oh wow. i never ever thought i would hear this theme tune again. as kids we used to march to this when we set off to play in the local forest. yes forest. mind you it was pretty small but they have built a large multiplex and several large shopping malls there recently. Dont tell me computer games replaced our freedom way back then. God Bless you for posting this. As I watch this the memories are flooding back . Thank you. Why is this not available to buy anywhere?
Hi guys!I have a question,I really want to read Ivanhoe and Rob Roy,but I'm confused about this 2,in Wikipedia says that Rob Roy and Ivanhoe are a series! Does Rob Roy and Ivanhoe have a connection with each other?
@fantezie I've never heard of a Rob Roy TV series ... The only connection I know of is that Rob Roy and Ivanhoe were both written by Sir Walter Scott ... Quentin Durward (also written by Walter Scott) had its on TV series, if I remember well ...
Hey, Roger Moore and...Robert Brown?! Brown later became James Bond's boss "M" starting with the LIVING DAYLIGHTS up to LICENSE TO KILL. How about that.
I also remember this in British cinemas in the 60s. As a girl of 15 I had to take my (much) younger brother to the Saturday morning kids matinees to get him out from under my mother's feet and they showed Ivanhoe then. It was only drooling over Roger Moore that made it bearable for me! Ah. Those were the days indeed :)!
Extraordinaria serie de nuestra infancia. El bien sobre el mal era el contenido para los niños y los jovenes de la epoca. Cuanto ha cambiado todo ! Nuestras felicitaciones a tvtestcard por haber subido tan bello recuerdo !

I used to fake sickness every once in a while so I could stay home from school and watch this AND Thiery La Frond- they both came on one after the other M-F in the mornings. Big crush on Ivanhoe...lol!!
How wonderfully rough things were back in the 50s. Could you imagine today any star of any TV series allowing his face to be almost completely obscured by the credits? Did Moore do this before or after his run on Maverick?
OMG - Completely forgot about this until I started rooting around - When I was little used to think that a Knight on a White charger would trot along and whisk me off, but then I grew up lol. Loved this series.
Wow! That's how I started loving horses... I was 4 yrs old. Got my first horse years later but I've never forgotten the images of Ivanhoe riding his white stallion.
The Dutch version was sung by a man I know. Sadly he died. At a high age though. And he kept singing till the end.

Era um dos meus seriados favoritos, assim como os desenhos do Disne e o desenho Jambo e Ruivão que achava os dubladores sensacionais.

@intrepidlikes Sorry to correct you, but Robert Brown's first appearance as "M" was in Octopussy where he once again worked with Roger Moore.
