  • the engine on the 1986-1991 Ford Aerostar

    Engine

    2.3 L Lima I4

    2.8 L Cologne V6

    3.0 L Vulcan V6

    4.0 L Cologne V6

  • '

that is good aerostar van have 2 amber yellow lights on the rear taillights,,,

but this video is a not real go UP the hill on 019 to 022,,,

the videocamera was a little turn left down while up the hill

  • Funny, these were more of a truck/van then anything. It had a full frame and rear wheel drive like a Pickup truck. Unlike the minivan of today, front wheel, unibody

  • "Escorting Ladies"

Yeah because..you know..women just LOVE men who drive a minivans. And taking your kids to school in a Lotus is much more common. Yes..we're living in a parallel universe.

  • Swagger wagon

  • the 1986-1991 Ford Aerostar was assembled in

    United States: Hazelwood, Missouri

  • these 80's middle class double-income commercial are a hoot...doing the market and loading some overpriced piece of shit garden furniture into a mini-van. Makes me happy to be free-wheeling single gay guy who hates to shop with his nag,

  • compared to the Caravan, and Astro, this thing looks like a ferrari! God those old caravans were so ugly!

  • @Motorfordtoyota Yeah, pretty much all Mopar products of the '80s looked frumpy and outdated, save for the '87 LeBaron which still looks good today.

  • Escorting Ladies?

It's better suited for Escorting Grandma and her friends to Bingo.

  • haha...so true

  • @fordtruckman80 Escorting the Ladies LMAO! I couldn't pay a chick to get into my 93 XLT

  • I liked how they're shaped. Unlike newer ones that are all bulky and under powered. These commercials are cheesy as hell.

  • That was actually the last respectable minivan that Ford made before all the front wheel drive crap; like the Astro for Chevy.

  • We had a 1989 Aerostar in the same color combo as this commercial. Our was an extended length. We bought it new in 1989!

  • Astro is rwd

  • @Warren01s10 sorry, worded that wrong. I know, the Astro was a good rear drive van with the 4.3 V6; and again, when they got rid of that for the crappy Venture and

Uplander, they lost a good thing.

  • @brobinson75 uh ur wrong the Astro came out in 1985 and for 20 years llived until it's retirement in 2005. The Venture on the other hand came out in 1997 and for 7 years lived untill 2005 when the Uplander replaced it then in 2009 the Traverse replaced both the Traiblazer and Uplander.

  • @SaraP1900 whatever, basically they screwed up when they went to front wheel drive.
