  • One of the best pieces of commercial music ever. Sung, at the time by a beautiful woman and singer. So sorry to see her downfall in her personal life. BTW, a lot of credit should go to Robin Batteau of BuskinandBatteau. Dwight Batteau Jr., aka Robin Batteau, the writer and producer of this and many jingles . If you like this jingle check out his history of jingles well all remember and loved.

  • Good music

  • AT&T was on some serious bull if they thought they were improving the sound of Whitney's voice! No improvement needed there. I'd forgotten all about that commercial. :) Thanks for posting.

  • does anyone think of i look to you when they see this video...

  • WTF does an endorsement for AT&T ? AT&T IS THE DAMNED DEVIL ! AT&T = Activities Tapped & Totally

  • beautiful!! u will be missed! there will never be another you ! i'll always love you

  • I remember when this commercial was being shown on tv. Gives me chills. She was amazing.

  • @brooke050870 gives me chills, too. When I used to watch it, i was like a little baby that would just stop mid-track when a favorite commercial came on. It sent chills down my spine then, and still does. The Voice...... R.I.P.

  • @clickshot17 And that beautiful smile of hers at the end of the commercial.

  • @clickshot17 Amen.

  • I remember this commerical.... i feel so damn old... love u whitney

  • I remember being a kid and my granny would call me every time this came on. Now, I'm 25 and it still makes me smile. Yet, makes me cry because she's gone from this earth. I will always remember her true voice! Rip Ms. Houston!

  • RIP

  • Shortly before this commercial aired on TV, I passed Whitney on the highway near the AT&T headquarter in Bedminster, NJ. She was wearing a baseball cap, sun glasses and the licenses place on her Volvo said Nippy9. What a Voice she had!!! One of the Greatest Loves of All.

  • @jrfields321 Wow, how lucky you were to see Whitney!! She truly was a gift from god! She will be missed by so many people (including myself, of course). I will always love you Whitney!!!!<3

  • This commercial made an impact to me..as a singer..one of the best product endorsements ever put together..PERFECT MATCH!!! The voice..the talent..the star!!! Surely she will be missed! RIP Ms Whitney!!!

  • I remember being a kid when these AT&T commercials came out and always loved this one with her! R.I.P Whitney Houston

  • Always been my favorite commercial... I remembered every word. Love her!

  • a gift from God as evident in her voice. i believe we got a glimpse of what angels sound like in heaven. seriously. i miss her terribly and i thank God that we got to experience whitney houston. ultimately i am thankful and humbled we got to experience the power love and grace of God through her voice

  • Rip Whitney! Love you always!!

  • I am so sad to hear about Whitney's death. There are few who can hold a candle to her even today.

  • RIP. I LOVE YOU!

  • I love this commercial...

  • This bitch knows that she can sing.Love this

  • Phenom!

  • Best commercial ever

  • lol if you try calling now it says the program has ended and no further calls are being taken lmao

  • @Flyerscute LMMFAO!!!!

  • is it live or is it memorex?

luckily, the music industry caught everything on tape!

    lol?

  • How can somebody's teeth be this white. They can't even make false teeth that look this good.

  • LOL! AT FIRST I THOUGHT THIS WAS A REAL SONG THE FIRST TIME I SAW IT TURNS OUT IT WAS A AT&T COMERICAL LUV IT!

  • I don't know about AT&T quality, not any longer.. But I do know that Whitney is an AMAZING AMAZING talent, one of the best female artists ever.

  • Man I would love for Brandy or Monica to get the contract to redo this campaign since one of them will be the one to take Whitney's place when she eventually retires...

  • @DriveAustra LMAO! I was waiting for the "SIKE" at the end of your statement, but you were actually serious with this retard comment. Monica and Brandy are done... especially Brandy. Neither can come close to what Whitney sounded like, and Brandy can't even outsing a tea kettle going off. I can't believe you actually willed yourself to write this.

  • @Neno8403 You are ssssssssssssssssooooooooo RIGHT!

  • I remember reading this commercial netted her $4M. It was one of those Whitney moment that made me know that singing was not my calling. This and her 1993 Billboards Live Award performance in all red, but none more emphatically than her 1994 AMA medley of Porgy & Bess, And I Am Telling You, I Have Nothing in most divine 10 minute interval that music has ever known!

  • Damn. Look at her beautiful and perfectly white teeth.

  • she even wonderful in commercials. love Whitney...............

