This radio spot was probably recorded after "YOUR HIT PARADE" ended. It was designed to be the first half of a one-minute local commercial, with a local announcer or DJ adding, after her vocal, "That's right! Why not take a tip from Dorothy Collins and visit YOUR Esso dealer, right here in Crosswell Corners....".
Dorothy returned to "YOUR HIT PARADE" in the fall of 1958- after the 1957-'58 "cast change" failed to generate a "new" audience- and American Tobacco moved the show from NBC to CBS. However, despite an "overhaul" of the show's format, with Johnny Desmond as co-star, it ended in April 1959.

Esso was the first choice of people the whole world over...really? There were Esso gas stations all over the world?
