  • Rise Against used to be amazing. This album and RPM I can listen to over and over again. Everything after that has gotten progressively worse. Can't believe the same band I saw play at the Reverb is now playing the ACC for a bunch of frat douches. Ah well. Guess I am just bitter.

  • @theproleswillrise I think Rise Against is still amazing. It's true, that their music style has definitely changed and their worse songs indeed are on the newer albums. However it's not all bad, many of their new songs really rock... but obviously it's your opinion. I love both their old and new stuff.

  • They're throwing bottles at your house.. Come on guys, let's go break their arms. Oh shit... this is.. this... THIS IS MY VODKA. Fuck it, *loads 357. Magnum* son of a bitches..

  • the unraveling=best album known to humans, aliens, and everything else

  • I was seven years old when this album was released. I can't forgive myself for not finding them earlier. Instead I discovered them 8 years later because of their mainstream album. I should have bought this one as my first album instead. That would have been awesome.

  • I'm buying Henry Fool on dvd now lol

    thx RA!

  • the quote at the beginning might be the most amazing thing ever !

  • my first rise against album :D

  • @TheYoungWildAndFree also the first rise against in general! unless you count the transistor revolt EP.

  • Amazing!

  • I watched Henry Fool because of this song. Good movie, if you can handle the pace. For those that prefer things such as 300 or Transformers, might want to stay away.

  • @EllipsisGH Mate, 300 is a great film.

  • I love this song :D

  • @ALardNugget I do agree it is pretty amazing, but the song itself is just as good.

  • LOVE HENRY FOOL

  • @ALardNugget I listen to the song because its one of the best songs ever written.

  • Song not dong sry stupid typo

  • My god this sounds like shit

Not the dong thats great, but the quality sucks balls

  • what is "it"? (just a thought)

  • @TheNinjaElochai if you're referring to the intro, the sound byte is from a movie called "Henry Fool." The character talking in the clip has a lot of notebooks that he keeps with him, and another character asks what they are. "This? This is my life's work. My memoirs. My 'Confession'."... "... It's... whatever the hell I want it to be, and when I'm through with it, it's gonna blow a hole this wide straight through the world's own idea of itself!"

  • @huggable499 so the notebooks "are" the unraveling album.

  • @whateverwhatever44 That's a very good thought!

  • I love the guitar riff.....It's like....Indescribably awesome.

  • I love rise against and honestly don't know what the song means but I think the intro is really cool you know? Like the beginning of an awesome story!

  • ok what the hell is with my other comment. i must of been drunk when i posted that

  • @jsh020 naa it wins, it takes the piss outa twt

  • Marry a Beautiful Latino girl online **rockmycity.inf

  • i have a different version of this song.....why?!

this version is great and i love the intro!

  • That song is stuck in my head

  • the guy at the start is a legend!!!

  • OMG the intro is going to be in my head forever. So awesome, now I want to go break someone's arms; possibly the pope, dalai llama or w.e, UN leaders, leaturCoOkleS10201, politicians mainly, and who ever gets in my way. Live for change, live under the choking fumes of our past, and stand against the fire burning deep! For schools popiularity is going down, emos smashed in the face with shovels, and the ones who stay will forever know that they were part of a revolution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @DONNIEandSTEPHANIE Amen bro !

  • @DONNIEandSTEPHANIE *melodrama*

"anyone who gets in my way"? How often do any of those people get in your way? what does "popularity is going down" mean? What has emos getting hit in the face with shovels got to do with anything? Assuming you didn't experience a world war, you have never lived through a revolution.

  • My moms dead...

  • is that an original quote? awesome.

  • @xist522 it's from henry fool, great movie in my opinion

  • This is completly awesome

  • @parkerlegend555 My penis is also awesome. Your mother would agree.

  • @IeaturCoOkIeS10201 i woudl agree too. its very nicley structured and thick hell i even wrote a song about your wonderful dick

lyrics: his dick his dick, its realy realy thick

its not that long but its realy strong

he can raise it hiGH and can raise it Low.

you best get back its gonna blow AGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH

  • sick intro

  • This song and this whole album has so much energy to it. Feels like you are travelling very fast!