  • amazing...she's so beautiful

  • Ahhhhh!!! Whitney simply nailed her commercials!!!! These were special gems of advertisement to the viewer and buyer!!! Thx 4 postin'!! :D

  • I thought it was nice and she did a very good job but I can't help but think that Mariah Carey could have done this song more justice. The depth of her voice and range could have really brought this song new life. Still, good job Whitney.

  • @Gizmo20783 Mariah was too busy being a wannabe Whitney in 1994 to ever have done this song justice. Whitney was all ready receiving legend awards by that time. Whitney was the massive. Mariah was/is the apprentice. Nasty ole pig whore.

  • @Neno8403 I feel so sorry for you.

  • @Gizmo20783 screaming cat wouldn't have done the trick #imjustsaying

  • Has anyone else ever killed a commercial like that? That woman's voice is great!

  • there was a Japanese version of this commercial too!

  • @Brinah no they played this over here they had this version which was long and s shorter version with half the song!

  • hmm its pretty good. I'd like to hear the incredible Miley Cyrus sing this song. I bet she'd do it better cuz shes got the voice for it.

  • @RainbowDwarfJr get the fukk outta here, ur on crack

  • @RainbowDwarfJr hahahahahahahahahahaha

  • I really wanna take this and make it into a full length song.I keep everything maybe even the true voice part. But I love to get clearance to make this into a real song with two more verses.it would be soooooo awesome cuz it's already beautiful!!!

  • I was 14 when this commercial came out and we talked about it in history class. I miss this Whitney.

  • they picked her because they were trying to represent what the best "voice" sounded like.. and atop a plethora of amazing artists, whitney houston has "the voice" of them all.

  • Beautiful commercial! I remember reading it in the popmagazines and I hated I couldn't see it because I lived in the Netherlands. So now, +/- 20 years later I see it finally and I have to say; it's absolutely worth 20 years waiting....

  • @jorindeh LOL u make her seem very old lol..this was not 20years ago it was 16years ago

  • @phinetopsc : Sorry, I miscalculated! I didn't know excactly, that's why I used the +/_.....

  • @jorindeh whitney loved dem french rolls

  • @jamardjk huh? I don't get it... Can you explain?

  • @jamardjk its a hairstyle.........chile

  • Shame we don't have a good copy of this. Shame she didn't turn it into a full song.

I'd always say that Whitney Houston's voice (then) was proof, or for some, an extremely strong suggestion, that God exists. XD

  • I sure do miss pre-drug Whitney

  • this dress is kinda like the "I look to you" dress

  • I remember seeing this on tv when I was little. Such good memories! Such a beautiful voice! :)

  • this is like hello! i wanna see someone from today's music do a commercial like this, so classic and elegant and very sophisticated and what a voice!

just let me hear loud and clear, the real you coming through whitney's true voice:)

  • this needed to survive.. im so thankful for you jamesallen.. youtube is the bomb

  • I miss this. I was in grade 9 when this came out. Something made me look this up and here it is.

  • How can somebody's teeth be this white and beautiful. This woman is incredible in every way.

  • look at the ROCK on that finger...i wonder how much she got paid for this commercial?seriously

  • @jonippy24 For some reason, I wanna say in the $2 million range. From what I remember, it was a one-shot deal. Unlike Madonna in the late 80's who got $5 million for Pepsi and was supposed to do a 'campaign' but was dropped after the 'Like A Prayer' video premiered (I wanna say she still got her full payday tho.). I do remember it being reported Whitney demanded the 'jingle' NOT mention any corporate names or products specifically.

  • my favorite commercial....i wish i sounded like that on the other end of the phone! commercial should've been longer...LOL

    THE VOICE!

    she is so beautiful

  • Well this video is from 1994 and Whitney stated she started using drugs around 1990-91 so I'm not sure what relevance your comment has. Always negative instead of just posting something positive. Wow. I'd turn to crack too if I had to deal with super-critical people who probably have more skeletons in their closet than the person you're judging.

  • @Neno8403 ur right chile......judging her

  • Loved this commercial growing up been looking for it everywhere thanx!

  • Awesome; I have been trying to find this for a while now.

  • I remember this commercial like it was yesterday!! Her one stipulation for doing this was that it could not sound like an 'ad', it couldn't mention a product or company (in this case AT&T). She wanted it to sound like a song she would actually sing. They did a spectacular job of keeping the 'product' in there, the 'True Voice' campaign, but it didn't sound too much like a commercial jingle. STUNNING!!!

