@stonemarie There are no plans for this coldframe I built. It came out of my head and the Greenhouse catalog people. The best I could suggest is perhaps emailing me at billfarm at gmail dot com and we can continue the conversation some easier way. I'm pretty sure we could get you going once we figured out your skills, tools, experience and how much time you had.
Bill, we wouldn't normally recommend PVC for something as large as this (our kits are all made with composite rather than PVC). Are you happy with the strength? The cold frame is beautiful...we may have to start offering this in custom-made sizes. The chain is a great idea too.
The PVC worked great for this particular build. I'd guess this was due to no PVC length was longer than four feet. I think that is the key. I am interested in the composite material too. When I asked, it seemed as if the composite might be only available as part of a kit. I would even substitute PVC fittings for the bottom corners since the S/S/S 3/4 fittings are easy to come by and are rigid enough. The frame is doing great in teh 45 mph winds we had recently.
