@believin13 Hello, I recorded the song first and since this is one of my earlier videos I used mspaint to create the picture then used it as a title when I edited the video. I now use powertab or Tuxguitar to write out the tabs and export measures as pics. I am looking for a better editor for MACs right now.
@believin13 I used the text part and put 0 thru 9 below the staff/lines then copy and pasted as I needed them. When I was all done I erased the numbers at the bottom and resized the whole thing to just the printed staff.
@dkblanke ooh ok, as soon as i got finished asking u i went and found the text but i was putting the numbers on the lines, but u put the numbers (0-9) below the lines. i see, i'm gonna try that out. so wen im done just save the work and add it to a video i want to display onto utube?
@dkblanke ok, man, thanks so much. i asked a couple of guys and they mention some software like u did, but not the ms paint like u did. then i started thnking, and tried. i just have to work on it some more. thank u soooo much. this has been buggin the hell out of me for months. dam i got. look me everyone. heheheee
@dkblanke well, some how i'm unable to copy from the list below the line like u said to do. i tried to right click to get the copy and paste, but couldn't get it. so i just went back on the line and put the numbers in that way. wuld it because i have WIN XP?
@believin13 you can't just right right click, you have to make sure you've selected the cut/crop (dotted square) in the tool bar. Then select the area/number to copy, then you can use the regular keys to copy(ctrl+c) then paste(ctrl+v) it will put what you copied into the upper left corner with the cut/crop box (dotted lines) around it. Then click and drag it to where you want it to be.
OS has nothing to do with paint, it's been pretty much the same since its inception.
@MrWookie007 Those are the base chords that you are playing, the other notes are just embellishments of the chords. You could have a second guitar strum them if you wanted to make it a duet or when the singing starts you use the same chords to sing over. They are mainly there for tonal reference, you can ignore them all together and just play the tab.
It's pretty good dude but it is slightly wrong. I've known this one for 20 years. Pretty tough to get it perfect. The 1st album recording is different from the Kiss - Alive album version. I know it both ways and the live one is the easier one and the one that most people play.
I've seen KISS front row at least 4 times live and heard them live at least 6 and Paul plays it different every time, so you're right, it doesn't match any album version or probably any live version.
This version was what I came up with after I saw them in the late 70's and my cousin showed me a version. I look forward to seeing your version. You can post it back here as a video response.
You are welcome, the tabs you usually find are the 2 guitars playing when the singing starts which is right after the intro that I play here. Paul plays it different every time I see him play it. This version comes from the late 70's.
Thanks Man!!! Every Tab I Found Is A Little Off And Always Say Theres To Guitars Doin To Different Things. But I Guess They Where Wrong? Thanks Again Bud:)
Ok ..Yours is the right way. But I will keep playing the version off Kiss alive. Your the best guitar teacher on youtube. I hope some of these young guys soak in some of your lessons..
Awesome, thanks for that. All the tabs I've found for this one focus a lot higher on the neck, but I've only seen Paul play it where you have it tabbed out, so this was nice to find. I'd been playing the more simplified second guitar part that plays behind this part in the intro, but now I can finally play the lead. Thanks a ton again.
yeah, that's what this tab is based on. My cousin actually showed me most of this back in the early 80's, the rest I filled in based on the chords and pattern being played.
Just follow the tablature, you can use 2 fingers, 3 fingers or a pick if you like. There's no formality to this. It is really what ever you are comfortable with or what you want to put time into.
@dkblanke what strings do you strum when you do this?

@believin13 you got it my man. When you copy and paste from the ones below the line, they all stay the same and it's quicker.

I know how to read tabs, but it says Am and Fmaj7 at the top. Those are chords, right? Are they meant to be played? In that case how and when?
Sorry for broken English.

Looks can be deceiving. learn it, then point out where, you may find it's just the video. You'll notice the video jumps in the 3rd measure.
Technology is a wonderful thing, when it works as expected :)
