@qora01m WOW! Glad to hear that you've liked this one so well! Good luck on your future model railway expansion! I just happened to stumble onto this song while watching one of my Subscribers Great Lakes Ship videos. He used the studio version of this song. I love this tune as well! Hey Thank You for stopping by qora!
@tartopfan LOL! Actually the UP was quite a bit longer than the BNSF. With all of the extra tonage, They were quicker on the downhill side, but much slower climbing the grades.
@paulntx Thank you Paul! The song is titled SRV in memory of (Steve Ray Vaughn) The artist is Eric Johnson. This is his live concert version. The studio version is just as good! I edited the song several times to get certain clips of audio that I wanted to hear & meshed them to get this final cut.
Well done! I can't help believe both Union Pacific and Burlington-Northern train engineers couldn't resist easing throttles forward to edge out the other guy.
@CAV1865 Thank You CAV! I know what you mean! I did notice the BNSF Conductor looking back behind them quite often as the UP was gaining on them! It sounded like they were all in notch 8. What a show! Sure wish the wind wasn't so overpowering on the camera mic. Hey Thanks for stopping by!
I have heard that the City Public Service of San Antonio, UP coal trains are about like that UP train in this video with total train weight around 15,000-16,000 tons. That a range of 115 to 125 cars trains. Massive!
This was from a conductor friend in SA that works for the UP.
@pdlip1 There were a few times when we've counted well over 150+ cars in some of these trains. This is most likely where San Antonio's coal comes from. You are correct on them being Massive! LOL! They're alot of fun to watch! Thank You for stopping by pdlip!
@CVandergriff2008 Yeah when I saw the 1st train I thought! He she comes! Then the second train rolled into view & thought!,....This is gona be good! LOL!
@ZoeToots This is nothing compared to what's hauled out of the region on a daily basis! We were at this location for about 2hrs. Very relaxing. But we saw more than 12 trains in just that short time frame!
@wsor95 Stay tuned! More to come later this week! I caught about a dozen trains rolling by here in less than 2 hrs! I muted most of the sound! It was realy windy so I used music & then added the unit noise clips that audio'd over the wind! *grin*
Can't help but notice that there were two "IDIOTS" who watched this video! There's always a few horses ***** in the group!

This video is the final kick for me to add a coal train to my model railway! Even the music is appropriate somehow. Very cool thanks for sharing!
