@unclealig - It is some youtube default. They disabled the sound on my video cause I put a mix of copyrighted music so i had to change it to something on youtube's music list.
I have one just like that except mine has a little logo that says "ray" and has an alien thing next to that. I got mine free at a dance because the dj saw me dancing alot... lol. I'm trying to find a brand name of this kind of laser. I don't want "some off brand" as an answer either...
most 5mw can go that far my 75mw gfreen one his this cell phone tower on a mountain behind my house around 2 miles...its gotta be complete black moonless night though
It probably doesn't feel light a lllb clearly because you're using rechargeable batteries. I've read that to get best performance out of anything to use powerful (non rechargeable) Alkaline batteries.
And if you concentrated that through a diamond, you get the same green beam but with the same 250mw... most likely a bit less... but you ahve to get rid of the fliter that you start with...
do you know how powerful that is? If you get any higher of a laser, it would no longer be considered a laser pointer. Mostly because it would be able to cut through stuff. Infact, replace the inside lense with something like say a small diamond, and you have a very high power james body style laser.
i purchased that same laser @ dealextream for 10.50 w/ free shiping and am waiting for the package now and my friend had one of these too and its hela bright and cool and i just had to have one
I got a replacement... and it seems brighter :P Not sure if it exceeds the <5mW. How "bright" is yours without the camera on a wall (white)? Painful to look at? (cameras usually show it lower in power than it appears)
On Amazon, it reads, "Output power:>5mW, wavelength: 532nm." for a green laser pen.
Doesn't >5mW mean Above 5mW of power? This concerns me because I don't wish to buy one too overpowered, but other than that, it seems great to buy. Please reply when possible.
Well, if you want to use the laser outside of your home and point in the sky (legally) and you live in the US and you want to have a laser that is almost 100% safe to eyes, then 5mW is your limit, which is the laser you see in the video. On my laser it says "Output Power <5mW"
Yea, but the laser is supposed to be a 5mW laser and Legal in the U.S. - read from the description. Why does it say Output power:>5mW when it's supposed to be 5mW or less?
Nevermind... when i received it, the laser had <5mW on it :) Also, detected some IR, but I do not think there is very much of it. It might have an IR filter of like 75% removal as it is very cheap.
your an idiot how can it light matches on 5mw it lights matches at 75-125mw..and those high powerd lasers are dangerous for your eyes they could blind you or do some serious damage to your eyes
Always remember never point them out of a moving car, The beam is visible in mid air & people with cell phones will call the cops at the near by rest area & they will pull your car over that your mom is driving & be an A** Hole to you :-)
No really, I speak from experience lol
Had one back when they were like $100 But it broke, Need to get another cheap one to play with, I have some X,Y, scan mirrors from old laser disc players & they look really cool when you hook stereo sound to them & Fog!
Ya, lol, Once we were sitting as a train went by. There was the Train, then the first guy at the crossing, then us. I rolled down the window and started to shine it on the train cars as they went by and the 2 guys in front of us were wondering where the heck it was coming from! lol But ya, NEVER shine it from a vehicle, never shine at a car or persons eyes and NEVER AT PLANES (Federal crime). :0
A <5mW Green Laser isn't gonna give off enough IR to be concerned about, so with or without IR Filters you have no need to worry, however don't look directly at any laser beam.
ya, but nonetheless, it is great for me imo and a great price. (I heard at Deal extreme, you could have gotten a 30 mW laser at same price as this one but i heard with them it is a hit or miss, and I didn't want to have to worry about it getting in anyone/anythings eyes
Ya, I am not exactly sure, but I am gonna say it DOES have one, but not a very good one. Where I bought it from did not say it didn't have one, so if it didn't, they could be held liable. (Example: At deal extreme, they say most of there lasers have no IR filter, even though they do but they are cheap and the higher powered lasers (>50mW) aren't blocked that great by them)
Ya, and i kinda wanted a safe one to show people that I know in public, so I didn't have to worry about damaging anyones vision by accidentally getting it in their eye or reflecting off of a mirror or something.
hey man please send me a link of this laser

mercanaries3 1 year ago
@brokenplanet1
yea thats true just last year i bought a laser for $235 in 2 weeks it got sooo boring...
i had no clue on what to do with it... so i just ended up giving it to my cousin
big waste of money never buying lasers over $40.
mercanaries3 1 year ago
@brokenplanet1
um excuse me there are 200mW green lasers that cost $100...and some are tested at 210mW.
and the beam looks like a light saber in the night sky extending out to 3 miles..
but yea i agree lasers are pretty useless to play with.
mercanaries3 1 year ago
5mw sucks ass....you can barely see the beam..
ive gotten a 125mW viper series laser beats 5mw by 100miles....

Because rechargeable batteries offer 1.3volts.
non-rechargeable batteries offer 1.5volts

Irelandz17 2 years ago
If it doesn't have an IR filter it will have like 5mw green and 30 - 50mw IR.
5mw green lasers use upto 250mw IR pump diodes.

nope that one does not have an IR filter on it,
i bought about 3 ebay lasers, that is one of the ones i got, now i have a proper laser though.
that doesn't mean you laser sucks, you just hafta be more careful with it when shining it near people.
