  • I got a Lapc-i these days just because of your video.

Came with a MCB-1. What the hell i supossed to do ? Connect an external SC55ST / SC55 in a 386 computer ? No sense. Is it for keyboards only?

Shit. This board cannot die on me. Unbelievable cymbals, timpani and reverb echo on others games. There is not enough words on my vocabulary to tell you how awesome it is.

Emulation is really pathetic on Dosbox at some games.

  • This is... hauntingly good for MIDI.

  • @GenghisKhan44 ...Seriously?

  • @GenghisKhan44 Well, it is the Roland MT-32 after all. No wonder it sells for above 200$ usually :)

  • What is the MT-32? Is it a sound card or some sort of external module? Are they difficult to get hold of?

  • @ShokaLion It's an external module, and they don't appear often on eBay. I think their prices are going up now since so many people want one.

  • sounds so nice!

  • HEY WAIT THAT'S A CM-32L

  • The relaxing music that plays during the part were Guybrush is talking with the other 2 parts around the fire is so good ... gives you very warm emotions, like you are there for real, relaxing around a camp fire, in some remote place in a unknown island in the carribean ... Ahhh its fantastic what a songwriter with a huge amount of talent ( like the guys who did the music for the MI series ) can achieve

  • The re-released version does NOT have these opening credits. No dancing monkeys and no music.

  • Goodness, this sounds incredible. Thank you for sharing it.

  • The organ at the beginning gave me chills. Amazing version.

  • Roland MT-32 is the best soundcard ever made!

  • @Blomsterbob2K

IS it compatible with modern mother boards?

  • @TrenzorZ

No! It's made on a fairly old standard, and wouldn't even fit in the computer. If you are really skilled in electronics and driver-programming, you could get it to work.

  • I don't understand why these roll playing games are so popular. They have got no end, no purpose. Just endless "living" in some fantasy world with just tiny quests to fill time.

That's what I love about these adventure games. They end. They are extremely fun, you've got to go through the story, with the feel of satisfaction of having solved the puzzle at the end. And you still can play them over and over, because everytime you notice a different joke, or some prop you haven't clicked on yet.

  • wow, serious memories! I never did finish these games, but they were incredibly entertaining.

  • I love this game!!!!!

  • truly fantastic instruments. how did you emulate the MT32?

  • No emulation. It's a real MT-32. :)

  • wow.

  • @Sahkolihaa You know what I wish you could do? Record the whole game and make a walkthrough, so that we could have a walkthrough online with the MT32 music instead of the cheap-sounding SoundBlaster music present in the other walkthroughs.

  • @mudkipNDS I wish I had the time and video editing software to be able to do that. :(

  • i wish i was 13 again....when mi2 was released....the golden era of adventure games....not the era of gamespot....like today....i remember, when i used to keep money for a month just to buy these big pc games boxes with 3.5 discs with presents....maps....manuals.....aaaaaaaaaa those were days mates!!!!! HORAY!!!! GROOOG!!!! they will never come back! we are getting older mates...unfortunatelly.....

  • @vault2077 u said it man ... i love adventure games ... look up "heavy rain" its the new breed of adventure games ..it looks good

  • @vault2077

True, LucasArts and PC DOS gaming at its best. For some reason I believe that any of point and click adventure games (Monkey Island, Indian Jones and Atlantis, and Full Throttle) can go straight to movies, NO script editing needed (that means you George Lucas!). Come to think of it, if they actually simply turned Indiana Jones and Atlantis adventure game into Indiana Jones IV the movie I would be very happy.

  • I am wondering if Lucasarts will produce a Special Edition of THIS game! I hope so! It'll be more great!

  • hell yeah my friend!!! they will make it....just wait..and u'll see :)))))) oooo yeah!!!! and not only mi2!!! some more surpsises are on their way!!!! games with tentacles and aggressive bunnies and dogs!! i said enough!!!! just wait and we'll all laugh again!!! original adventures are reborn once again! just wait as we used to do!!!!

  • Yes but... I am already waiting for Chapter FIVE of Tales Of Monkey Island (LeChuck is a son of a... Zombie, dead mother)... Do you think we will play a great swordfighting (like Monkey Three) as Elaine, or maybe there's another solution?

  • I wish i had a soundcard like that.I'd like to be young again......

  • like adlib? or sound blaster (not 16, 32, awe, or anything!!!)!!!! YEAH THOSE WHERE TIMES!!!! i want my 286 back!!! with no super hdd, graphics cards, 100000000000 core cpu, or a super-duper dvd-blu ray hd ready and whatever screens!! i want our FUN BACK!!!! i want ron gilbert back!!! with his humour! i dont want the best game to be a mindless splatter with zombies!!! and violence!!! no!!! we want our real pc games back! and u know.... the last game was the longest journey..

  • Love It! Best Intro of any MI game. I liked the game, not my personal fav, but it was still okay. LOVE THE INTRO THOUGH!

  • best intro ever

  • I just love the Monkey Island theme...

  • @SixthDice we all love monkey isladn ..but id ont like how they changed guy brush back to a skinny little boy ..tis as if he never grew

  • EXTREMELY FANTASTIC INSTRUMENTS!
