Why is the video blacked out and what determines how many horns are used in a given area. I've seen areas that have 7 of them where a handful set to high volume would due nicely say one or two
Sorry, simplexfreak. I wasn't talking about his strange noises in the other clip. I'm saying that he also copies clips from other users, which I believe is copyright infringement.
I wasn't the one setting it off, I had someone helping me. I will try and get a panel next time. When I shoot these, it's only so I can take it back to the office and work on the information. I posted it because I thought maybe this would be a good sound effect for someone searching for fire alarm noise.
Can you actually show the panel and you setting off the alarm! I am a huge fire alarm fanatic and it would be great if you could. I am part of a forum called the schuminweb community where me and a whole bunch of other fanatics discuss stuff.

To me you are on the satanic aka the scarier side of fire alarms. I like them a lot!

Are these horns 2 or 4 wire?
Windows446 1 year ago
They have those same alarms (The 4903-9219s) at the Rondileau Campus Center at Bridgewater State College.

jake497 4 years ago
They were using march time
danll5 4 years ago 2
There is no such thing as code 1 or 2. Code 3 Exists.
cammoman96 4 years ago
Code 1 is "pulse"
Stealthguy06 4 years ago
Then we call it pulse. I've Never herd anyone call it Code 1.
cammoman96 4 years ago
What is the difference between the 9219 and the 9405 cause they sound alike.
danll5 4 years ago
the -9219 is 15cd. The -9405 is 110cd and has a smart sync strobe. They do sound identical because they have the same electromechanical horn.
weatherdan882002 4 years ago
No wonder. Know I know that the alarms that my old school's cafateria and office were 9405s because they had strobes that were blinding bright.
danll5 4 years ago
Well, there are ways to tell. Are the strobes synchronized? Also, the strobes have labels (or stickers) that designate the cd rating of the strobe...
weatherdan882002 4 years ago
Yes they are synchronized and they flashed at the same time as each other and they sounded just like the one you have.
danll5 4 years ago
what i mean is that when you move the camera audio away from it the sound wave changes...sorry for the misunderstanding.
deafmonk19 5 years ago
Not the case here; there were 3 horns and each has a little different "pitch."
SimplexTech 5 years ago
moving camera audio sound recorder ,the sound wave moving while moving the camera
deafmonk19 5 years ago
probably three horns,right?
deafmonk19 5 years ago
Yes, three horns in that area
