The reason why the Two-Face redesign was the best is because they hardly changed anything. They fucked up ALL of the other characters (with the exception of Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn, and their changes were minimal), by removing all their detail, making them more 'cartoony' in appearance and taking away their humanity.

@Sladieslade Totally right. It was a good way to end his run on the Animated Series, reminding us that he was a 'poor guy' when he was first introduced to us (as Two-Face). His introduction into the show was tragic, and it brought things full circle end it that way.

I love Batman, but prefer Superman over him. However, I think the main reason why Batman is more compelling than Superman is because his rogues gallery is more personal and psychological than Superman's. Two-Face is just one example of this.

Another one is that Superman is far too powerful and perfect. He is universally loved by the public and ordinary villains are as little a match to him as ants are to an elephant. Batman is seen as a rogue vigilante kind of hero who the public doesn't know if to trust or not. Since Batman has no superpowers he can get wounded or die when shot at. Bullets just bounce off Superman, heck a hydrogen bomb couldn't scratch him.

It's a shame they killed off Two Face in The Dark Knight. Harvey was two face for like a day in that movie. In Batman Forever he was Two Face throughout the whole film but Batman Forever didn't get his character down right. I hope they bring him back in the next Batman film because The Dark Knight's Two Face was most like this one.
