SOE turns everything into garbage (it started out bad, got better, then much worse). I tried EQ2 again after 8 months off (only played it 5 months the first time, 2 the second) and lasted a total of three logins.
It has a lot of bugs and performance issues. Those would be acceptable but the game-play has gone down hill, it's unbearable. The decent people have left and the current community is full of deranged aggressive half-wits.
Oh and today I discover they charged me after canceling...yuck
the biggest problem with EQ is some Dillweed decided it was a fantastic idea to keep releasing EQ 1 Expansions as well as EQ2 ones so it has most of the gamers confused,.
That wouldn't be surprising. A lot of mechanics have been changed because of PvP.
They also keep messing with class balance for that and screwing them up for anything else. Fortunately, they said PVE wouldn't be affected by changes for PVP....
They should've stuck with their original statements, the game wasn't built with PVP in mind so it'll never be good.
SOE uses the word "FrostFell" instead of the word "Christmas". "FrostFell" takes place every year around "Christmas" time. It's a winter wonderland zone. It looks just like end zone of Everfrost near the Permafrost zone in. I hope this year it's something different instead of the usual SOE "cut and paste" zone. Thanks for the comment RoidinRichie.

Correct, take Vanguard for example. It was supposed to be the end all be all MMORPG. Before Vanguard was released,in EQ2, Everybody talked about leaving EQ2 for Vanguard. @Palladiuman Vanguard is actually a fairly good game now. They fixed most all of the bugs that made it unplayable. The only problem now is the game is underpopulated for the gigantic world it has.
yeah if SOE publishes an mmo they'll give the development team total freedom...for about a year. Then after that they take control, rape the team of any control they had, make a bunch of mindless changes,and ruin the game for everyone who loved the game and were loyal to it. SOE sucks

ROFL if jumping off roofs is the only thing u can find to do in eq2 for fun...........I do think it would be cool if eq2 brought back levitation spells, items. That is one aspect I miss from eq1.

The are LOTS that they took out. I didn't have time to record them all like I wanted to back in Dec 06 like I wanted to but this is all I have recorded. There are too many to list! I'm starting to make a lot of videos and getting into Machinima but the things I had planned are impossible now thanks to SOE. Thanks for the post

Acquire game. Hype game. Release game. Lay off developers. Outsource. Remove game features (making it easier to maintain). Add game to Station Pass.

It WAS fun but that is one of the things they(Sony) took out of the game. You can't jump around like that anymore while on a mount.
