In season 2 episode 1: Allan said he was bored of being an outlaw, then he accidentily got arreaated, in order to save himself, he made a promise to Guisbourne to be his spy to Robin Hood. Allan was then found out in episode 5 and Robin kicked hi out of the gang. Though they reconcile at the end of the season.