  • I remember this commercial! This was classic Whitney when her voice was at its peak.

  • i have no words. spectacular

  • she is amazing, when i was a little girl I use to run in the house just to hear this commercial..love her

  • Bloodclauuuuuuuuuuuut!!!!! Dis you hear that 'clear'?????????????

  • It's a shame that I almost shed a tear for a freakin' commericial!!! lol Whitney...simply the best!!!

  • absolutely my favorite commercial of all time...

  • You know, those choral background vocals accents her voice wonderfully. It had an etherial sound to it, almost Enya-like. I WISH she would do an album that goes back to this gospel-rooted style that suits her voice so brilliantly. With strong influences from Ce-Ce Winas, I'm amazed she hasn't done so yet. Her voice today may not have the pristineness we hear here, but you can't deny the *original beauty* it still contains. One of the best technical singers ever to live. Period.

  • This commercial was surprisingly modern for its day. Very nice...

  • Comment removed

  • She's so good they could've stretched this song out and made it a single.

  • OMG!!!! A voice touched by angels......

  • I recently went through my tapes and found this commercial on a tape from '94 when I taped the Subcommandate Marcos edition of 60 seconds

  • AT&T should recirculate this commercial. I would have bought the song if it was a single....LOL Great work Whitney.

  • Whitney could sing the phone book and people would still still buy her music!

  • Divine..... I haven`t words for this moment

  • I totally agree.

  • I remember this song this made many poeple switch to AT&T she has a gift to sing and to make you feel the song good idea for Whinety to do AT&T

  • I remember selling MCI long distance services to small businesses door to door in 1994. I was switching customer over almost every day. As soon as this ad hit the airwaves, my sales stopped almost immediately. I couldn't get people to switch over! LOL Probably one of the smartest moves AT&T did in the telecom wars of the early 1990's. Whitney sure had the midas touch.

  • @barnj30 Thats funny about the MCI thing. In the 80s when I saw Whitney on TV I would have done anything for her .I would have drink her bath water i loved her (image) so much. proved it was a fad like everything else.. She did stand alot longer than 90% of the singers these days.....80s rocked

  • @barnj30 Yeah, but "True Voice" was a disaster for modems. It came - and i went!

  • This should B reaired on tv 4 AT&T, it sounds so DAM GOOD

  • Man... it's been so long sine we've seen THIS Whitney. I had almost forgotten.

    What anawesome gift she had.

I sure do miss this artist.

  • @ShangoJamal check out the bets shes back

  • I still love this commercial so much! Whitney sold it like no one else could. Simply the best

  • I am smiling from from ear to ear. I can hardly find the words to express what I am feeling. I truly thank God for Whitney Houston.

  • Whitney looked like Miss. America!

  • wtf!how do you cut up on a dam phone commercial!aint nobody else on this planet that could make you go and sign up with at&t just by singing they ass off!

  • I got chills from that commercial. Is that wrong?

  • oh, she's so beautiful and I love her voice!

The voice the one and only. truly a gift from god!

  • either 3 things:

    1) you're living in a time warp

    2) you're living a lie

    3) you're living vicariously through whitney's past.TAKE YOUR PICK!!

but trust me whitney is far from either of the things you mentioned. the same source you got your negative information from you may want to revisit before you take the time to leave another post like that!!

  • Its just ridiculus... to have a voice like that... NO ONE can copy it.. GOD has blessed her.. her voice is heaven sent... people tell me I have a beautiful voice, and some cry when I sing.. but i tell you.. lol whitney got it lol

  • i love that commercial. whitney was awesome

  • What a voice!

  • i have been looking for this video...OMG i absolutely love this commercial...thank you so much for posting it...

  • whitney is soo beautiful!

  • I remember this commercial!

  • Thanks for posting the 'entire' commercial-lol

  • just simply the best singer of all time.

    oh i miss her.

i pray everyday for her to come back.

  • I remember this commercial very vividly.. I was around 9 years old when it was on the TV and I just knew it was an angel on TV. It always gave me chills and it still does to this day.. I hope we see this Whitney again.. voice of an angel.. with the strength of a lion.

