mio padre mi raccontava com'era stata la guerra (in Dalmazia però) per noi italiani, e devo dire che la descriveva quasi allo stesso modo del film, si sparava poco, qualche rappresaglia, e senno' l'attesa.. la noia, e qualche donna.
Però nella scena del pranzo del matrimonio mi sembra che i commensali utilizzino degli inverosimili piattini di plastica (siamo durante la guerra...). MI sbaglio?

Being tolerant and being superior are different things that you are probably confusing. @kafidiolo well, I'm from Puglia. You know in Salento, the speak Salentino not only Griko. Salentino is an italianized ancient greek. You can say that 40 % of th words spoken are greek, 40 % Italian, 10 % other influences (spanish, french, arabic)
Sometimes especialy the old peoples, have problems to comunicate with other
italians, especialy from north Italy, because they never studied italian language.
Today, all the dialects of South Italy are protected and they teech it at school.

@Italianissimo86 What? I'm Neapolitan and nobody studies Neapolitan at school, neither is Sicilian studied... you serious? I'm keen about studying dialects (local languages), but we usually only speak them vernacularly because they are not normalised (like Catalan, for instance); I do think normalising languages nowadays is a violence on minorities, as for example Neapolitan changes almost every 4 km in sound and words, so you cannot write it only in one way and ignore the others.

@Italianissimo86 Beh, sono d'accordo, sulla storia, l'Italia è un paese fondato sulla menzogna (Garibaldi, Vittorio Emanuele, opportunisti in malafede), e sicuramente si stava molto meglio prima al sud. Però il 'volgare toscano' già era stato scelto come lingua franca in tutta Italia, e da tutti. Non vi era documento ufficiale nel Regno delle due Sicilie che non fosse scritto in italiano, con poche eccezioni perfino sotto il dominio spagnolo, benchè il Re privatamente parlasse napoletano.

Certo, sarebbe molto piu difficile, con tutti questi dialetti che abbiamo. Pero secondo me non sono dialetti, ma sono delle lingue vere e proprie, e bisogna salvarle.

Ho 42 anni...ne avevo 24...i sogni, le speranze, l'arroganza della giovinezza, quanta strada con questo film...come non amare Mediterraneo, il blu dell'Egeo, la musica di terre e tempi lontani. Un film perfetto è poesia. Quando arrivate ai 40 però vi do un consiglio se volete continuare a sognare... andate nell'incanto di kastellorizo qui capirete perchè Salvatores l'ha dedicato a TUTTI QUELLI CHE STANNO SCAPPANDO..

Ti stimo!! Ho 23 anni e sono innamorato di questo film, della sua dolcezza e sottile intelligenza. Amo questo film da tanto tempo.. La prima volta lo vidi con i miei genitori da bambino e mi è poi sempre rimasto in mente in un modo o nell'altro. E' stato bellissimo andarlo a ritrovare!!

E' uno dei miei film preferiti in assoluto,il migliore - secondo me - di Salvatores. Mi ha fatto sognare come pochi e poi è una bellissima storia di amicizia. Lo conservo gelosamente nella mia videoteca.

mio padre mi raccontava com'era stata la guerra (in Dalmazia però) per noi italiani, e devo dire che la descriveva quasi allo stesso modo del film, si sparava poco, qualche rappresaglia, e senno' l'attesa.. la noia, e qualche donna.
