I remember buying Maxine's Right Back Where We Started From on a 45! United Artists records. We played this 45 over and over until the grooves turned white!!! I also remember when she debuted this record on Dick Clark's American Bandstand! I was so surprised to hear her beautiful British accent when Dick interviewed her! Maxine still looks terrific! I actually saw her in concert when she opened for Shaun Cassidy (in 1977). I was seven years old. It was the first time I heard this song. It's amazing the things you remember as a kid. She still sounds terrific!

No Peter95111 , you're possibly thinking of Marcia Hines. Actually Hines is American but has lived in Australia for over 30 years. Maxine Nightingale is from Wembley in London England. One of her first 45's was on the English PYE label in 1969 when she was a teenager. She did her cover of Blood Sweat & Tears classic "Spinning Wheel". Good cover too.