  • "it is, in the end, whatever the hell i want it to be, and when i'm through with it it's going to blow a hole *smash* this wide, straight through the world's own idea of itself. *smash* they're throwing bottles at your house *smash* Come on, lets go break their arms"

  • Ok, I found the answer. The movie it's from is Henry Fool, and it's currently one of my favorite movies of all time.

  • @ledgendaryusername Thanks.

  • Whats that quote in the beggining from?

  • if i had the patience i would post "i love Rise Against" on every single one of their videos.

  • i lol at the intro. They're throwing bottles at your house. Come on let's go break their arms. niiice....

  • what the hell is up with the intro lol

  • @ljp167 a couple old songs have introductions like this. and if you listen to the band "the killing tree" which tim mcilrath (the singer) is also in, you'll see tim likes to use these as introductions to songs. personally, i think it's a cool idea.

  • it is in the end whatever i want it to be and when im through with it its going to blow a hole this wide (break) through the worlds own idea of itself. theyre throwing bottles at your house cmon lets go break their arms

  • lol "come on lets go break their arms"

  • This is so beast. My favorite album :D

  • love the older version

  • come let brake there arms ^^

  • @Halogenleuchte1 PRETTY AWSOME

  • 'is the best yet to come' part is fucking awesome. watta great song

  • I'm not your reason to stand up straight,

Shoulders back, chest out, and eyes raised.

    Stepping back, I hesitate.

I can't let myself be taken

  • They're throwing bottles at your house.

Come on, lets go break their arms

  • @wiseguy989 best line ever

  • @wiseguy989 When I listened to this song for the first (of many) time that part made me laugh my ass off.

  • @wiseguy989 all he did is repeat the into...........and he has over 200 thumbs up?

  • @Themightychickensbff cause its awesome

  • Comment removed

  • the best rise against album for me =D short song but more hardcore !

  • Great fucking album!

  • Hmm just curious, what is the movie about that this song has a quote from (henry fool)

  • its about a crazy fuck con who runs into a garbage guy and inspires the garbage man to write the gr8 american poem. its kicks ass.

  • well alright then. lol thx =P

  • haha, sorry. i'm reading my response and i see how vague it is.

it's about this guy thats sort of crazy (henry fool) and he meets this garbage man named simon. and they get to be friends, and henry inspires simon, and simon writes this amazing poem. but alot is going on during all this, and after that they have some troubles. but overall its a great movie and i would definitely recommend it. cheers =D

  • Haha its cool but ty

  • brandon barnes is so fucking fast

...and rise against are so fucking awesome

    ..omg!

  • it wasnt brandon in this album, he joined in rpm ::P

  • No, Brandon was from the beginning part of the band ;)

the only one who always changes is the guitarist

  • @neuni111 no toni tintari was before brandon but he was never in an album

  • personally i like siren song of the counter culture more, but then again i love all of rise against 's music

  • I just got Siren Song of the Counter Culture, it's amazing.

I love all their music but i've only heard Siren Song, The Sufferer and The Witness and Appeal To Reason so far.

  • I love that quote at the beginning.

  • @mitchsmith91 Have you seen the movie it's from? I hear it's pretty good.

  • the 'transistor revolt' album version of this is better by far.

  • Come on, let's break their arms.

0:12 Rise Against is the best!

  • there everchanging ;)

  • Which album is the best one?

  • best album is definitely the sufferer and the witness!! (:

  • yea i gotta agree (in my opinion) sufferer and the witness was definatley one of the best albums along with siren song of the counter culture but for their debut album this one (the unraveling) was pretty damn good to and the intro was hilarious it caught me off guard a little the first time i heard it.

  • Sorry, it wasn't their debut CD though. Unlucky guess.

  • @Funeral4aFan Transistor Revolt!!

  • Lol: "Come on, let's go break their arms"

    (=

  • "Come on, lets go break their arms"

  • i hate how this song ends it speeds up and then ppof its done :( but great song

  • henry fool is an amazing independent film

  • you know what i'm glad rise against aren't doing the same thing. you know why because they aren't some band that do things they can't and they aren't full of themselves but most of all it's good that they try something new. but thats my opinion and i'm a fan so i'll support them whatever they do

  • i agree, it shows they can do more than just one type of music nd all, unlike so many bands who just get samey

  • wats a punker

  • this song is way too short..

    its good otherwise although.

  • the beggining is awsome XD,why do u never hear stuff like that in any other song?

