  • when it first opened it looked like a reserve....

  • My parachute i have made is not inflating properly. please could you make any suggestions to what might be the problem

    thnx

  • a swiss flag!?yay!

  • a norwegian flag!? yay!

  • Ya, jeg elsker dette landet! ;-)

  • why are comes the parachute not fast out the container? in 0:46 pulls the pilot chute and the parachute comes not out. Malfunction with lucky ?

  • Exactely: malfunction with a lot of luck! There were some with less luck!...

  • But it look like you throw out first the pilot chute to stabilice the dummy and then you pull main chute.

  • just pure luck that time. The pilot chute is made to pull the main chute. The dummy is stabilized by the arched shape of its body.

  • maybe the bookle (handle) twisted with pilot chute bridle. ?

  • in 0:49 it was a round parachute!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yes my friend. I use both, depending on the conditions, the kind of jump, etc... ;-)

  • first it was a round parachute

  • hei thegibolin

i try to make a pilot chute and it dont works. can you say me how i can make one?

  • Show me what you have done already...

  • i've made a video about my pilot chutes but the chutes will not nice open. then i have make a line in the middle and it work better

  • Bellissimo!!! (Very beautiful!!!)

  • Grazie!

  • Sure, why not?! Gimme your mail...

  • A powerful spring could give enough power to separate the seat + pilot from the aircraft without damaging the rear of th plane. Then use a deployment system like Mini-Gibolin: a kind you can control and open at the altitude you like. The regular ejection seat system should be simplified for sure, if you don't want to damage your plane. By the way, what size of dummy are we talking about?

  • Ok, now that is just cool. I usually go cruising around at 200+ on the weekends, but now I want to do an ejection seat, with an r/c pilot. I do have a yellow aircraft twin f-18, just figuring out how to save the canopy is a tricky thing. hehe

  • One good option would be to have a static line system attaching the seat to the aircraft, deploying the chute automatically. Do you want the pilot leaving the seat as well? That would make things a little more complicated... Remember: the more simple, the better it'll work.

  • Truly fantastic video. Could you tell me you built the miniature ram-air parachute? I've been trying to build one for ages.

  • Sure... Tell me a bit more about you and we'll see...

  • what is wingspamm? i have PC-6 too 3.2m wingspamm

  • I don't know, sorry. I've built the RC-skydiver, not the Pilatus Porter...

  • Awesome!!!

  • Dang boy!! That's a sweet ass airplane you got there!

  • Thanks for the great post. Please post some more. The Pilatus 6 is one of my all time favourites. Could you give some details of the aircraft such as size, scratch built or kit etc?

  • Don't know much in details (I've built the skydiver, not the plane). But you can imagine the size watching while my friend stands beside the model: it's huge! It's a pre-built kit you can get for approx a 1000 Euros...

  • I was thinking maybe create an actual seat, cut a rocket motor into a 1/3, and it pushes the seat up via copper pipe. Canopy would and seat would be attached by the wire, so during ejection, both are save. But as soon as rocket burst is over, pilot then separates from the seat automatically. Seriously complex. hehe The big question is: Do I want to chop into a $14,000 aircraft and possibly blow the front half of the plane off by accident. eek.

  • Freaking sweet!
