Stress Factor`s Women`s Self Defense class introduction. In this video we explain a few key differences in the male and female bodies when it comes to fighting and we go over some of the primary tools and basic rules ...
@ApprenticeOfAnubis I don't think there's anyone (with a brain) who doesn't take Hillary Clinton seriously. Or Madeleine Albright, or Maggie Thatcher, Or..........
learnsome proper martial arts - Not sport or show 'karate' , be respectful to the art , be respectful to yourself , learn and understand were the martial art actually originated ( Japan , okinawa , china ...) Shotokan bu do karate is a perfect example as its goal is to compress , expand and strike your opponent using one technique . Not wearing multi coloured 'gi's' and flaping ur leg around abouve your head . Where are the stances , the hips , the techhique the power ????? ..
CHLOE BRUCE!!!!!!!!! You amazing chloe. Don't listen to people who say it's gymnastics because it's not. THEIR JUST JEALOUS!!! I do agree guys can flip more but can they do this? NO! THIS IS NOT SILLY. YOU GUYS ARE SILLY THINKING THAT FLIPS AND TRICKS IS BETTER THAN REAL MARTIAL ARTS.
@UlquihimeSuju I will not citicize too much this clip, but I am a former female full-contact karate champion form the 1970s. We fought at that time without pads and white belts were in the same division as black belts!!! I ruled the northeast because The drop out rate was so high because the sparring was so hard. 80% of men did not stay and 90% of women. I hold a 7th Dan In the KA System founded by my uncle GrandMaster Karreim AbdAllah (he fought jeff smith in the first closed circuuit kick
@Muslimahrandori That's impressive. I'd rather be known for great sparring skills than flexibility. Let's leave that to the gymnasts. It's still impressive. I get a lot of comments saying I should join sparring competitions....
@UlquihimeSuju kick-boxing bout. I will have some videos up with techniques that actually work on males. My shodan (first degree black belt test) can be seen on my channel. My only sparring partners were men and that made me a good fighter. My issue with women in the martial arts is that we still have little "real" respect because we do not really show technique that is anything but show! That is how it has always been and women should be insulted. My organization will be dedicated to change.
hardpack187, you are what in some circles are called "soul killers". You go out and find ANYTHING that is honorable, decent and good, and criticize it. These women are athletes. They can do what 99 percent of people can't do, and they do it well. But you find something bad to say about it. Go look inside yourself, review your own soul, and find all the things that are wrong in you. Then try to fix yourself. You'll find it more rewarding.
@russiancrew5000 In my original post, I clearly say "I understand that is a very difficult technique, and I can't even come close to doing it". I had a legitimate question about a trend I noticed among female martial artists.
Ans which circle calls people like me "soul killers"? Are you implying that I actually killed somebody's soul because I want to know why women martial artists do more high kicks than aerials? Look into your own soul and try to understand why you're so easily offended.
do all women in martial arts have to be flexible??? lol cos they all do the same leg thing. i think the leg thing is hot although am a girl bt i also think its hotter when a woman can actually fight and kick ass ...and what was the one near the beach doing? yoga..am not tryin to be insulting bt i think people who have seen a lot of videos with women in martial arts wud get my point
and just to point out the reason the majority of these clips are of the woman doing gymnastical martial arts is because they are in forms competitions not fighting, therefore dont need to be powerful.
@czaban11 Google search the 'sunshine fettkether vs randy pittman' fight. A trained female kickboxer destroyed an untrained 'tough guy' in a cage match. Same height and weight. She KO'd him with a hook kick.
This clip is nice. I would like to know if anyone has info on who is the high ranking women in the US in Kyokushin Kai, Uechi Ryu, IsshinRyu or Shotokan, Go ju Ryu or Okinawan Kobudo and their background info, who were their
Sensei(s) did they train in Okinawa if so how long. Do they teach the Japanese martial arts now. If a video is out there that has this type of info please contact me at the above youtube address. Osu
@1banryukyu I don't follow the martial arts tournament circuit anymore. When I did, Elsie Au from Hawaii was tops in Shotokan. Not sure about top ranking belt though. From what I've seen there aren't many over 5th Dan in Japanese systems. American federations of the same systems tend to have higher belt rankings for the same amount of time in training.
I looked at this hoping to see strength and solid stance in women's forms. I didn't really expect it to be 4 mins solid of women more or less only showing off flexibility. As much as it is impressive and I'd be lying if I said it was easy, I have to agree with other posters that it isn't very practical. It would've been nice to see some high speed punch combinations or just about anything with the hands. I would even be impressed with medium height, powerful, devastating kicks.

