, there's no doubt in my mind that Bush has been an atrocious and probably worst president in US history, but only with the help of such weak-minded Democrats would he even have the opportunity to fuck up our country like he has. The Democratic Party is a complete embarrassment as far as standing up to the Republicans. As Cenk has mentioned numerous times before, the Republicans are extremely unpopular, yet the Democrats don't have the balls to fully take advantage.
George Bush is the worst President in American history not because bad things happened during his Presidency.
George Bush is the worst President in American history because he failed to prevent bad things that were preventable; he failed to prepare for bad things that were foreseeable; he failed to respond when bad things happened; and his actions caused bad things to happen that did not need to happen.
Why are people still defending Bush? Look at all the damage he's done! If you support Bush or any Republican, you're either rich and/or stupid. Plain and simple.
People say that the republicans dont know what they are doing, but lets be real. THEY DO KNOW! Im just wondering why did they bring America to its knees. THERE IS A SECRET! One day it will come out.
Republicans had their time in office and nearly destroyed this country. Economy in worst shape in 60 yrs, deficit highest EVER, US debt highest EVER, inflation on the rise bigtime, foreclosures at an all time high, bankruptcies highest since the depression, Osama lounges in Afgh while we kill and die in Iraq(what was that about?), housing industry in the tank, gas at all time high by far.
Republicans are INCOMPETENT and it's no longer debatable. The proof is in. FACT NO SPIN
The only reason I consider myself even close to the Republicans is cause of Ron Paul. If it weren't for Paul, I would be a Libertarian instead of a RP Republican.
What is sad is that the rich are still hiding money in offshore accounts. and in other countries. So if the GOP are not fiscally responsible, they are the anti-party. Anti-immigrant, gays, minorities, poor...and anti-democratic....What a Party
They moved from a party of fiscal responsibility/Social moderation in the 60's,to a party of Hate, Religious fanaticism, Lies, intolerance, money hungry, racist, corporate dominance, tax hiding, offshore banking, anti American workers, Fascist, contempt for the constitution and just plain black hearted. They are killing America and selling her body parts for cold cash to stuff into their greedy pockets
Republicans always say Democrats tax and spend, well republicans get away with not taxing and just keep spending and adding to the debt... how does that work? And I agree with all that he said, I'm a former republican too.
GLDDRACO: Ron Paul is like that crazy uncle that is probably right 30% of the time and against common knowledge. The problem is that he is wrong 70% of the time and knee deep in BS.
the Republicans have been so negligent and so reckless with our treasury, its mind boggling!! Wtf..I have no respect for people if they are still republican at this point!!!
Cenk, here's an idea. On one of the blue screens (in the background), why don't you put this on it, until the elections are over:
"$9,500,000,000,000.00"
And, I BET you, your future (political) guests will be more thoughtful, when interviewed. Like you always say, Cenk, "I'm just trying to help a brother out." Have I? "Of courrrrrrse!"
Some of these people are pathological. They love to fool people. Just like those televangelist. Fool you into buying what they're selling. The rest of them blindly comply cos they think somehow this is how to belong, and end up devious pathologicals themselves.

I cannot add to this one. Very good analogy.

Republicans always say Democrats tax and spend, well republicans get away with not taxing and just keep spending and adding to the debt... how does that work? And I agree with all that he said, I'm a former republican too.
bungerman1000 3 years ago 4

He didn't mention Ron Paul as a reasonable, sane Republican. He is against the war and the out of control spending caused by his party.
onedarkflame85 3 years ago 2
You're claiming the vagina doctor as reasonable and sane. Toot toot.

Ron Paul sane?! LOL
glddraco 3 years ago
GLDDRACO: Ron Paul is like that crazy uncle that is probably right 30% of the time and against common knowledge. The problem is that he is wrong 70% of the time and knee deep in BS.
snarkwaupaca 3 years ago
Amen. Why do people always god-worship him? He was probably allowed to go out there as a way to try and get more votes for Republicans

the Republicans have been so negligent and so reckless with our treasury, its mind boggling!!

:-)

As a matter of fact, hit ALL of your guests with the number. Maybe, we might ALL need that lesson.

Some of these people are pathological. They love to fool people. Just like those televangelist. Fool you into buying what they're selling. The rest of them blindly comply cos they think somehow this is how to belong, and end up devious pathologicals themselves.
athews1976 3 years ago
That prooves it. Dick Cheney is a Sith Lord. Then again, I'd have more trouble trying to control a piece of cheese than the mind of Governor Bush

I wish that an Independant Party would challenge the Republicans. Maybe we can witness some Political Evolution and see the Republicans die out due to Survival of the Fittest.
GOP = Geriatric Oil People
swaggajee 3 years ago 6
You want to know why "deficits don't matter"?
The only agenda the Bush Administration had was making the oil and war companies mega-rich. Balancing the budget wasn't even on their fucking minds.

I thought about it a long time ago and I knew that Bush and the Republicans were liars and thieves (and incompotent idiots) before 2000.

Agree! Nancy Pelosi said exactly that, and it's about the only sensible thing she's said as Speaker.
GrownupPhan 3 years ago 5
Nancy Pelosi has done Nothing except talk! She and Congress give that idiot blank checks all the time. They are all guilty in ruining this country.
