Rockabilly? My bro plays like this (just slower) & he thinks he's imitating Merle Travis and/or Chet Atkins! I guess he (we) don't know what rockabilly really was/is?

Rockabilly is a pretty broad term if you include modern stuff. I hear what you're saying about this sounding like a sped up version of Chet/ Merle, which is pretty skillful in itself! Rockabilly now is more like anything from that retro-loving scene, and this would fit in just fine at any rockabilly gig. Good on your brother, those guys are cool.