@czaban11 wow u are as sexist as they come. u obviously have never seen bodybuilder women or women who are 6 foot plus, like 6 foot 5, etc.... if u did in a dark alleyway i don't think u'd be saying this again
@sweetappletits listen i love kick womens who training martial arts and i say always becouse i always win without problems ... womens are weak! hehehehe
@czaban11 yeh because u always take on women u can beat thats why. u need to expand your opponents a little bit more. and learn to speak properly! omg..
@czaban11 ????? "womens are weak." its women r weak das the correct way of saying it. thats all. i dnt agree with u though and i don't speak polish "little one"...
interesting.....mostly kicking (especially mostly round kicks) and mainly with right leg. Just because you are very flexible doesn't mean you should focus on a couple things. There is more to martial arts than just flexibility. There is strength and endurance also. Let alone balance and focus!!
I can't believe how much crap I am reading..These ladies have skills..They don't do flips and the guys do?? How many fights have you seen won by a flip..And I didn't see no pink belts, only black.. And I assure you that every one of those ladies earned them..I have been in the arts for most of my life and I am 48 years old..My deepest respect to Chloe and the rest of the ladies..And to you guys that wish you were that good, practice, practice, practice,oh and did I mention practice..
1st, who is the young lady in the blue gi (@48 secs.in)?, 2nd anybody notice that they all use only their rt. leg? With all due Respect, they should also use their left leg to be really impressive. But, then again I have taught for quite a few years & the students had to be just as good with both. Their is NO DISRESPECT intended here.
@GODSCHAIRETYCASE From 46 through 50 seconds are: Tatjana Arkenkow (blue gi holding leg, not sure on the spelling), Karin Boulanger (black gi jumping into splits from holding her leg) and Chloe Bruce (blue gi top, white bottoms, holding her leg).
I can't speak for the first two women, but Chloe Bruce demonstrated on video that she's just as good with her left leg.
Why to female martial artists ALWAYS do that rapid fire high kick move? It looks really stupid. And I understand that is a very difficult technique, and I can't even come close to doing it, but it looks a little silly and has been done TO DEATH. Female martial artists seem to focus more on showing off their flexibility more than anything else. The guys on YouTube do a lot of impressive jumping, twisting kicks, yet the women keep their feet firmly on the ground.
@hardpack187 hey not all the persons can fly like steve terada or matt emig some are good in flips other can kick high like chloe bruce other can fight like raymond daniels
@masparamore I get what you're saying. But my question is, why is it so hard to find a video of a girl doing doing the acrobatic moves? And why do you almost never see guys doing the rapid-fire-high-kick circle? It's just something I noticed that irked me.
@hardpack187 need to investigate high kick boy steven horst one of my favorite girl tricking mackensi emory and there are a lot more but they are hidding in youtube
@masparamore I've seen guys perform high kicks before, that's not what I meant. I'm talking about the full rotation with one foot on the floor and the other doing flutter high kicks. When I watch martial arts tournaments on TV, the girls ALWAYS have that move in their repertoire, but the only time I've seen a guy do it was Chuck Norris in the film "Sidekicks".
@hardpack187 that is true and stupid girls can do what boys do but it is suppouse that flexibility is for girls but is more common to se girls tricking than boys kicking
@hardpack187 that is true and stupid girls can do what boys do but it is suppouse that flexibility is for girls but is more common to se girls tricking than boys kicking if one day i see i boy that kicks like chloe bruce i will be in love
I look at it as a demonstration of strength and balance which is really difficult without at least 1 foot firmly on the ground. As for the guys doing crazier stuff maybe they just have more power and torque in their movements. But either way, it's all insane physical perfection and more of an emphasis on how far the human body can be pushed; as opposed to functionality in combat. It's like Staff twirling, nobody does all that fancy stuff in combat; combat staffs too heavy for that
@Keaos0 I agree that the move shows incredible strength and balance. And I'm not judging it based on it's effectiveness in combat. I realize it's meant to look cool and that's pretty much all. What I'm trying to figure out, though, is why women use this move so often in competition and why men use it so rarely. The one time I've seen a guy do this was in the movie Sidekicks with Chuch Norris. (watch?v=gCEzQqG24Qc @5:25)
@hardpack187 Physics. Women have a lower centre of gravity making it harder for them to get the sort of height on their jumps that men can. Less air time.
@sweetappletits Remember that the clips are edited from many performances. Throwing in a number of jump kicks and flips is pretty much standard in sport karate. My selection of clips was an attempt to match the beat and lyrics of ZZ Top's 'Legs.'
@hardpack187 As Ghost said, it's physics. With a lower center of gravity, the most effective offensive weapon is a foot in the right place. Defensively, it is getting the foot back out of the way fast, while at the same time protecting the head and torso. It's really apples and oranges, but compare it to a boxer's weak hand jab followed by a strong hand punch.....now limit the boxer to one hand.
@hardpack187 the old phrase is flaunt what you got, most women have flexibility. as for myself, it's board breaking. i keep up with male 4th and 5th dans at tournaments. i currently hold the rank of a 2nd dan. my best break is a 3 board hammer fist, but im sure i can do 4 or 5.
is this tae kwon do arts? looks so familiar heck i remembered when i made a year 7 cried when i was a year 6 lol the reason why he cried is beacuse i kept hitting him too much
I have to say, you managed to pull two of the well-known martial artists that I actually have respect for in this video. Chloe Bruce and Lauren Kearney. If not Lauren, then just Chloe. Alot of ppl complain about Chloe and her theatrics, but I still respect her because she CAN move really quickly, she's pretty darn strong, and she actually respects the martial arts. Alot of people nowadays think it's a sport and nothing more. That makes me sad. :'( You can actually ignore most of that, lol.
428ghost, you've made the best damn Women in Martial Arts video ever! Great music, great shots, great action! If they dare try to pull it again, I say unleash the righteous anger of these Furious Felines against them! The music people should be glad that someone is using their half-forgotten song in a new and exciting way. 5 Stars!
I have been in martial arts for going on forty years; my brother is a master in three forms. For those detractors, let me inform you-- these kata's strengthen as well as provide muscle memory, speed and improved reflexes. If you were not at least a second degree black belt yourself, most of these girls could kick your lower jaw clean off your face, leaving your mouth permanently opened for no purpose.
I am a former first degree decided black belt, and I must say, I wish that school didn't have female martial artists like these. I am completely awestruck. This proves once & for all, that women just as good, if not better than men at martial arts. Someone should contact one of these girls for a part in a martial arts or action movie.
A girl will always hit like a girl. But if their legs are trained up, no man can kick harder, faster, or more accurately. Notice that after the first minute in, most are throwing combination kicks off one foot, that would strike in two or three different target areas on an opponent, hard, in under a second. That would end most street confrontations with the assailant down. Running away or a disabling kick would then be an option.
Many years ago, I dated a divorced woman who had some martial arts/self defense experience, and had a sister who was a black belt, though I never met her. But she did tell me on more than one occasion that women had more natural talent than men for the martial arts, and therefore would beat males far more often than the other way around. Not being a martial artist myself, but rather an enthusiast, I would totally agree with her assertions just from observing how good these women really are.
When it was first up it had close to 100,000 views before Youtube pulled for copyright infringement. I'm surprised it's so low this time. Spread it around!
Likely because there is nothing martial about what they are doing. Notice that there is not one segment of this vid that features any of them actually sparring or applying techniques to fully resistant opponents.

