I hate how the new games in the FFVII franchise have gotten to the point where they end the games with a cliffhanger ending in an attempt to make the fans demand a sequel. Just look at the ending of Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core. They pretty much came right out and said they were going to make another game following Genesis between the end of CC where Nero and Weiss find him and the scene where he picks up Weiss' body at the end of DoC.

i feel that dirge of cerberus and other spinoffs should've never happened...7's original ending was ambiguous, and thus that much more meaningful. to be fair, advent children was pretty sweet graphically, bt it really put away the charm of the original through its bland story.

basically i feel that all the spinoffs of 7 feel like bad fanfictions of the original. if there were any types of foreshadowing in 7 to hint at the sequels, then it would be a lot more legitimate. bt that's improbable.