  • I remember this commercial as a kid also, I use to keep the tv on the channel I knew it would come on and turn the volume up just incase I stepped out of the room and it came on I would know it, lol when it would I would drop whatever I was doing to run in the room and just stare at whitney....sighhhhhh the good old days, I still love her very much!!(:

  • wow i remember this.... times change things change... but my love of her voice wont... i was 7 when i heard this.... thank you youtube.. and james...this holds a memory that i mite not have ever accessed again had i not stumbled over this... just because 1994 and her face on that cover struck sumpn in my brain.. then.. i remembered...wow. thanks again j

  • This woman could sing the alphabet and it would be amazing. Her talent is just ridiculous and look how gorgeous she is. She is incredible any way you look at it.

  • GORGEOUS! TALENTED!! SUCCESSFUL!!! LEGENDARY!!!! ...I think we are seeing an angel here on earth.

  • yes...she sound so beautiful...she brings tears to my eyes...i miss her

  • Makes you want to get a landline!!!

  • LOL

  • How is it that a 1994 Whitney commercial sounds better than most songs on the radio today. She is simply amazing.

  • I've been looking for this. Thanks JamesAllenR. This is probably my favorite song from Whitney. Totally Angelic.

  • Whitney really is an attractive woman. No wonder she started out modeling. I think her ugly wigs distracts from her beautiful face. This wig looks great though. But that's just my opinion just like everyone else got one about her. I guess that's why Whitney is makes great conversation.

  • Dont mind Shango-whatever...he likes Shania Twain...nuff said.

  • I remember this commercial...."Just let me hear...loud and clear...the real you, coming through, your true voice." Beautiful.

  • oh my goodness i remember this. i used to love this commercial.

  • Haha I had to searched this up. My mom told me that when I was a baby I would stop crying everytime Whitney sang this song on this commercial. Nice to know. I find that I DO like the song. :)

  • AMAZING! Whitney Houston B.C.

(and y'all know what B.C. means)

  • What does "BC" mean?

  • Before Crack!

  • Before Cynical Assholes like you!

  • Why do people get so touchy when folk talk about Whitney's drug abuse.

We love Whitney, but we need to come out of denial and get a REAL GOOD GRIP!

Mother is on the way to restoring every area of her life, and we support her.

But she been lookin a soundin a lil CRACKISH for bout 10+ years. GET MAD ALL U WANT.

Y'ALL KNOW I'M TELLIN THE TRUTH!!!

  • But, saying Before Crack is cruel, rude, and immature. You could say other thins than that. Another thing, this was when she was in her prime!!! You could of said Bodyguard Era, Younger. Anything, but drug jokes and Whitney are soo old. Its just using Ray Charles drug allegations. PAST tense. She is back.

  • and another thing... YA MOMMA!!!

  • always a pleasure to hear her sing

  • Your true voice..ironic I love Whitney and she will be back to her true voice (God willing) soon I hope. At least this is what I pray for.

  • I remember this!

  • 1994

  • Whitney voice was so rested on here. Her soprano so natural and easy like it suppose to sound!

  • I agree, she does sound AMAZING....love her!!

  • Wow!! That's all I can say because that was beautiful!! I love her!

  • That's when she was both elegant and innocent, she's still elegant...just not as innocent.

  • That made me feel GOOD! DAMN...I miss that Whitney, but I'm waiting patiently cuz there was nobody like her!

  • OMG! I was only 11 years old! I used to love this commercial

  • PERFECT! Just PERFECT! Beautiful...no GORGEOUS & Talented...Flawless. Lol, i'm just speechless. She is just one of those things in life that are too beautiful 4 words.

  • Just Great My Luv

  • Wow! Thanks for posting her $4M jingle. I've always loved this commercial

  • U crazy chi2capcorn...I wish they would to me too..

  • I wish someone would pick up the phome and call me and sound like that on the other end

  • Whitney Houston in the closest to perfection we will ever get.

  • Amen!

  • If that AT&T commercial was out in 2007, the song would have been release as a single. I remember the Spice Girls did "Move Over" for Pepsi, and that song ended up being a track on their cd.

  • Shyt, ima goin straight up to get an AT&T's plan

    Thankx Whit

  • ...Whitney, Please marry me. I'm Baptist too. It could work. LOL!

  • She's awesome.

  • this is absolutely amazing--wish i had teeth/smile like that.

  • Simply WOW! I totally agree that this should be an actual song. She is the best singer of all time. Everyone's waiting on that comeback.

  • OMG!!! I love this! Wish it was a full song!!!
