the ambitious card routine is a pretty simple routine that i use but its subtle moves that have to be executed dont make it extremely simple, the moves on a scale of 1-10 arent harder then a 5, but to pull off the entire routine cleanly id put it at a 6 or 7...

It's called performance and showmanship techniques. Clearly not enough time and effort was put into this.
Perhaps the techniques learnt had some time dedicated to them but the performance was horrible, and the reactions show this.
