I never had a male, actually, for the first few years, I thought she was a boy. Never laid any eggs. Then I got a Female Cockatiel, and she laid a egg. Tonta started too, and its been alot of eggs. She takes calicum in her water, cause she lays alot of them.
They do change when they have eggs. They are very protective of the nests.
omg your lovebird is so cute! I have a lovebird but i never got a boy so she's never had eggs! What's it like for a lovebird to have eggs?

Really? My Lovebird Lili doesn't lay eggs does that mean she's a boy or she's to young because she's only 2 years old!

I think Tonta was around 4 yrs old when she started to lay.
I dont know how old she is. But I had her for a few years before it happened. You just dont know sometimes with small birds.
Just enjoy them for who they are. Tough little birds with attitude.

Ok my bird has the most attidude ever and she loves to bite but on her good days she's the cutest little bird ever!