428ghost 1 year ago
@428ghost bt they can still jump...right?? cos i only saw like 2 women did a jump kick out of like the 8 in this video.
sweetappletits 10 months ago
@sweetappletits Remember that the clips are edited from many performances. Throwing in a number of jump kicks and flips is pretty much standard in sport karate. My selection of clips was an attempt to match the beat and lyrics of ZZ Top's 'Legs.'
428ghost 10 months ago

I once taught women martial arts. The biggest challenge was to not only show them they can defend themselves; i t was their right-and, their duty..!

where did you saw high heels in this video?! But i know what you ment. ;)

@gunsgg Damn, that's some visual you just place in our heads....Hear that boys? Best respect these Fatal Fems or you're gonna be a Slack Jaw Jerry!

I am a former first degree decided black belt, and I must say, I wish that school didn't have female martial artists like these. I am completely awestruck. This proves once & for all, that women just as good, if not better than men at martial arts. Someone should contact one of these girls for a part in a martial arts or action movie.
Madamow 2 years ago
A girl will always hit like a girl. But if their legs are trained up, no man can kick harder, faster, or more accurately. Notice that after the first minute in, most are throwing combination kicks off one foot, that would strike in two or three different target areas on an opponent, hard, in under a second. That would end most street confrontations with the assailant down. Running away or a disabling kick would then be an option.
gunsgg 2 years ago
Many years ago, I dated a divorced woman who had some martial arts/self defense experience, and had a sister who was a black belt, though I never met her. But she did tell me on more than one occasion that women had more natural talent than men for the martial arts, and therefore would beat males far more often than the other way around. Not being a martial artist myself, but rather an enthusiast, I would totally agree with her assertions just from observing how good these women really are.

Somehow this turned out more sexy then threatening. Damn, they got some nice buns!
Think they look better dancing then harming someone.

Likely because there is nothing martial about what they are doing. Notice that there is not one segment of this vid that features any of them actually sparring or applying techniques to fully resistant opponents.