  • its probaly an explict from a movie or something

  • i think you mean excerpt, and yeah it's from henry fool.

  • yeah thats what i meant, i hear a lot of words that ive never seen on paper

    so i cant spell good

  • Bring back the old days! bring back the the classic rebbel fueled rise against i know! with songs like heaven knows! and life inside my heart! Those songs will never die as long as there is true hardcore punkers willing not to give up listening to the old school rhythem.. Sorry just wanted to put my oppinion across ^^

  • love the beginning =DD

  • Henry fool is the shit :P

  • wow, shat a kick ass intro

  • i love the beginning! Awesome attention grabber!!!!

  • seems that all the hardcore fans from the beginning (including me) like all of the old stuff more, the Unraveling and Revolutions Per Minute were much more hardcore and punk than their new stuff.

Their new stuff sounds more mainstream.

  • yeah u nailed cardboard.. the older stuff def more hardcore.. though in concert they can def make the newer stuff harder, at least the vocals

  • i love everyone of their albums especially this one. You could hear their soul behind every single note.

  • It is in the end whatever i want it to be and when i'm through it it's gonna blow a hole this wide straight through the worlds own idea of itself, they're throwing bottles at your house, Come on lets go break there arms

brilliant: one thing that could make it even better was if Javier Bardem said it in his really really deep voice. to hear it search for No Country For Old Men Coin Toss Scene

  • "c'mon lets go break thier arms" lol thats hilarious!

  • its epic.

  • lol

  • love the beggining

  • Oooh, that's the Transistor Revolt version :).

  • isn't the TR version

  • Yeah, you're right. Sorry. I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote that. The TR version doesn't have the intro thing.

  • So you are saying this is bad....

  • the intro is from the movie Henry Fool (1997)

  • this version kicks so much ass. but then again so does the transistor revolt version. different sound and quality. it's cool. i definitely love the unraveling and RPM, ssotcc is okay, tsatw kicked ass, ATR is a sellout in some ways, some ways not, and their two new singles kick ass. :)

  • so much more punk oriented back in those days! I'm not to much of a punk fan, but i think they've improved and changed genre ever slightly.

  • Totally wrong.

  • this is their best stuff!

  • i agree with the other guys their old stuff is way better they are still good but the reason why there so good back then was because they wernt thinkin about money just worried about makin good music not gettin rich

  • REPROBATEMAN... think about that for a second...that makes no sense. They weren't thinking about money when they needed it more and were thinking about better music when they didn't need it?

  • they never felt that way they love making music and gettin a point across and they should make good money they diserve it!

  • i agree with both of them but none of us really no so just shut up all of you

  • love the stuff at the begginning COME ON LETS GO BREAK THEIR ARMS. hahaha. love itttt!!

  • They're throwing bottles at your house.

Come on lets go break their arms.

  • read the description...

  • anyone else notice the offspring influence? love it.. not to say they are ripping them off or anything

  • Chris was there until A wee bit after sufferer came out.

he was there for part of the tour, but then Zach took over.

  • beginning of this song totally owns... it sounds like Rise Against as we know them.. fucking great, pumping and awesome. 6/5

  • cmon lets go break there arms

  • come on, lets go break their arms

  • this song is amazing but i think it is better on the transistor demo

  • they're throwing bottles at you house, c'mon let's ge break their arms xD

  • This is the real Rise Against!!

  • that was some nice video editing. the intro was old film like and then smashed into color. very fitting.

  • Yeah. According to wikipedia it's from a movie called Henry Fool.

  • Being their first album give em a break. Check out Siren Song of the Counter Culture (my favorite imo) or any of their newer stuff for that matter. you might change your mind. unless you already have and just plain dont like him lol.

  • It's unbeliveable how each and every single of their songs have such powerful lyrics man, the best band ever!

  • Rise Against has the best lyrics ever!

  • rise against IS the best, period. no, scratch that, exclamation point!!!

  • They're throwing bottles at your house.

Come on, lets go break their arms.

    that's so cool omfg! x33

    awesome song

  • YES! LOVE IT

  • "c'mon lets go break their arms" lol

  • what it the part from the beging from?

  • The movie Henry Fool. You could've just read the "More Info" thing. :P

  • nice version

  • very nice!!!!!

  • nope.. he came when the recorded siren song

at this moment they had mr. p... :D:D
