  • Love Tamaqua. Spent every 4th July weekend their as a child. Had lots of family living in Tamaqua.Still do. Shout Out to Zoba's, Whychuli's, Shimku's &,Koch's.

Still looks the same. My heart ach's with love & warmth for Tamaqua. Thanks for the memories .

  • I was expelled from Tamauqua high school in 88 or 89. Lived out in sticks 14.5 miles fom Tamauqua. Yall should have a weekly train to Harrisburgh or Philly or have a Amtrak stop. They are still surface mining coal and polluting Little Schuckill Creek. I was in Trenchcoat gang. Glad I moved to Pittsburgh. Deer hunting very popular in Schuckill County. Hare Krishnas not welcome here.

  • Not what it used to be when I was young, but it will always be home no matter where I live.

  • sigh this town is the bomb

  • I am a true Tamaqua Blue Raider Class of 89. I live down south now but I will always remember the good ole days in "my small town". I will never forget "Tamaqua".

  • Oh my god, wanna move back right now. Will never lose that cozy small town feeling, it'll always be there. Thanks for the video. Tamaqua is as much fun as you make it. Grad - 1986

  • Got you all beat as I am very old, but this video does the town justice.

I recently gave the bank clock to the historical society that my dad removed from the bank building on Broad Street in 1960; it was in his garage for 48 years; I also have a great photo of my uncle in front of the original Indian statue in front of the old Tamaqua High School (now the high-rise).

  • I live in Jim THorpe which is also a small town like Tamaqua. This video was good and made me think of the "small town" I live in with the culture, history and the community. I moved away to a city few years back but returned to my small town for that down home feel. Thanks for that feeling in this video because I am sure we all could use it whether it is where you came from or the video made you feel it.

  • Proud to be Tamaqua Class of '95, East End Boy from birth to age 25+ . Thank you for this...I'd have stayed if the job market and economy there was good. I'll visit from Lancaster County from time to time!
